Hi all: I just flew an approach into MVY (FSX). Beautiful night but nasty crosswind 10 gust 19 out of 304, landing ILS 24. All was great until I kicked off the AP at 500 ft to make the landing. So as the nose points right I have my left foot through the bulkhead trying to get the rudder in. Landed ok but not pretty. Then it occurred to me that the yaw damper was still in. Apparently it does not kick out when the AP does, although it goes in when the AP is turned on. And with my FSX the rudder is tied to the yaw damper.Need a button for this. Tough to find that switch in the dark. This is a wonderful airplane. Pretty to look at and great to fly. Great range. I am…

BETA 3.9 IS AVAILABLE FOR THE FALCON 50 BETA 3.9 UPDATES: 1. Fixed the copilot GSI flag. 2. Update the autopilot glideslope and navigation hold. We also increased the elevator trim range so the capture of ALTHLD or a selected altitude is very smooth and no oscillating. You will see a vast improvement in this update! 3. IAS and MACH autopilot modes will hold with smooth pitch adjustments and no oscillating.

P3D 4.3 Win 10... I purchased and installed the RXP GTN750 the same day that Beta 3.4 came out, and it appears to be interfering with the custom sounds in the Falcon. When the GTN is installed in the aircraft I cannot hear the APU, switch clicks or trim clacker. When I remove the GTN, the custom sounds start working. I did not have this problem with the previous F1 GTN, but I would much prefer to use the RXP unit. The GTN’s own custom sounds do work when it is installed. Curious if anyone else is having this issue? Engine sounds are fine with or without the GTN.

Hi, I recently did a flight with the beta 3.4 model. One issue that I've consistently observed with the Falcon is that it tends to drift a bit above and below the desired altitude when the autopilot is on. During turns, and when the aircraft rolls out of turns, the issue seems particularly acute. Once the plane drifted down about 60 feet, and then drifted up to nearly 100 feet above the altitude set in the autopilot. On my latest flight I had selected 17,000 for a cruise altitude, and the aircraft did not remain at that altitude, but drifted between 16,970 feet and 17,030 feet through the entire albeit brief flight. Otherwise t…

I know Mark mentioned the Falcon 50 is compatible with all versions of P3D but with the change in file structure in P3D 2.5 will it install okay in P3D 2.4 or should I select FSX and just install into the P3D root directory? File structure in 2.4 and FSX are similar. With some vendors planes I've had to install using both a P3D install and then do a FSX install over the first install to get the plane to show up and work correctly. By chance does any body have her running in P3D 2.4? Thanks Martin

Thank you very much for re-working the standby pump logic. It is now working exactly in accordance with the real aircraft, powering only system 2, and not producing full pressure when running. However, a bug seems to have crept in with this change. When I initially loaded Beta 3.6, in the default engines running state, I fired up the APU and shutdown all three engines. As the engines spooled down (with the standby pump "off"). system 2 pressure slowly dropped to zero, but the system 1 pressure gauge was still showing 3000 psi, even after all three engines were fully spooled down. The system 1 pressure light did come on, but the gauge was stuck. I did a restart o…

Having a problem when flying towards a VOR, arriving at the VOR the airplane starts to oscillate from side to side, starts about 1.5 miles from the VOR then carrys on until about 10 miles past. the go to/ from arrow works as normal. No flight plan, take off from Runway 26 KCLM and fly towards VOR TOU 112.20. at 10000' … AP on with nav and Alt hold window 10 (1809) Prepar3d v4.3 …. Falco f50 ver 3.4 edit ..re-edit the heading

I just installed Beta 3.4. I haven't had time to do any in-flight testing yet. One curious thing I noted: When opening the aircraft selection screen in P3D4.3, the rotating image of the Falcon is now positioned near the top of the preview window, instead of in the center as usual. It seems to load and initialize with no problems however. Jim Barrett

Hi Folks, Re: P3Dv4 Possible bug in the emergency lighting switch - when moved - turns the overhead lighting on - but - won’t turn it back off again... Once the lights are on - moving to either of the two other positions has no effect... Regards, Scott

Hello, When I set the altitude to, say 5000ft, and I get the warning and the aircraft levels off correctly at 5000ft. Then I want to go higher, so I'll set the altitude, say to 10,000ft, push ALTSEL, then use VS to climb, but with everything set correctly to climb, I get an altitude warning right away when I start climbing and have to cancel the warning. Is this the way it is supposed to be? Thank you, Bob

Yesterday I did a flight with V3.4. I noticed that the barber pole did not indicate M.86 as it should(I was at FL370) but M.84. Overall, that's already a very nice plane and after these small tweakings a must have! Cheers

Hi Folks, Re: P3Dv4 I'm having a bunch of issues with the management tool with multiple GPS units being overlaid on top of one another - sometimes even after I have it set properly - a reload of the aircraft mangles it again... I've only been switching single unit installs - looks like a GTN650 pops in there underneath even though I have NEVER selected that option... Been sticking with the F1 and RXP 750's... I own both... Regards, Scott

The gross weight counter below the landing gear handle is no longer decreasing in flight as fuel is burned. This was working previously in Beta 3.3 The Total Fuel Used counter is working correctly.

This is a very minor glitch. I often see the hydraulic standby pump light come on while in cruise for no apparent reason. The system pressure on the number 2 side is right at 3000 psi when it happens. In accordance with standard procedure, I put the standby pump switch to “auto” after all three engines are started, so that the electric pump will kick on to assist the mechanical pump on the number 3 engine if needed. (Or to take over completely in case of an engine 3 failure). On the ground, the standby pump might come on briefly after engine start if the number 3 engine is the only one running, and you put a heavy load on the number 2 system - perhaps by e…

Hi All: This is FSX. Should have included that bit of information initially. I am consistently seeing an artifact at altitude projecting out of the cockpit out to infinity straight ahead. It seems black in color. I have a screen grab but have no way to post it on this forum. I have consistently seen this through several Beta releases. Also I seem to be flying around in company with the front wheel chocks. They follow me everywhere. Related to this there seems to be a connection between the light switches, specifically taxi, and the ground services. If I switch the taxi light on at altitude, like magic the chocks and engine covers appear. Lastly, I can'…

I don’t know if this bug has always been present in the Falcon. I just spotted it tonight while flying Beta 3.4 in P3D 4.3 I noticed that when an ILS is tuned on either NAV 1 or NAV 2, the associated RMI needle turns to point at the physical location of the localizer transmitter. This is impossible, because a localizer signal (unlike a VOR) contains no phase modulation which would permit the RMI to resolve a bearing to it. An RMI needle will usually rotate to its normal “no signal” position (typically 90 degrees) when a localizer is tuned. If others are not seeing this, then perhaps it is related to the installation of the RXP GTN750, which I just purchased…

Hi Folks, Just curious on the STOL like performance on this aircraft - with flaps and brakes out - we seem capable of flying some insanely steep approaches for a jet... I remember someone stating it had excellent performance during the development process - is this what they were talking about ? Regards, Scott

Hi I see the blue spoiler lever has two detents, the first being an airbrake(?) and the second being full spoilers. Is it possible to separate the deployment of each with a keyboard or axis assignment? Thanks, Mark

This is a superb biz jet - I've just flown KLAS to KLAX on Pilotedge and had time to have a good look around. The systems work great and the textures are pretty good (no disrespect, but far better than the Learjet on launch). I am however struggling with getting started in P3DV4 with numerous CTD's on start up and if I try to change aircraft. I flew a great flight earlier today having installed Beta3.0. Then closed P3D. Restarted 6 hours later and got CTD's on startup even though Falcon not default flight. Eventually got sorted by starting up scenario with another aircraft then switching. I have a system that can load P3D in 20 secs without traffic so …

Hi I was reading somewhere here that a guy had an issue with throttle creep, if that's the correct description. Anyway, I think I understand that post now. It's very difficult to get the throttle so maintain a certain speed without it creeping. Is there a way to achieve a set speed (370 KIAS say) and lock it there? Thanks, Mark

While capturing the LOC, the plane did a slight overshoot, above 1nm, before it turned back on the LOC course. My approach angle was was about 40°. I also noticed that it starts the turn quite late. I noticed the plane almost instantly comes to a stop with reverse thrust. Is it really that powerful? Lastly, any way to turn of the flight director ? Really enjoying it so far, will be a very nice biz jet for P3D 👍

I have noted on all of my takeoffs, the the Engine 2 Fail light illuminates when advancing the power levers, then goes out. It should not do that. The logic of the Engine 2 Fail light is that with weight on wheels, when the number 2 power lever is advanced beyond 82 degrees above the idle stop, a 15 second timer starts. If the engine does not reach at least 85 percent N1 in that time, then the light will illuminate. Pilots test this during preflight before engine start by advancing the number two power lever to full, and insuring that the light illuminates within 15 seconds. The reason for that system is that an engine 2 failure during the takeoff roll may …
