  1. Doent matter what side of the fence you sit one, these layoffs are never anything more than corparate greed. But continue to point the finger if it makes you feel better
  2. It would be interesting to see this same screenshot with : Adjusted scene tone + Adjusted the terrain colour left at default MSFS settings and they only played around with the sky. As mentioned earlier this screen shot is pretty much a direct one to one comparison with P3D V5 with Ea enabled which I absolutely hate.
  3. Comparing the before and after shots it looks like they just turned MSFS into P3D V5 with EA enabled wich most peolple here seem to hate.
  4. Definately not a Dreamliner if these are the teaser shots. The 787 uses Torx plus not phillips fasteners.
  5. That is why we are bombarded with ads is it not? I for one will not be donating again while these ads exist. And the post above is definately another reason.
  6. Like the servers being cutoff in traditional MS style > The company that will spend 68.7 billion to aquire another, only to immediately lay off 1900 staff which cost the company 0.00000000000000000000000000001 pennies by comparison.
  7. The fake marketed renderings look fantastic. I'm sure for $104.95 the actual physical product is going to look like word not allowed.
  8. WOW!!! This thread is over 15 years old!..... LOL. Sorry but I no longer have the info needed but if you go over to www.mycockpit.org I believe they may have 747-400 files available to download for registered members. All the best Gary
  9. I have to admit, when its all quiet on the PMDG front I look fwd to when ever someone entices RR into a quick game of whac-A-mole as usually all of us patiently sitting quietly on the sidelines get a nice little update.
  10. And runways that follow the contour of the landscape, Third party developers can take care of the rest.
  11. That is good news, Thanks for the link.
  12. Looks like CAE is in the process of purchasing Lockheeds commercial flight training division. It doesn't mention Lockheeds military simulator division but I wonder if this could possibly affect the development and attainability of P3D to the general public http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/cae-strikes-deal-for-lockheed-martin-flight-training-unit/article28833359/
  13. So you choose to not fly a magnificent aircraft because you don't like the look of 2 cosmetic sidewall panels? I find that rather humorous
  14. Some questions have been asked by many people who are looking fwd to the release of V2 over the course of the last few days, yet the only person who gets answers is the guy debating whether or not the -400 is still relevant in todays world.
  15. Looking fantastic, Thanks for the update. Just a quick question. The cockpit as pictured is based on Delta Airlines hence the grey seat covers and blue carpet. Will selecting a different airline bring a full brown cockpit with the normal brown carpet and seat covers or is the Delta config the only colour option for the virtual cockpit? If the virtual cockpit changed with the airline that would be a brilliant feature.
  16. If you haven't done so already, the best bet would be to look at the PM subforums at mycockpit.org. They are still active and hopefully someone will be able to help you out. As the issue is happening on the software side you can at least rule out a coding issue with the throttle control board. Some users are using the freeware prosim Jetstream 737 model and PM with some success. Having to buy yet another suite to get the functionality you want shouldn't be necessary I would think. I hazard to guess that its something in the 737 aircraft cfg or airfile that needs tweaking, but as I don't fly the 737 its not something that I'am able to troubleshoot with you unfortunately.
  17. Most users have moved on to other glass cockpit software, hence the probable reason for the lack of responses.
  18. I read an article from a couple of weeks ago regarding the 747-8 simulator you are opening in Washington DC using Flightdeck Solutions Hardware. RSR mentions a software simulation suite that is able to use networked computers. Is this networkable simulation suite an option in the upcoming FSX/P3D versions being released shortly or is this a cockpit building software suite that is over and above what will be available to desktop simmers? Thanks Gary
  19. You can, but it takes some work. You can view this post to see what is involved http://www.flightdecksolutions.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5067&highlight=pmdg
  20. This 30 frames per second was debunked years ago. The feature film industry uses motion blur which is why 24 fps became the standard. Even that is changing. Level D collimated displays require a minimum of 60FPS for certification. Why would that be? Saying you cant see a difference past 30FPS is hogwash. Just like saying a 560ti is all you need for FSX BTW.
  21. Your 2600k is more than adequate to get better frame rates in dense areas if you are willing to overclock the cpu. There are plenty of tutorials on how to overclock your processor with your motherboard. You already have good compnents that you are not using to the full potential. Add a descent cpu cooler, GTX770 or 970, overclock to a safe 4.0-4.5 ghz and save yourself the hassle of a full system rebuild and install.
  22. This problem was bought to the attention of LM late last year. It wasn't corrected for v2.2. but has this been corrected in V2.3? Thanks Gary
  23. I haven't used the Saitek, but did you try recalibrating your controllers in windows again before doing it in FSX/FSUIPC? Gary
  24. I don't have a problem with anyone sharing their experiences. This is obviously a PC specific problem. Fix that first, then come and tell us all about it.
