Hi I have a problem with Navigraph not accepting Flights that have been Validated by Simbrief. One example was the following. Cut from Simbrief and Pasted into Navigraph Flights. Malagar to Inverness BLN2H BLN UN865 DELOG UN864 NITON UP17 NOKIN UP16 RIBEL UN601 TLA UL613 FINDO N610 LAGAV Your route is valid for AIRAC 1808! Route distance: 1302 nm (+ 3.9%). I had entered a flight name, and put in Departure and Arrival Then it comes up with a message :- This Route is Invalid. I have double checked and found no obvious problem. This has occurred on three different routes now. I have had other successful flights. …

Orbx TrueEarth Netherlands in Aerofly FS 2. Quote from the creator: "The only stutters you'll see in this video are lags caused by the video recording program, not in the sim itself. Even more remarkable is that this video was captured in 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels). Computer is an i7 4790K at 4.5GHz and a GTX1080 video card." Now I don't know it it's entirely true about the stutters, because AFS2 can have an occasional stutter when it is loading (far away) buildings, but I do know I can't get this done in any other civil flight sim. Not even close. The video is one big impressive ride but you might for instance skip to 8:00 for some impressive low flying.

Does anyone here in the community know ; 1) if flyaoamedia, com is supported still or has is become inactive. (I've send their 'support a message just now so I may get that part of the answer soon anyway) 2) if the flyaoamedia training product 747 PMDG is worthwhile given the subsequent updates to the PMDG 747 product line. I looked for a full training schedule for this flight sim. Thank jack

Tried looking for a suitable forum to ask this but none really relevant. So I'm thinking of trying a bit of combat simming but not really sure which camp to plump for as both have pro's and con's for me. I plan to use my vr headset with the winner, so l'm looking for advice on peoples experiences, especially jf you have both. My pro's and cons are, dcs has carrier based ops and more jet ops,but il2 seems to have lots more ww2 based a/c so will have less automation and will have more manual dog fighting Thanks

This has just got to be FSX/P3D. Kind of an odd feeling, but its actually comparable visually to custom reenactments using (presumably) much more high-end equipment.

I know a lot of users on Avsim use this product - this article is just a caution - also the new version could affect performance by running in the background. This is meant for information only - https://www.howtogeek.com/361112/heres-what-you-should-use-instead-of-ccleaner/ Vic

Shortly after the Farnborough Airshow, I read a post either here or at SOH (I can't remember which) in which what appears to be a traditional loop was performed twice. There was some friendly back and forth debating whether it was truly a loop or something that only looked like a loop because of the camera's angle and extreme zoom. I mean, everyone knows a C130J "Super Hercules" can't do a loop, right? Well, this morning I found the definitive answer to the question directly from the aircraft's pilot! https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/lockheed-martin-lm-100j-stunts/index.html Spoiler Turns out it was neither of the above. It was a 'corks…

I'm trying to get a better understanding of STAR charts. I've search on Google but can't find the answer. On the Navigraph STAR charts each leg of the STAR shows four numbers. (I'm looking at the CHINS 3 arrival into KSEA) First the heading for that leg, then what looks like an altitude which I understand is the minimum allowed altitude for that leg, then a number like 6600T and then the length of that leg (I think). Question 1: What is the meaning of 6600T? Question 2: If the STAR contains altitude restrictions at certain waypoints (12000 ft at AUBRN for example), why would the minimum altitude shown for the leg to that waypoint (7000 in this example) b…

Where are you at, how did you get there and where are you going? I'm curious about the progression paths that virtual pilots choose for their virtual "careers". By this I mean what are you flying now vs what you started out with? Did you dive in at the deep end with a deeply-simulated tubeliner or progress from simple trainers to more complex aircraft and so on up the ladder? What learning resources did you use? Have you reached the "pinnacle" of your flying career or do you have other aircraft, projects or types of flying you'd like to try?

Hi I'm sorry if this is in the wrong area on Avsim, but I am interested in what happens in the real world when it comes to planning an arrival. On the videos I've watched, most of them enter a SID and arrival runway, even before they've got clearance to takeoff from their departing airport! The built-in ATC for P3Dv4 takes you off your flight plan and directs you to the active runway when you get close to the arrival airport, which has always seemed right to me, since only then may you know the active runways, weather, etc. I'm thinking of using ProATC, and I'm just worried about how that is different to the P3D flight planner when it comes to this. Will …

All survived! By Lew K. Cohn Managing Editor Burnet Bulletin The famed Bluebonnet Belle C47 Skytrain, which assisted in Hurricane Harvey relief efforts and was an integral part of the Highland Lakes Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force, crashed Saturday morning, July 21, at Burnet Municipal Airport's Kate Craddock Field in Burnet while attempting to take off for an air show in Wisconsin. Fourteen people were aboard the Belle, headed for the annual Oshkosh Air Show when the plane left the runway shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday and crashed before catching fire and eventually exploding. Miraculously, all 14 people aboard the craft survived the crash…

I saw this posted yesterday at SOH: The pilot was Marty Tibbitts, president of the World Heritage Air Museum, which owns/operates quite an expansive collection of flying vintage jets. They were scheduled to be bringing the de-Havilland Venom and a Gloster Meteor to Oshkosh for this coming week, as part of the celebration of 100 years of the RAF. Absolutely tragic news. This is a truly sad beginning to what is supposed to be a week of absolute delight.

The video below shows a night time flight in the crew 2. This is what next-gen flight simulator could look like link to YouTube : A few thing to note: * there are way many more point lights than fsx-based scenery can support, maybe even p3d * the visual range at altitude seems to be at least 70nm which would be passable even for airliners * the visual range is also greater than GTA * buildings can be zoomed in to street level where you can look into windows, (no texture map walls, but fully detailed buildings) * the miniature USA features most of the US landscape types and 4 autogen types , taking about 20 GB+ (Includi…
