AxisAndOhs Support

Oliver- Just purchased this for my VRInsight Boeing MCP2 (and everything else). I'd like to keep axis in MSFS and just use Axis and Ohs for the MCP and Buttons. I'm having some difficulty getting things configured correctly and was hoping that there would be a support forum for this bit of kit. Also, it would be splendid if there could be MODULES written for individual aircraft. a la LINDA, where it was a simple matter of downloading the file and clicking SYNC. Quick response to the more common pay ware aircraft would, I believe, go a long way towards general adoption. Hi all, I have been using the trial version with some stream deck profiles for MSFS 2020 and now want to purchase the full version. Do I need to uninstall the demo version and then re install the full version? If this is the case will I need to re import the script for the stream deck that I used on the demo version? I have this script assigned to one of the buttons on my Midi controller (Korg nanoKONTROL2) and the camera does not pan to the custom view defined as Alt+1. Alt + 1 is invoked using the Insert Virtual Key button (Insert Vkey) My comments start with "//". Any ideas ? (FOCUS:FlightSimulator)· // Works ok. Just wondering if it is possible to program one of the lighted buttons on the panel to light up (flash) when a certain condition is met. For Ex: I would like to program the "REV" button lamp to flash when I reach my altitude chosen for the autopilot. Thanks

After the latest update (2.25 b14) the Stream Deck could read variables but none of the events worked. I had already updated the settings.js file for my port but still no joy. I had to open the manifest.json for com.lorbysi.aao.sdPlugin and update the "URL": line to my custom port number also, after that everything worked fine.

I use Stream Deck and have a button (TextGauge) that listens to A:RECIP ENG FUEL TANK SELECTOR:1, Number. The return values are 0 (Closed), 2 (Left), 3(Right). The button displays "0", "2", or "3". I would like the button to display "Closed", "Left", or "Right". I presume I need to assign each of those strings to a L:AAO Local variable then use a 4th local variable to assign the results of an IF, ELS evaluation. Is there a more direct way to do this? Pseudo code for logic(not RPN): IF SimCode == 0, L:Result = L:Closed, ELS IF SimCode == 2, L:Result = L:Left, ELS L:Result = L:Right

I have the Lorby plug-in installed, the I have the various buttons available to use in profiles but none of the buttons are communicating with AAO, none of the read variables are displaying any values. How can I tell if there is communication between Stream Deck and AAO?

hello I notice that if you use the long clic/ short clic feature you can't use the toogle function I use it in MFS2020 with the NXI. I want to use it for the COM: short click =switch COM and long clic to go to COM 2. I want to do it only if I toggle the space bar: unfortunalty it does not take the toggle in count. The short click will always work ! and no light illuminated when I use it Is it normal ?

Hi, I am brand new to MSFS and AAO, and flight sim in general. I'd like to get AAO for MSFS 2020 because I like the idea of AAO automatically switching control profiles for planes, and it seems like it will interface nicely with my Stream Deck XL. My question is: Do I need to unbind all controls and have blank profiles in MSFS 2020, and let AAO handle all control bindings, or can I have a mix of both MSFS 2020 and AAO bindings? What is the preferred method? I have the Honeycomb Alpha/Bravo controls if that matters, so I'm not sure if there are already prebuilt profiles/templates for these controls. I'm currently playing around with some of my Midi-Devices to use them as Controllers in MSFS using Axis and Ohs. I understand how to map Midi Buttons and Encoders (essentially also repeatedly pressed buttons) to Flightsim Events in your program, but I don't get how to map Midi Events to Axis like Throttle, Mixture etc. Lets say I want to assign a Hardware Midi-Volume-Fader to the Throttle Axis of my Plane. I'm using a Korg nanoKontrol Studio Device. In the assignment Dialogue I select "Throttle 1" from the "Select simulator axis" Dropdown. I then simply move the Fader on my Device and the nanoKontrol shows up in the "Device" Field, as well as an Entry "CHN:0 EVT: XXX" in …

Hello @ll, the FBW A320 CDU variant, that is part of the AAO web pages, has been split in three different packages to cover all three variants of the FBW aircraft (experimental, development, stable). Please make sure to only use the Community package that belongs to the version of the FBW that you are flying, otherwise there can be issues with the CDU in the plane itself. Should that happen, please remove the zzz... Community package again and notify us of the problem. These are just freeware examples, and there's always the possibility of bugs or incompatibilities.

If I click on a box in AAO it does the action it is supposed to but it does not leave a check mark in the box. This is especially troubling in Tools | Win 8/10 Enhanced Power Management. If I check on an EMP box it does not leave any checkmark in the box. So I have no clue if EPM is on or off. It is the same issue for all check boxes in AAO. In the Assigned Axis if I click on Reversed box, it reverses or it unreverses the axis exactly like it is supposed to do. But it does not leave a checkmark to show which state it is in. Everfy checkbox in AAO , same issue.

Questions... Is the file name for the demo version the same as the purchased version? I had to delete an older version and may have unwittingly deleted my PAID version not KNOWING it was the paid version. Now the only thing that will install is the demo version. It's not clear (that I can find) what needs to be done to install the paid (non-broken) version. Do I uninstall the demo using Windows, or simply install over the demo version. Please point me to an answer. This would certainly inform me why all my gauges just stop. I tried to get the gear working with several functions, including GEAR_TOGGLE, GEAR_SET (1 or 0) and setting those values in scripts, nothing seems to be working. A binding directly in the sim to toggle gear works, but I want to use Voice Recognition for it, thus AAO. Any ideas? Further, is there a way to debug Voice Recognition in AAO and see what it recognizes if anything, and if the corresponding button function is executed?

Hello @ll, an important update to the web FMCs/CDUs has been uploaded to the AxisAndOhs website. It is no longer necessary to manually alter Javascript files. Instead you can just drop mod packages into your community folder.

Q1 - In the update readme it says "REMEMBER TO ACTIVATE YOUR BVAR MAPPINGS AGAIN". Since I am using templates from others, and I am newbie, do you have step by step instruction on how to do this? I am using MSFS and latest AAO version. Q2- On MSFS forums I read that you have developed possibility to run MCDU/FMC for WT CJ4 on remote device, for example iPad. Similar to what FBW has done with their MCDU. Do you have step-by-step instruction for this and where I can send my proof of purchase? Thank you in advance.
