FS2CREW: PMDG 737 NGX REBOOT

Hi, On the (final) approach the FO is calling 'Missed Approach altitude not set.' He does this before the GS is actually captured and therefor he always will make the call. As far as I know, the MA altitude should be set at the moment the GS is captured (i.e. not when GS becomes alive). Before capturing the GS, the aircraft may still be in vertical speed descent so fiddling with the MCP altitude is not a wise idea. Also sometimes the GS is captured from above (happens a lot at EHAM) Please advice

Flying a left hand pattern from/to KPHX (flightbeam) runway 08 practising precision approaches, on the downwind leg PM announces "glideslope alive" but there is no evidence of this on the PFD i.e. no white/pink diamonds. I've performed 3 circuits and has happened each time. Let me know if more information would help. Running p3d v3 latest release. Thanks

Just getting to grips with reboot after switching over. Im using SOP2. My question is when and what lights should the PM switch on at night internally?? The reason i ask is that I've noticed the PM doesn't switch on the dome lights to start with, and also when he's switching on the panel lights he's never at any point switching on the overhead panel lights or circuit breaker lights? Is this now my job? i can't find any mention about the internal lights in the tutorial apart from that at night the PM will switch off the dome light. Im currently typing up my own flow list and would like to add in the necessary or is it a bug? Many thanks in advance for any info.

I see that you guys came out with FS2CREW Global First Officer including most regions with the exception of the Caribbean. Being from the Caribbean I feel as though we too should be able to have our own voice sets as well or even the option of customizing them by recording anyone's voices as an alternative.

Hi, I started to use the NGX Reboot voice version. I have selected SOP1 and no pre-flight events. PMDG Short turnover panel state is also selected Since FS2Crew doesn't use a timer with no pre-flight events, I can imaging all cabin calls before taxiing will not appear. But I can't contact gound, when I do I get no response or whatsoever. I want to contact ground for example to pressurize the hydraulics. Is this by design?

Could you add a voice trigger to play the various Briefs and announcements, instead of using the keypad/menu system. Something like "Play departure brief" or "play cruise brief, play descent brief" Would really add to the immersion/realism factor. Steve S

hi, recently i have a very annoying, possibly a game breaking with the NGX reboot. the FO is repeating "checked" randomly during flight and espeically during approach and landing checklist phase. This makes it highly impossibly or stressful to complete the landing checklist on time since the FO does not listen to my commands rather is focused on saying "checked" continuously. i had to hard mute it a couple of times to stop the FO, but the problem resumes in a couple of seconds or with the next command/response. (when the FO says checked i do notice the FSX message bar displaying "Flare"). Any help/tips/advice/recommendation will be highly helpful Thanks

Hi. I have a feature request. Is there any posibility of providing some kind of notification (ground crew message would be best) that they have placed the chocks to the wheels of the aircraft? In order for me to be sure that I can safely turn off the parking brake. Thanks! FS2Crew Rocks!

Hello Bryan, I have just noticed that the sequence gets blocked on rollout after having answered "landing" to the Minimum challenge. Therefore, in case of balked landing go around, there is no way to switch manually to any other step and the FO won't react to the Go around flaps 15" command either. Is there a way to change the logic so that the FO keeps responding to a go around command even after the landing/continue answer? In case of low level windshear or anything else below the minimum, the FO cannot be used for a go around which is a pity as a balked landing is one of the most demanding manoeuvre. I'm used to using the cold and dark panel state in the NGX, which works great with the default preflight procedures from FS2Crew. How would I modify the FS2crew startup procedures if I wanted to use NGX long or short?

Hi Bryan: Thanks for 2.0! I'm looking forward to trying out all of the new features. This software really does line up in the top tier of best FS addons. Awhile back, in this thread, I reported having some issues after upgrading to 1.1. Specifically, whenever I activate FS2Crew, something happens that guarantees FS will crash when attempting to end the flight (whether it's just "End flight" back to the home screen, or attempting to exit FS altogether). Thankfully, the crash is consistent and doesn't occur during flight; however, after isolating all of my addon software, I have determined that it's definitely FS2Crew that triggers the crashes. Long time user of FS2Crew and won't fly without it. Suddenly don't have any voice communication from the pushback crew and can't see them or the wing-walker. Most everything else seems fine. Using in PMDG 737NGX, FSX. Any suggestions? Jeff Even

hi running fsx se across 3 monitor with amd eyefinity mode enabled. Fresh install never had this problem before but here goes installed ngx reboot and fs2crew 777 , configured main program key yo "c" and secondary to "x" once fsx se loaded with pmdg aircraft from the drop down view instrument menu I have fs3crew main panel ticked but cannot see it in either 2d or vc mode ther samer goes for the pmdg 777 when I first in stalled the ngx reboot version and tried to bring up the panel I heard the information that an update was needed which I downloaded and installed and run out of ideas any help please …

I have followed the OP in the manual and it seems it uses the same key for hard/soft mute which seems contradictory because the manual later points it out for the 'sec' panel. Main panel works fine and so does everything else work as advertised but for the confounding Sec panel hot key combination to assign to a controller button Help appreciated. Joe

Hello: Firstly, thank you for the enhancements to the circuit logic (specifically, adding a valid response to the landing checklist challenge with regard to the speedbrake not being armed)! Hi, I was trying to practice some circuits last night but before I could even get going, at the point where I ask to "start number two" the reply I get is "starting number two" followed quickly by "starter cutout" this happens for both engines and therefore prompts him to start his after start flows. Secondly during the actual touch and go's the FO behaves on the first circuit but on the second he fails to set the trim and retract the flaps, it seems to get stuck in the takeoff roll sequence and doesn't progress to initial climb, I also don't get a rotate call on the second circuit. HI Seeing as I fly for the KLM (royal dutch virtual), as part of the SOP, they turn of the taxi lights. I was wondering wether this could be an option in an update, because now, during the entry I sometimes forget this"weirdness" in their SOP /point system and get a deduction. vkr Victor

I have just made the plunge to get back into flight sim. with a far better computer and set up.now being retired my time is almost my own.so I looked around to see what the best programs to immerse the overall feel of FX Steam. a stand out was FS2Crew. with the PMDG 737 not being a novice at FS having racked up over 7000 hrs flying time with the LDS767 both online with Vatsim and just general FX flights. Lately when I fly the NGX the FO keeps arming the spoilers, lowering the landing gear and turning off the packs on the ground and in flight. Very annoying. Any ideas why this happens?

With the merging of the NGX and the Emergney NGX into one product, are there any plans on expanding the number of voice sets available when using the emergency feature? Just wondering. -Rick

As always I end up doing my own flows. This is for a run of the mill flight using normal Boeing SOP with some SWA. Its done with American flights in mind e.g TA FL180.
