  1. Hi Folks, Re: Suggestion As Al is a well aware - LOL - my take - the less I have to jump to a mouse and clicking - the better - WAY better... I have a programmable keyboard and multiple game controllers - so no shortage of hardware... One of the most obvious places I’d like to see more button control is the start sequence - as it is now I have to jump from three different ChasePlane views during the critical sequence - from the time I hit the start button - Upper Panel - Engine Gauges - and Throttle Quadrant... In addition - I think most of us don’t have three throttle hardware - persoanlly I use a single throttle... If there are spare keys you ca…

When doing an ILS approach from the right hand side, and having transfer the Navigation to the copilot, the ILS goes as it should. The only thing is that the glide slope on the copilot HSI is still sourced from NAV1 whereas on the copilot HDI it is from NAV2. Not a big issue I put the ILS freq on both NAV1 and NAV2 and that's set but just for information as I do not know if it is right Pascal

  4. I've been flight testing the many Falcon Beta releases in P3D 4.3. I'm now on Beta 4.5 and have a new problem appeared with the F1 GTN 750: The GPS now doesn't drive the HSI course line - it stays stuck on the direction when loaded. The GTN 750 functions as normal apart from this - as does the HSI - ILS deflection bar and G/P sidebar included. I can manually turn the course line with the knob on the pedestal, but not with the knob on the strip window pop-up (a different problem?). Anyone else with this in Beta 4.5? I'm not sure if this arrived with the 4.5 version or the one before. If it's just me I'll try stripping it all out and re-installing, again...

Another user had posted that he was having a problem doing a coupled ILS approach from the copilot side using the autopilot transfer switch set to the right side. I haven't tried that specifically, but I have found that there is an issue with the CDI in the copilot's HSI, being affected by the Nav 1 receiver. I positioned the aircraft at San Francisco, KSFO on taxiway "C" exactly midway between the thresholds of runways 28L and 28R, aligned with the runway heading of 284 degrees. I set both pilot and copilot HSI course selectors to 284 degrees. I tuned the number 1 NAV to the 28L ILS I-SFO, frequency 109.55 I tuned the number 2 NAV to the 28R ILS, I-GW…

Hi Folks, Good thing it was a foggy, rainy, and chilly day here in the NE USA... Finished the paint and uploaded to the File Library - probably show up Monday morning sometime... My thanks to Steve and Marius for their valuable input - made for a better paint... Now let me get back to actually flying this thing... The Money Shot Regards, Scott

Hi Jim (or anyone else), Just curious - would you happen to have access to a Falcon 50 ? Looking for some hi-res images - without the interior lights on - if it's bright enough... Most of the images online have the panel lit for dramatic effect... Especially interested in a head on shot of the overhead panel - again - most of the online images clip most of the panel from the shot... Regards, Scott

  9. Hi I’ve experienced this twice now. I don’t know if I hit the wrong button but all 3 engines failed simultaneously (again). Switched each engine to air start and got them all going again quickly. Any suggestions please? Could low fuel in one tank do this? What do I look for? Thanks. Dean P3DV4.3

Hi all, Just wanted to point out a few things about the red HSI bearing pointer in the Falcon 50 since the aircraft manual lags updates somewhat. If in GPS mode, and you have a GPS flight plan or waypoint set up, the diamond end of the bearing pointer should point to the next GPS waypoint. In GPS mode the new ADF/VOR switch (see the FSW Thread F50 New Feature below) has no function. If in VLOC and you have a valid VOR signal in NAV1, and the ADF/VOR switch is down (VOR position) the diamond end of the bearing pointer should point to the VOR station. If in VLOC and you have a valid ADF signal in ADF1, and the ADF/VOR switch is up (ADF position) the T en…

I just made a short flight to test the LPV approach fix. Using the RXP GTN750, LPV glideslope capture and descent was very stable - no tendency to oscillate in pitch as before. I goofed initially, and forgot arm APPR on the autopilot, so the aircraft flew through the descent point. I used the new TCS function to pitch down a bit to re-capture the LPV glideslope, then enabled APPR, and the aircraft descended just fine from there on in. It seemed as stable as the corresponding ILS approach to the same runway. But, the most substantial improvement by far (IMO), was the reduction in the drag parameter for slats. I initially deployed them in level flight while maintaining…

Hi Folks, Minor texture map issue - the chunk of fuselage with the most forward passenger window - has two very small antennas on top of it - one is mapped to a white texture - the other is mapped to the fuselage color - I would assume both should go to the white texture... Regards, Scott

Hi Folks, Just playing around with the panel and all it's options... The "Xfer Pumps" I didn't see mentioned in the procedures... These - I assume are to move fuel between the tanks... It seems like the "OFF" position is - up - with the light extinguished - the "Cold and Dark" setting via the control panel sets them all to - down - light energized - I think they should probably be set the other way - initially ? I believe the labeling on the upper panel may be incorrect - instead of "XFR Intercom" - - - it should read "XFR Intercon" ? A little info on the generators ? Why does the procedure for both APU start and ENGINE start specify the generators ar…

Hey guys, had a quick question about settings in P3Dv4. I have dynamic lighting turned on and all sliders are roughly set about mid way in terms of scenery/lighting. I noticed on the Falcon landing lights at night, there's a series of lines dividing the beam along the fuselage as opposed to a steady beam.. Is there a light setting that could be causing this or is this within the flysimware falcon itself? none of my other aircraft do it but i figured maybe it could be something different with the textures on the falcon? either way, any ideas would be appreciated, thanks again! ~John

  15. I did an ILS approach to runway 24 at KELM this morning, my first flight since updating to version 4.2 of the Falcon. I am still on P3D version 4.3 I have a single instance of the RXP GTN-750 I was established on the localizer, in APP mode, level at 3,200 feet, waiting to intercept the glideslope at the IAF, (ALP NDB). The autopilot mode indicators were showing localizer captured, and glideslope armed. The glideslope flag on the ADI was out of view, and the needle was deflected fully up as would be expected. As I approached ALP, I would normally expect to see the glideslope needle begin moving down toward center, but that did not happen. It remained d…

The falcon 50 has 3 flap positions, first being slats and 7 or slats deployed and 7 degrees of flaps. This is not accurate at this time, as the sim only has slats as first position. The other positions are correct.

  19. Hi, I'm pulling what's left of my hair out trying to find this. There is a post on your FB page saying it is ready a while back but I can not find the actual tool anywhere, on my pc or online. I got the WX Radar today and want to change to a GTN750 x 1 panel so there is room for it insted of the dual GTN I have used so far. I have modded the original install and plane is working great I do NOT want to run the install program all over again and wipe over all my changes. Surely there must be a way to change panels without re-installing the aircraft? If I have to ruin my mod setup I will just throw the WX in the trash, the Lear is the only ac I have with built in p…

  20. Hi Folks, I don't think there are any sounds associated with the air brakes - I would assume you probably would hear increased wind noise when deployed - maybe a little sound from the switch in the cockpit ? Some type of aural feedback would be welcome instead of having to look down at the indicator... Thanks - just for consideration... Regards, Scott

Falcon 50 Beta 4.0 will have a new TCS feature. Pressing and holding the TCS on the pilot or copilot yoke momentarily disables the AP VS mode and allows you to pitch the aircraft to a new angle then when you release the VS mode re enables and the vertical speed hold updates to the new VSI climb rate. We also included a new custom key. The new key can only work like a toggle switch unlike the buttons on the yokes. Once happy with the new pitch just click the key again to disable the TCS. I included a label that shows when TCS is on as seen in the image below. AP off or VS mode off disables the TCS in case you do leave TCS on when using the key toggle.

After the last update the panels for the 750s are in the console but will not function. I reloaded using the installer for the gps. In the control panel for the a/c everything works fine, popups, functions. I can't find a way to get the panels in the cockpit to work. Everything worked fine before.
