Q400 Immersion Support

Hi! I have been using fsfx immersions and other addon for a long time and I really appreciate it. Today I bought immersion for Q400.( updated for P3D v4.1) However, after starting the sim and I put myself in Tromso airport(ENTC) and it was a raining weather with snow on the ground. I start the engine from cold and dark. Yet, I didn't notice and effect. Cold start smoke, Engine jet wash, Prop. vortices, Wheel spray, etc. Nothing there. My FSUIPC version is up to date. Is there anything wrong? Thanks!

Long time ago i have purchased immersion package for Q400, then moved on - MSFS and so. Now i have reinstalled whole P3D with beloved Q400, and want to download immersion package. Package is gone and //42 web page directs me to a dead place. I wrote email to //42 with question how can i download something i have paid for and want to use again. The reply i have received was basically saying that they do not support anymore that package and i have to rely on my backup. Problem is that i do not have any as i was always considering that purchased software is available - at least during purchase there was no any note that software is time limited. …

Whatever happened to q400 Immersion for p3dv5? Is it being worked on?

Hi: I have the Immersion Packages for the Q400, B777, B717 and the A320 (although the A320 is not installed in my sim yet). After I select one of the first three planes in my simulator (P3Dv4.3) the Immersion Manager (IM) inside the sim tells me with a grey screen that I should load a supported aircraft in the simulator, when in fact there's one of them loaded up in the sim, and the IM is "Disconnected". I had a first time successful installation of the Immersion Packages and never had this before. By the way, all the Immersion Packages correctly show in VFX Central. What should I do now?. I've downloaded the VFXCentral required to install the FSFX Q400 Immersion Package, but after "Downloading Updates", it starts running for about 10 seconds and then shows a "An error has occurred. (WMI)" dialogue box w/o an error code. I've tried rebooting my computer, running the installer in administrator mode, and uninstalling and re-installing VFXCentral, but nothing seems to be working. I've paid something like 30 dollars for this, so this is kind of disappointing. I've already filed a support ticket with the FSFX team, but maybe someone has answers here?

Hello, Now that the Q400 has been released for V4.1 I'm trying to install the immersion pack for this. But when installing it gives the following error: 'You need to have at least one compatible simulator installed to use this product. Please refer to your product's manual' Is this package not ready for 4.1? Or is there something wrong on my side? thx for your help!

I just bought Q400 Inmersion package and although a new reactivation requested has been provided the Q400 Inmersion in not present in my purchased packages. I have activated the license number and adding the serial number states it is already activated but it is not listed in VFX Central package manager so it's not working. Any help? JM

Hi there, new user of your Q400 Immersion product (and 737, and 777, and PrecipitFX) and it works pretty well as far as I can tell, but I do have an issue with one of the contrails effects showing up as black squares near the aircraft.. the sprites further away in the contrail stream look fine though. I am running FSX:SE with DX9, no other special add ons or tweaks. Thanks!

Just downloaded and installed Q400 immersion. I ran Steve's DX10 fixer, which converted 8 effects. I set up a new flight, night time, visibility 0500 in fog. Turned on the engines, and have no volumetric effects anywhere- everything looks like straight out of the Majestic box. I ran the installer twice, to no avail. Special effects are set to high- test to change to medium had no effect. In the Lear everything runs perfect.. Entries in the aircraft.cfg are installed, the effects are in their directory. In the lights section I added light.5 = 3, -6.50, 0.0, 2.0, fx_dx10shield as I have problems with some older airports under DX10, could this be a factor? M…

Hi I use P3D3.4 and latest Q400. After installing Effects Packages Q400 immersion i don`t have wheels effect. (no in runway and no in landscape also no snowfall or rain ). Wheels effects lost fully. What could be a reason? Other effects is visible.

Just out of interest, is there a reason why the wing lights are the only ones that do not feature volumetric light (like the logo lights for example)? One could thing that they are quite powerful too and would cast a lightbeam in fog..
