  4. Former F18 pilot. Witnessed UAP as airline pilot. Plus, in 2002, flying F18's, he was vectored toward an object on radar. They were at 25000 feet. The object on radar was at 5000, so they zoomed down to just below 5000 feet so their radars were looking up, to avoid issues from the ocean. When they got within 5 miles, and with a huge closure rate, traveling above the speed of sound, the object instantly matched their speed and became stationary on the radar. Then it out accelerated them and left the radar screen. The weirdest thing is that the aspect vector of the target was pointing at them. So it was almost like it was heading toward them, flew backwards to mat…

In the sky tonight. There are several live feeds on youtube. But you may want to go outside if there's a clear sky.Might be epic.... It was last here 50,000 years ago. Maybe Fred Flintstone saw it.

  6. There's something about these videos that draws me in. For me, they are kind of like time-window's that let me look directly into another era, and the sharpness of the video (and the addition of color and sound design) creates an immersion that draws me in to the point where I try to imagine what life was like for these strangers from another time. Where were they going? Who are they? What where they thinking? What was important to people then? Where they happier than people now? Did they wonder about the future? Did they find fulfilment before the end? Will people from our future look back at our videos and wonder the same? I expect may…

My wife is in the hospital right now. They were supposed to remove a stomach blockage. But they can't remove it. It's too large. So Monday or Tuesday they are bringing her back home. She will not be allowed to eat solid food. Just water and juice and other liquids. I think she'll be able to eat Jello. I talked to her on the phone yesterday evening. I told her she was coming home and there would be a hospice nurse to take care of her. Then she asked if she could get up. I told her yes, she could walk around the house, feed her cats, sit with me in the living room and watch television. Then she asked me if she could go shopping. I told her I would take …

In the SE for a few weeks. Better than -10 F at home. I was hoping to find a local FBO or similar around Gulf Shores,AL where I could do a discovery flight in one of the modern single engine planes like the Sling TSI or the new er RVs or maybe even a newer KitFox or one of the new ones you might see at OshKosh. The local FBO only has 172s. But maybe someone knows something about this area...thanks

Nine sloths on their way from South America to Indonesia were trapped in the cold when the aircraft got stuck on a taxiway. Three of them froze to death since noone checked up on them for 24 hours. Really noone could be bothered to do anything about them? I'm sure the pilots got of the aircraft so I'd asume the animals could have been moved to a more suitable location too. In all of the sims I’ve used, when flying into a new ATC area with flight following, they automatically seem to know what my transponder code is (or at least they never assign a new one). Is this real? Does one ATC zone contact the next when they pass you over and give them the code or something?

  12. When I first bumped into this story I thought it must be some sort of internet hoax, somebody's idea of a joke Maybe? Realizing that this was serious, immediately a ton of questions occur. How could something like this happen? How securely are these things stored? Apparently this just fell off a truck somehow, and my imagination fails in trying to picture the sequence of events in which something like that could occur... In any case, heads up!

If you're not familiar with ChatGPT, it's an amazing new Microsoft chatbot available for free to the public ( https://openai.com/blog/chatgpt/ ) . I asked it to write a poem about MSFS, and it instantly printed the following: The skies are my canvas, the world my stage With Microsoft Flight Simulator, my journey's engaged. From the cockpit, I take control As I explore cities, mountains, and coastal shoals. The realism takes my breath away With every detail, it's like I'm really there to stay. I fly over landmarks, I know so well And discover new places, I've never been to dwell. The technology is amazing, it's hard to b…

Ok I feel dumb for asking this but here goes! Just got a new Android TV. I tend to fall asleep while watching it at night and want it to switch off automatically after a set amount of time. The menu system shows two choices: Standby Timer (3hr/4hr/5hr/6hr) Sleep Timer (15min/30min/1hr/2hr/3hr/4hr) Whats the difference? The documentation isn't clear. Thanks much.

Yesterday morning I had to call an ambulance to take Betty to the emergency room. He stomach was full and she has a gastric-intestinal blockage. They made her comfortable but they have airlift her to Las Cruces to a hospital that has a gastric-intestinal surgeon. Unfortunately because of the weather they couldn't airlift her until about 20 minutes ago. So she had to spend all day yesterday and last night in the emergency room until the weather cleared. We have two first class hospitals in Roswell but no specialty surgeons in town. Anything more than an appendectomy has to be done elsewhere. …

I got a mailer card from my electric power provider that informed customers who did not want or could not afford solar panels and renters that if they wanted to go green they could tap into solar power through the provider. It would cost an additional 3.5 cents a killowatt hour. I'm going to call them on Monday look into it. I want to know what percentage of my power would come from solar. I'd be willing to pay the extra 3.5 cents if I was getting a significant amount, say 50% or more. Noel
