HI All, I love Helomissionman's missions. I have tried to use his email he puts in his missions. Does not seem to go through? Does anyone know how to get in contact with him? I have some mission ideas, I would like to pass on to him. I do not seem to have the knowledge to make them myself. Thanks, Brad

Hello all, I went looking on the forums to see if there was a dedicated thread for streamers (search button didn't show anything), and I don t want to appear to be spammy. Been into simulators for a while, and I currently fly in the real world. I have gotten my twitch stream up and running, and currently have been focusing on the airliner side of the house rather than anything else, but will eventually branch out into different platforms. Not sure how many of you would want to watch, but so far the feedback has been positive, overwhelming, and well received. Looking to grow and morph the channel to help more sim enthuasists like yourselves out. Feel free to fol…

Of lately I am noticing advertisements on Avsim forum (e.g., just now I see MandM Direct, evidently sports clothes, also often see something called Joker. Just curious how these ads work. Are they selected from search histories of the current user, or from search histories of Avsim members in general, or are these just ads that have paid Avsim to run them??

Two blind pilots were both wearing dark glasses. One is using a guide dog and the other is tapping his way along the aisle with a cane. Nervous laughter spreads through the cabin, but the men enter the cockpit, the door closes and the engines start up. The passengers begin glancing nervously around, searching for some sign that this is just a little practical joke. None is forthcoming. The plane moves faster and faster down the runway and the people sitting in the window seats realize they're headed straight for the water at the edge of the airport. As it begins to look as though the plane will plough into the water, panicked screams fill the cabin. At that moment, the pl…

I like to check in from time to time, to see how Reaction Engines are progressing with their air breathing rocket engine. Could of course be utterly revolutionary and change everything. https://www.reactionengines.co.uk/news/news/reaction-engines-completes-further-validation-sabre-technology

Phew, looks like Apophis won't hit us for at least the next 100 years. We're safe lads! However, as you know, I often create miraculous inventions for the benefit of mankind in my shed, so will continue to develop my asteroid deflector ray. Can't tell you how it works, it's physics and stuff and you wouldn't understand. If there's anything else you'd like me to invent in my shed, please let me know. https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/space/apophis-asteroid-god-of-chaos-risk-b1823053.html

The first two shots are of a Cooper's Hawk. Identifiable by the black streaks on it's chest. The next three shots are of a Red Tail Hawk. Notice the bellyband of brown and black feathers across it's belly. The third shot was a lucky one. I was walking in the park and just happened on this Red Tail hawk that had just picked up a dove. The next two shots are of a Swainso n's. It's identifiable by the brown feathers that cover it's head and come down to the shoulders like a hood. The next two sots are of a Northern Harrier. Harriers are different than hawks in that they don't soar above looking for prey and then swoop down on it. Harriers fly nape of …

Well, it seems our beloved Queen was wresting on the floor in mortal combat with two of her Corgi's, trying to break up a fight, when one of them took a chunk out of her hand. I'm sorry, but an image of the queen rolling around on the floor, batling two rabid Corgi's, is like something from a bizarre LSD trip. Does the Queen not have official Corgi wrestlers? If not, I might apply. Disclaimer: The above may contain extreme exaggeration. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/queen-needed-stiches-after-being-23760487

This week's bird is the Interior Lesser Tern. It has just been taken off the endangered species list but is still protected by the Migratory Bird Regulations. The quality of these pictures is not very good because they were so far away. I had my zoom out to 500mm but I could still not clearly see them. I cropped them as close as I could without making the pictures grainy. It was a team effort. The biologist and I were out counting birds and he spotted the terns. I set my camera on a tripod and framed the distant birds. He was looking at them through a 40 power spotting scope and he told me when to snap the pictures. 1 - The male tern offers the female…

TWA TriStar card deck (passed on the Convair deck). But I got a local pilot’s leather flight bag from 1960s into 70s. Inside it was chock full of goodies. Kneeboard with red light, Whiz Wheel with instruction book, flight plan cards (?) from local airports in 1961 to long, multi-leg trips into the 70s, hold templates, low altitude sectional charts, approach plates, notes, and other stuff including earplugs. It’s like opening a time capsule. Glad to give it a good home, and it will no doubt find its way into my simulated world.

OK I know, this thread will get locked, but I thought it interesting enough to post with or without replies. This involves a local guy (to me). Apparently he lives in the parish of Chaigley. Knowing the area, because I live in Chipping, my guess is he may live here because why else would there be a windsock in his grounds? If so, then his house is only 3 miles or so from the village... https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.8737374,-2.5123359,521m/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en-GB https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.8740735,-2.5114675,3a,15y,192.75h,92.33t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s9trgLptpPKPyPMXFemzPOw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en-GB Drops in with his Hughes 369 to pick up a sarnie …
