EMB505 Phenom 300 HD Series for FSX | P3D

I have the Carenado Phenom 100. I'm giving serious thought to getting the 300, but wanted to know if someone could identify the differences between the two models. Specifically, what does the 300 have that the 100 lacks? The 300 appears to be just a bigger version of the 100 with a few additional Carenado enhancements, but its hard to tell from just looking at the screenshots or reading all the forum comments. Hi all, I cant input into fms. using 1.1 or 1.2. I have tried using 2d panels too. I have tried the knobs and keyboard nothing works. I have updated to the latest navigraph. only the I notice is ithe G1000 start up says my charts are out of date. Any suggestions?

Could use some feed back with an issue with entering a flight plan using the G1000. I have the GTN 750 installed and working fine but I thought that I would, just for the fun of it, try to load a flight plan using the original G1000. I have Navigraph extension 1.2 installed. windows 7. Following the instructions in the manual, plus experimenting with different methods, I am only able to select the "Select Approach" option in the Procedures page(window). All other PROC options are grayed out. No matter what I try I can not get the options to be selectable. I perhaps should mention that I was omitting any checklists.... just doing a cold/dark startup ...openin…

Hello I have the GTN 750 Mod installed ... with help from Bert. It works fine. Can one still use the G1000 MFD for going through the various checklists and for looking at the different systems displays and then open the GTN 750 for the navigation process and flight plan installation or does switching between the too ( GTN 750...G1000 ) cause problems? Pretty slow around the 300 forum lately ,any one working on items to make it fly better lately ? ?At cruise for some reason I"m getting a ding and don't know what the heck it is sounds like a seat belt sound . Apparently there is no calculator around to give us fuel us fuel use age , some are using the one for the Mustang which is pretty close they say . Since I have good 'ol Bert's mod for the 750 in the 300 I fly it a lot , but want to expand on using the fuel burn section . Is any one using it and what are you plugging in for numbers?

Every time I try to input my airport on the proc,arrow, flpn it allow me. It just says "0" and won't let me input anything so I can't really fly. How can I fix this?

Hi all Please help: I bought the Carenado Phenom 300 and I was wondering if there was a way to manually change the fuel/PAX in the aircraft, like you do through the FMC in PMDG's aircraft for example? Thanks

I just purchased the A2A Shockwave lights for FSX and was wondering if anyone has installed them into this aircraft? I have not yet tried to install these lights myself. If anyone has, could you please share your installation specs for both a\c cfg. and panel cfg. files? Thanks, Raymie

Apologies if I am missing something obvious, but I am trying to get to grips with the G1000. I have watched video tutorials and searched this forum but can't get the answer. I am unable to get the moving map with topo features to display; I have a permanent blue screen with airport, VOR etc features. Clicking on topo and terrain makes no difference, and cycling the different map pages doesn't help The map shows on the waypoint page but overlapped by engine information and a data input box on the right. There's probably a simple answer but this relative novice can't figure it!

I have lots of experience with the PMDG and Aerosoft FMC but I'm new to the G1000. I viewed some excellent tutorials on YouTube but still can't figure out how to: 1.) insert a waypoint into an active flightplan. Ex.. AAA BBB CCC EEE. Now I want to insert DDD between CCC and EEE. 2.) go direct to a waypoint in the flightplan and then resume the plan. Ex. AAA BBB CCC DDD EEE. I'm between AAA and BBB but I want to go direct to DDD and resume the plan. BTW I have the Navigraph addon I like it a lot. Thanks for any help... Richard

The Carendado G1000 user guide (p24) says you can load a fling planusing hte FSX Flight Planner. I don't see an option for that. Am I missing something. Also wondering if there is a way to save flight plans created in the G1000. Thanks... Richard

I finally bought P3D Pro (again). I'm moving very slowly this time, wanting to keep P3D stock until the critical things work. The Phenom seems to fly ok, but the autopilot is not accepting commands from my Saitek panel, using SPAD, which works fine for every other aircraft including the Duke Turbine v2 (my only other 3rd party aircraft.) If you're using the Saitek autopilot panel, is it working in your Phenom? I haven't yet applied Berts excellent GTN mod, nor the GTN, so it's a stock install v1.3 Phenom. Any ideas are appreciated.

I had Phenom 1.3 installed in FSX. Flew fine at first, then developed a problem during taxi and TO roll, landing. With more speed, the problem became worse. Mostly a strong pitch to the right, then the yaw. Like the left or right wings were developing random lift at anything over about 20 knots. The problem mostly went away when airborne. I thought FSX was just getting too old and I have too many add-ons. Time to try P3D v3 Pro, which is excellent so far. My favorite bizjet seemed to be ok, but then started developing the same pitch/yaw problems on taxi. At first, it feels like you just ran over a small animal in the taxiway. If I do a 'direct-to' and try typing the airport code into the G1000, it locks up the sim. Regardless, I always get P3D content errors logged, mostly mentioning only four character airports are allowed. It's a long log and only happens if I use the Phenom. All other planes exit the sim cleanly and allow keyboard entry. Anyone else run into this? Thanks.

Hello Nothing important but.... ( FSX) Just wondering if the Cabin Effects Light...Bright .... dim .... Off ... work in the Phenom 3000 because I have tried numerous times to look for any changes when selecting the different settings but I see none. Can one adjust the COG or do you only use the Fuel and Cargo Planner option in FSX? How does one determine what pitch setting to use for take off ...... for different take off situations? Is there a graphical display showing the different pitches for different COG? I remember seeing one somewhere but I have tried relocating it but I cannot find it? Maybe it was in a different plane than the Phenom 300 b…

I did my first flight with the phenom 300 (v 1.3) I was ascending in FLC mode (I use VS mode to descend) and the plane would climb past my selected altitude. This forced me to hit the ALT button to level off. Is this a bug or is there a way to have the FLC mode properly level off at the selected altitude? Thanks Bob

Hi Everyone, During takeoff roll, and after touching down for a landing, my Phenom 300 leans to the right. It needs some rudder to keep it straight, and also some banking to the left to keep it level. Anyone else's do this? think my stick is calibrated fine, no other aircraft exhibit this behaviour. I had it in 2.5 as well as now in v3 thanks EGLD

I got the idea that Lufthansa would probably put this one in service for their City Center and Precious Cargo service. Regards, Ray

Hello, This is my first Carenado purchase and will most likly be my last, unless I could figure this out. Has anyone had any luck mapping the on screen mouse buttons to keyboard or joystick using FSUIPC or any thing else. Tried getting help from Carenado for buttons not responding on my screen, what they came back with is that on thier systems everything is working fine. When I right click on the same exact spot left click works for the AP/ALT knob, I get the window popup menu. No way to increase altitude on the auto pilot. And they don't offer a way to program keys for anything!

The Battery Switches shown on the "Lateral Switches" panel will not operate via a keyboard shortcut or externally assigned switch. They will only function when clicked by the mouse. The FSUIPC Console window shows multiple instances of the command sent with random parameters attached when the switch or assigned key is operated. When clicked on by the mouse it shows only the one instance. A keyboard shortcut or externally assigned switch works fine on the Phenom 100.

Nothing like having a flight sim add on that looks like a real world Phenom. Uploaded to the Avsim library earlier today. Regards, Ray

I installed the Phenom 300 V1.3 (without Navigraph ext) into P3Dv3 and the first time I flew it I had clicks, dings, fans whooshing, "five hundred", etc. Second time and thereafter I no longer get any clicks from pushing knobs, toggles or buttons, no ding when I turn on the seatbelt signs, no fan sounds. I do get altitude callouts (500, 300) and the obnoxious glidescope nag. Engine spooling, landing gear, flaps, exterior sounds all work. Problem seems limited to the interior, the autopilot and dashboard knobs and buttons. Problem persists using the GTN750 or the default G1000 MFD. GTN750 sounds all seem to work properly. I can fly hands on only tonight, relax a bit and it constantly banks to the left, but all AC tend to do that even with P-factor and torque turned off in P3D realism settings. Last night I made two flights using the AP, it would at least hold the heading and sometimes hold the altitude, had to monitor altitude after any changes with the vertical speed dial, speed with minute changes of throttle, any push of the spd or alt buttons resulted in everything going to Hades quick. Why won't the AP do anything tonight when it worked a little last night. I think I have a beautiful, manual flight mode only airplane. and long flights are a no go as I have to keep right pr…
