Hi- Just bought the 50. I've selected the single 750 from the list (which is odd as all choices are selected by default), restart the sim and nothing. Shift+7 brings it up however. Any ideas? Thanks, Mark

Just curious if anyone else has had issues with the GTN 750 (not just in the falcon..but has done this in the Lear as well) freezing somewhere mid point in a flight..say maybe a 3 hour hop..ill have to kick off the avionics master and "reboot" the gtn? I've got it set to use all cpu cores..its smooth when its running but every now and then it just freezes. Havent had it happen yet with any other aircraft aside from the Lear and now the Falcon.

I've been working on a new livery for my copy of the fabulous Flysimware Falcon 50. After some trial and error I've managed to navigate the process of using GiMP to produce a DDS texture for the fuselage, and I'm very happy with the result. However, I'm still unable to figure out the bitmap file for the tail number. I've tinkered with the pixel size, tried cropping it, and have looked over the image properties of the file closely, but after numerous attempts I keep getting only a black rectangle in the cockpit. Hi Folks, If needed Avialogs has a full Falcon 50 AFM available on line... You can read online all you want for free - but if you want to download the full PDF you have to join - I've been tempted as they have manuals on a couple of aircraft I really enjoy flying such as the Carenado PC-12... Hi Folks, Just an FYI - I'm probably as big a fan of TSS sound packs as I am of Flysimware aircraft - so when Mark posted the parties couldn't reach an agreement during development - I queried Christopher (TSS) - he did state that there is indeed a TSS Falcon 50 sound pack in the works that will be available for a separate purchase for those so inclined... Hi Folks, The Bleed Air system is a bit new to me - I don't think we had anything on the Lear like it... Do you leave the Bleed Air in "auto" at all times ? On some regionals I've messed with - I think it needed to be switched "OFF" for engine starts ? When would you use the APU Bleed Air switch ? I don't have the checklists available at the moment - maybe it's addressed there... Thanks... Regards, Scott

Hi all: I have been working with the Falcon, downloaded Version 3.1 today, and flew KPBI-KBOS. All went well and I must comment on some great things about the Falcon from an FSX pilot perspective: 1. Great frame rates 2. Minimal VAS hit 3. A beautiful aircraft, inside and out. I am looking forward to many hours in the air with this aircraft, as I did and continue to do with the Lear 35. The Falcon fills a hole I needed for a longer range bizjet. One question I have in 3.1 is something I noticed with the TCAS. There is a disparity between the outer Mach scale on the pilot’s airspeed indicator vs. the copilot’s indicator. I am currently in level flight at FL390, showing a TAS of 433 knots with a TAT temperature of -33C. This is verified on the DALT/TAS/Winds page of the GTN 750 TAS of 433 knots at TAT of -33C equates to Mach 0.753, and that is exactly the Mach speed shown on the copilot airspeed indicator. The pilot indicator shows Mach 0.80. The indicated airspeed is exactly the same on both instruments, it is only the Mach scale which is different, with the copilot airspeed indicator being the correct one. Jim Barrett

I just installed Beta 3.0, and this aircraft just keeps getting better and better. Thanks for adding the real-time update to the gross weight counter! In general, the autopilot is working very well when selecting various mode buttons in the current beta. Heading Select works smoothly, and the aircraft rolls out on the selected heading precisely. 1/2 Bank mode works as advertised Vertical Speed likewise operates smoothly and precisely in both climbs and descents. Hi Folks, Re: P3Dv4 OK - figured out how to run the APU - then start engines 2 and 3... For some reason the "Air - Ground - Motor - Selector" for engine 1 seems spring loaded and stuck in "air" - it depresses to other positions but springs back when released... Pressing the start button on the respective engine does nothing - I'm assuming because the selector is in "air"... Thanks... Regards, Scott

The rotating index on the airspeed indicator (that activates the fast/slow needle on the PFD) appears to stop at 250 knots. I’m pretty sure it will rotate all the way to the top of the airspeed scale on the actual instrument. Currently, the fast/slow needle works very nicely below 10,000 feet where the aircraft is limited to flying no faster than 250 knots, but at Mach 0.80 cruise at higher altitudes, the IAS will normally be higher than 250.

I've read the manual and followed the instructions, but I can't get this started at all. I cutoff my throttles, turn on the batteries and Gen switches, turn on the CMP switches select "Ready To Start" and hold down the red button for 2 seconds.........nothing....but.....silence. Can someone help me with this? Thank you, Bob

Hi Folks, Re: P3Dv4 If you select "All Systems Off" via the onscreen Falcon menu - the N2 gauges subsequently cease to work... This affects both startup and after engine is running... Regards, Scott

I appreciate having the heading and course select knobs available as a 2D popup. Would it be possible to add the vertical speed thumbwheel to that popup as well? It would make it easier to adjust V/S mode without having to look down at the center console. Jim Barrett

I assigned speedbrake extend/retract and TR deploy to some unused buttons on my CH throttle quadrant per the manual, and they work fine inside of the VC. But, if I am viewing the aircraft externally in spot view, the buttons have no effect. If I raise the speedbrakes and deploy the TR while in the cockpit and then go to spot view, they are visibly deployed. Aileron, rudder and elevator animations work correctly when actuating the flight controls while in spot view.
