Hello Oldprop team, Looks like you people missed a one major immersion effect for PMDG (though PMDG should have added it by themselves) which is the Engine and APU shimmering effect specially in high temperatures. I know that the FSFX packages were made to use in FSX/ P3D because of new technologies but I also know that some effects may work in FS2004. There are videos on Youtube showing that it is possible to use FSFX in FS2004. I have almost all of the packages from you but anyway, I would like to know if FSFX could develop a "Lite" package of these effects for use in FS2004? Hi guys, very happy owner of PrecipitFX and 737 immersion here, I was wondering if it would be possible in the future to add an effect similar to what we see in the new Active Sky 2016; the in-cloud motion effect where you see the clouds coming into contact and being disturbed by the nose of the aircraft from the virtual cockpit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvkQSh__xx4 The effect in Active Sky is not quite perfect and looks a little odd at times, but I love the idea. I'm trying to set VFX central to open with when p3d is opened. It tells me "unexpected xml file structure. (the file wasn't modified). Everything else works fine, it's just vfx central won't open automatically when p3d is.

Hi..what would stop the uninstall button showing on my immersion packages?...the apply button is lit up, the uninstall is greyed out....also when i click apply the packages fail to apply, yet ive never altered them since being applied from launch...737, a320, 777...precipt works fine in VFX. I have installed and configured PrecipitFX, 737 & 777 immersion, but I am getting no contrail effects with any of these aircraft. Some advice much appreciated.

Hi Still have all products from you like the 737, 777, A320,... I only have a problem with performance lost with the 777 when contrails set in, most at Fl 250! Cost me minimum 4fps! Any ideas? Possible to edit the lenght of contrails for better performance like on 737? thx Max

Hello... Never before had problems with my Wing and Engine condensation in A320. Think the problem happend when changed to VFX problem- Tried all weather themes now - Still no Wing and Engine Conden. Hi, so pretty much all my effects are black with the immersion and precipitfx. The contrails the smoke the engine start pretty much everything execpt the wind condensation. Anyone one know how to get rid of this?

The new FSFX packages installer for their great programs has a big bug that can ruin your aircraft.cfg files. If you have foreign characters for some of your repaints, when the FSFX VFXCentral program runs and adds the lines needed for their effects, it spits out a corrupted aircraft.cfg file and your repaints with foreign characters will not show up properly. Just an FYI I emailed the developer with the info. I didn't keep the backup aircraft.cfg file and now I have to reinstall a dozen Norwegian 737 PMDG repaints. Oh well.

Yesterday, 2/23/16, I had issues with my PMDG T7 & QW 757, the spoilers & flaps. Could not get the flaps down, they would come back up. The spoilers would move on their own. This happened on both ac. I mainly fly the T7. When I started having issues, I tried another ac to see if it was a calibration issue. The other ac that I loaded was the QW 757. The same issue on FSX-SE as I have a dual setup. This happened after I started using VSX. I had no issues when using the old system from OLD Prop. I decided to try a restore on my C drive. My flight sims are on another drive. After the restore, I loaded up the sim, FSX boxed, and I got the warning if I wa…

HI, I'm flying mostly freeware Aircrafts so as PrecipitFX was working on all aircraft, will this new version work on Freeware as well? Thanks!

Is there a way to start the 737/777 without VFX Central or just make 1 major update for the products? Every time you have to restart FS because of a (minor) update. I understand piracy is an issue but there are other ways to prevent this. Regards, John
