I have built a new PC... and added all my cockpit hardware (no change). Copied all my config XML files over from my previous system. For some reason, my devices are no longer recognized so all the assigned buttons are red for them. But the devices themselves are active and show under hardware blacklist as allowed, and if I remap the buttons, they work. Strangely, my X-Touch Mini is no longer connected and it's mappings are not showing as red. So what happened here? How do I avoid having to remap all the assigned buttons on these devices? ps. I still have access to the drive on my old system but can't boot it.... it's only accessible as a D: drive.

I have my rudder pedals assigned in the aao config for every aircraft in MSFS. I just recently had to replace those pedals. I'm hoping there is a way to edit each of these configs to make the necessary changes (delete them and assign them ingame) for the new pedals without having to load each aircraft individually in the game. I can't figure out how to do this. Any advice? Thanks Sorry about this. I figured it out. For some reason I didn't want to look in the "Templates" tab since I wanted to edit Configs, not Templates. Duh! It's right there: Edit Config Files.

Hi, when I look at sim events via AAOs, it seems some switches on my Bravo that are bound via the sim controls options are constantly spamming the sim. For example, one switch is bound to turn on taxi lights, and it’s constantly sending that event… several times a second. The other switches appear to be doing the same. Is this potentially impacting performance? Should I bind all switches through AAO? Does AAO only send one sim event to the sim on the initial button activation and reduce the spamming/load? Or am I worried about nothing here.

I am programming a FIP that display an image when the temperature of the cabin is an specific range. I can program the image to be visible when the temp is higher than a value and also when is lower than another value, but i cannot do both at the same time. I can do this: <Visible> (L: CabinTemp, celsius) 27.5 >= </Visible> Or this: <Visible> (L: CabinTemp, celsius) 35 < </Visible> But the programme does not work if I try <Visible> (L: CabinTemp, celsius) 27.5 >= AND (L: CabinTemp, celsius) 35 <</Visible> <Visible> (L: CabinTemp, celsius) 27.5 >= (L:…

Hi Folks. I'm new to this forum and I'm looking for some help with mapping the Longtitude MFD GTC's rotary knobs to my Xtouch mini rotary knobs. A friend over in the WT Discord channel gave me this event AS3000_TSC_Vertical_2_INC/DEC for zooming the screen. However, the list of html variables in AAO does not list that. How would I find that in AAO? To be fair, my friend uses a different programme from AAO. Can anyone advise me on the best way to find the correct event for zooming the MFD screen in AAO? I don't mind a spot of trial and error, but I am unsure how to do that for html events. I have watched a few YT videos and have grasped the basics of using AAO but I am no…

Can the Web-CDU/FMC for the Asobo 787-10 be made to work for the Kuro 787-8 which uses the Asobo 787-10 as it's base? the only bit that appears not to be working is the actual screen the two keypads display and work but the screen isn't displayed.

When watching simconnect events on default airplanes without WASM, all the events mapped from the sim controls page or the external AAO mapping buttons are shown. But on some creator airplanes like Arrow, not all control-generated events appear in the Events window. My theory is these particular events are taken over by WASM code, replaced, and rendered invisible to both the AAO window and Sim core. 1. Do you know if this is likely explanation for the disappearing events? 2. If simconnect event types and data can be modified by WASM, does the sim, or AAO, make sure that the AAO listener always sees the changes made by WASM - the AAO is at the end of the event c…

Hi, just a note that I recently updated AAO and the Streamdeck plugin and had a problem getting button presses on the Streamdeck to register in the Sim. It turns out the WebAPI port the plugin was using was different from what the app was defaulted to (9080). It might reduce issues for folks if the plugin was set to use the same port (9080) be default.

Hi, Started getting this error now suddenly. Just worked fine 1h hour ago, but when I booted my computer, AAO gives this error. I reinstalled a few times already with restarts in between. Checked that there are no leftover files either in the installation folder. Google says it's some C# common error. What can I do to fix this? Error text

Searching the web for an example here. Can't find anything. I'm trying to set up the Condition Lever on the C208. Gave up on trying to find an axis that works. I have three keyboard commands assigned to "Cutoff", "Lo Idle", and "Hi Idle" which move the stick just fine. Reading the manual, it appears it is possible to use the "Enter virtual event" from an assigned axis to send a sequence of keystrokes to the sim. The keystrokes I want to send are F1, F2, F3. I tried hitting those keys in succession as the manual indicates but nothing is happening. If I could just see an example of someone who has done something similar I would be most grateful.

This is FYI mostly. In effort to make all controller profiles completely automatic, I set up a singe profile in msfs and control everything unique to an aircraft in LAaO. This works very well except for the airliners. I have tried every throttle axis I can find and nothing makes the throttles in the A310 work. I had to set throttles in the msfs profile to get them to move. For the other airliners, I ended up using "Simulator Events" (second entry) and locating a "Throttle Set" command that made them work. No such luck with the A310 so I had to stay with the msfs profile for that one. The Flaps axis jitters around and is completely unusable with a number …

Hello, Recently I found some time to realize an idea I had for a while now, which is automating and extending the GSX flow with AAO and RPN scripting in a more realistic way. I got a bit carried away and ended up with a Turn-Around-Coordinator that works pretty well. Apart from controlling GSX it also integrates with SimBrief nicely and speaks a little bit. I know RPN scripting is probably not exactly the right tool for that but it gets the job done anyway (and I did not have the time to really dive into programming). There are a couple of things I noticed, only meant as constructive feedback or possible corrections of misunderstandings: From the docu…

Looking for some help to help out a newbie in stream deck and AAO. I'm currently trying to create a replica of the Just Flight's F28 overhead panel on the stream deck. I'm using the "receiving events from simulator" window to get the events and "observe Variables in simulator" to get the var's but there are a lot of switches that are not recognised or show in either window. Now, will this be because of something from AAO, MSFS or Just Flight?

Hi - My use of AAO is limited to getting the best out of my Virpil hardware, and exclusively in VR, so no panels, but it's still an awesome solution for doing that. Just gotten hold of the A2A Commanche, and falling in love with it.. My Virpil landing gear lever actually has three positions and so I was excited to see if I could make the best use of the possibility in the EFB of fully using the three way switch in-plane. Trouble is, there is still only the GEAR_UP and GEAR_DOWN functions to call. Obviously I need to program "if in this position and this button called then do this or do nothing" - but my understanding of the code is patchy to say the le…

I'm trying to assign the Heading Bug in the C172 to a knob on the XTouch Mini. I want to turn the knob CW to increase the bug heading and CCW to decrease. But it is not behaving as the assignments call for. The actual behavior is something like this: Turn knob slowly: One assignment lights up and Bug goes opposite direction of knob assignment, Turn knob fast: Both inc and dec assignments light up and conflict with each other so the bug just wobbles in place. Any ideas how to get this working?

. I am using the new Just Flight F28. Despite the initial axis assignments and saving them in AAO, when I restart the sim AAO fails to work as well as having assigned the axis from one device to a different device. For example, the ailerons are initially assigned and saved as CH Yoke. When I restart the sim, AAO sees it as an axis in CH Pedals. . The elevator axis, which is assigned to msfs control, works fine. I don't know why. The problem is erratic, so it's difficult to determine the cause. The buttons work fine, so I know that AAO is properly connected to the sim. https://imgur.com/a/rXqDtck

The X-Plane version of AAO has been delayed in favor of the P3D V6 variant. The XP version will come at a later time. Change: added Prepar3d V6 variant Change: Option to export multiple templates in one go Change: Added "Filter" boxes to selected template/config selection dialogs Change: Added dialog to call AAO web pages Change: Gauges: added VerticalAlign parameter and script options for horizontal and vertical alignment Change: Gauges: GaugeText can now be multiline te…

Hi, So been knocking around with this and my google-fu isn't good enough to see the answer.... I'm trying to set up a Bravo gear lever with the new inbuilt events but I'm missing something as it's not working for me. I set up the button for gear down - key down event #70087 (EVT_GEAR_LEVER) with a value of 2 for down and 0 for up. I can watch the "receiving events from simulator" window and see either 0(>K:#70087) or 2(>K:#70087) show up so I believe it's making it to the sim, but there's no action on the gear handle. Not sure exactly what I'm missing. The only reference to the values I can see is the line in the SDK unsigned char MAIN_Gea…
