Can you confirm that Windows 7 64bit with the FSX box version and SP2 or ACC updates does play the Falcon 50 customs sounds like click sounds and the APU sound. There is a customer that can't get sounds to play and we have done many tests. He always gets the sim to ask if he wants to allow the DLL to be used. This means the DLL is found and active. He also has confirmed he has windows sound on so he can hear the sounds since they play from the windows system and not the sim sound system. Please confirm....

Hi Folks, I use Chaseplane and jack my position in the cockpit a little higher over the glare shield - I'm tall... When the attitude of the aircraft is level - it seems the view out the front appears to be too steep of a decent to correlate properly... What's the parameter to play with this angle - the view as it relates to the model - the one in the aircraft.cfg or panel.cfg ? I want the default reference view to be looking a little more straight out the front - more aligned with the horizon in level flight... Thanks... Regards, Scott

Hi all: Has anyone else noticed a slight pitch up when capturing the glide slope from below? It is not a large pitch up but definitely noticeable. Also seems to happen on RNAV approaches. It results in an overshoot on the capture as the following pitch down is more than really required. Just me? Thanks Rick

I noted that the upper right toggle switch that should advance the displayed time (hours) by one hour with each press of the switch, appears to be advancing in 2-hour increments. I know that in the sim, the clock automatically syncs to the local sim time zone. The actual Davtron M811B has no connection to an external time source - it keeps the set time when the aircraft is unpowered using an internal backup battery. In the actual aircraft, the pilot can choose to set the clock to any time zone desired by toggling the hour advance switch. Our Falcon 900EX aircraft have the same model clock, and our SOP is to keep them set to GMT. Would it be possible to have an o…

Hi Folks, Just curious - I found these Falcon images and I know this is a different AI (older ?) - than the one modeled in our Falcon - but this one definitely has an AP mode indicator within the pilots field of view... The only way we can see the AP mode in the model is to look down at the center console - to me this seems to be pretty unique - is there any AP mode indicator that should have been included - that may have been overlooked - in the area where the pilot's attention is always directed - especially in IMC ??? Regards, Scott

When I initially load the Falcon, the engines are running, and all systems are powered. If I bring up the SHIFT-3 loading config menu in this state, and change the fuel load, passenger loading or baggage, the aircraft gross weight changes in step. However, if I then choose the "all systems off" option from the Shift-1 menu, then re-power the aircraft using the APU, the loading config menu no longer changes gross weight with fuel changes. Whether I select full, medium or light fuel loads, the gross weight on the config screen does not change at all. The gross weight does change when adding or deleting passengers or luggage, but it appears the fuel loading loses connec…

The original setting of 24 percent for ground idle was probably too low for taxi at higher weights without constant thrust adjustments, though when light, even 24 percent was not bad once the aircraft was moving. But, perhaps the new value of 31 percent is a little high. Even at a gross weight of 36,000 pounds, I found that I had to ride the brakes constantly to keep from accelerating in taxi at idle. (This in P3D 4.3). Maybe 27-28 percent might be a better compromise target? During takeoff and climb though, I think the new N1 values are much, much better. Previously, especially when light, the acceleration and rate of climb were excessive. Now, the cl…

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my thoughts during a flight from Tahoe TVL to Teterboro TEB. Sim is P3D V4.4. Addons: PFPX (custom aircraft profile) RXP GTN 750 (two units) (is there a way to interconnect them?) ASP4 (ASCA Global Automatic) To plan this flight, I used PFPX wih a custom made Falcon 50 profile. I've done this with the help of some Performance Manual Supplement I found around for the -4 engines (for reference, ours is the -3 model). This manual enabled me to compile a PFPX profile using different climb and cruise settings, so flexibility was the name of the game. You want to cross the pond? LRC or M.75 would be wise choices, or t…

Hi- I have 4.6 installed. Got some new odd behavior. The Falcon will creep and speed up at idle unless I brake it or set the parking brake. Also, has the aircraft lost power in this latest release? Just tried a short flight, KSAN>KSFO and the Falcon used the entire runway and struggled with 1000fpm with 7700lbs (BTW, fuel manager, (Shift+3) will no longer load a lite fuel load, stays at full regardless of selection) @77%N1. Any comments here? BTW, I also calibrated my HOTAS Warthog throttle so I don't think the controller is affecting this but ya never know :>) Thanks, Mark

From manual 1.4 above it is very simple, with this setup we should check the wing fuel quantity and when empty, the feeder tanks quantity. If I am not wrong with this setup above, the wing tanks do not seems feed their respective feeder tanks. Did you notice something wrong there? Pascal

Hi Folks, P3Dv4.3 Actually had time to fly an approach last night - my first with this aircraft - actually... Sunday morning's update on the Falcon - the RNAV LPV for 24 into KACK with the RXP GTN 750... Wow - it was a completely unstable roller coaster ride once I intercepted the GS... About 160 KIAS before the GS - 2nd notch of flaps - gear down - when GS became active dropped flaps 3 - 140 KIAS - lol - forget about it - the oscillations seemed self perpetuating and became massive in magnitude - to the point of being fatal... I didn't have more time for testing... Oh - the taxi light bloom can be left on with the gear up - looks silly... Yeah - I know - …

Howdy: I'm very interested in this airplane. Can some please do a full flight tutorial video please? Also, does the A/C have pause @ TOD? And, are there different panel states? As a Dad, the last two features are invaluable. Thank you!

In the “continuing improvements” category, it would be nice if the airspeed index can be made to rotate to the top of the airspeed scale. Currently it stops at 250 knots. If that can be done without major re-coding of the instrument. I see that the index on the Lear 35 airspeed indicator does work correctly in this regard. I verified that the airspeed index on the actual F50 does go all the way to the top. I like to use the associated fast/slow needle on the ADI to monitor the speed trend in climb, which I typically do at 290 KIAS above 10,000 feet. At a Mach 0.78-0.80 cruise at or above FL 390 the corresponding IAS is just below 250 knots, so it can …

Hi Mark, RE: P3Dv4 I've been looking at the VC textures fairly closely in P3Dv4... Someone sent me an image of their VC in FSX (see below) - and it seems to look far better than what I'm seeing in P3Dv4... If you note - the rotary knob and push buttons in FSX seems to have specular shine and there is actually shading on the side of the twist knobs - these effects are most definitely not present in my P3Dv4 setup... Even upon the closest of inspections - I can't detect the shine or edges... In the image below - all the faces of shapes not directly facing the light are darker - I'm missing that in P3D... IIRC - I don't think I've noticed shadow…

Falcon 50 Beta 4.6 is available. 1. Taxi and landing lights updated. Brighter landing lights and less brightness when both taxi and landing lights are on at the same time. 2. N575TV paint was fixed. 3. Copilot CDI Nav2 was fixed. 4. Huge overhaul on the interior textures with more shading. Reflection added to the wood walls. 5. Added screws to the breaker panel. 6. Updated the pilot side wall with more detail shape.

I just wanted to know if there is a way to create a hiden ckickspot somewhere in the ADI to open the GTN 750 2d popup, like the AP ckickspot in the HSI. Thanks Jean Pierre

Anybody else still flying a 32 bit sim and experiencing OOM. I remember when the Lear first came out there was an issue with OOM and I believe Mark found something about the lighting system was using a lot of VAS. Just wondering if there might be a similar issue here, of course with 64 bit it wouldn't matter but I won't be able to update to 64 bit for a few more months with my new rig. Great plane really enjoy flying her but I do get frequent OOM's with "normal" setting on most my sliders. Cheers Martin

Hi, At least I think it is not normal to have the sound of the flaps/slats moving when I move the flaps handle on C&D. I did not do it on purpose but a bit surprising to hear that's sound with everything off 🤔 Pascal B4.6/ P3Dv3
