I was made an offer I couldn't refuse to do this paint, so what's a man to do? In the end I couldn't take his money. Be back with a link... Available on my MediaFire or on AVSIM soon. Thank you Jason for bringing it to my attention.

  3. Hi all, For those following my two WIP threads, both v1.0 of my overhaul mod and the N594WA repaint are now ready for release! PC12 Overhaul Mod v1.0: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz_9RuK6jIkhbFRSeDMtTC1sSzg/view?usp=sharing Changelog from Carenado PC12 SP1: Engine ITT reading adjusted based on formula to take into account altitude, temperature and torque. This is the main purpose of the mod. There is, simply, no other way to correct ITT without using a custom variable and SimConnect. ENGINE ITT gauge fixed - error in maths means the tick mark did not correspond to correct ITT value Airframe drag adjusted to better match book values (was ~2 knots too…

Would someone kindly point me in the right direction to where I could find the PC-12 checklist for the GTN 750?

  5. The night lighting for the gauge backlights on the vertical speed gauge is bright like the person painting it used a picture that had too much flash reflection. I'd like a new vsi without the bright white reflection as the gauge backlighting. Is this something that is possible?

I seem to be having a hit or miss time in starting the PC-12. I follow the checklist, engage the starter, wait till NG hits 13%, then move the condition lever to ground idle. Sometimes the engine lights off, more often it doesn’t. It feels like I’m advancing it too late. If NG is too high, is that a reason for a non-start? I am using Bert’s original panel mod with Autogyro’s additions.

  8. Hello I have the strange problem, that the mode control panel doesn't show any lights of what is engaged. Also no lights when pushing the test button. The engaged modes are displayed however on the EADI. What's going wrong? Any help would be highly appreciated! Thanks a lot. Andi (p3dv4)

I use PFPX with a PC12 aircraft template to generate flight plans and this includes a random number of pax (max 6) together with a random cargo load. The one thing I'm not sure about is the weight of the pilot and whether this is taken into account by PFPX in its template. The empty weight is 5600lbs in PFPX which matches that shown in the fuel and payload section in P3D. But where do you include the pilot's weight? Hope this doesn't seem a daft question.

Hi all-- Yesterday, I purchased the Carenado PC-12 for FSX:SE. So far I'm loving the aircraft; handles and flies like a dream. Only issue I am having is with regards to the inbuilt GPS system. I seem un-able to load a flight plan. I think there is a age missing on the flight plan section of the GPD. So, I have two questions... Firstly, is there any update I can use to rectify the flight plan issue? Secondly, should I just purchase the GTN750? When you install this software, can you only use this as a pop-up in the cockpit or does it physically replace the GPS screens so that it is integrated into the virtual cockpit? Thanks!

An Angle of Attack fix just came up on the Carenado S550 Citation forum, and my tests show that it applies to the PC12 as well. Open the Gauge_EFIS_EADIVCV4 xml file with Notepad and search for "ASI Pointer". Change: <Script>(A:SIM ON GROUND,bool) if{ 0 } els{ (A:INCIDENCE ALPHA, number) (A:STALL ALPHA, number) / 2 * }</Script> to <Script>(A:SIM ON GROUND,bool) if{ 0 } els{ (A:Angle of attack indicator, number) 1.88 - /-/ }</Script> Credit goes to Nirgal

I've been picking up tips on how better to fly this aircraft and one was to engage IAS Hold and adjust the speed on climb to around 150-180kts. Having engaged that mode and with the throttle fully forward the aircraft is not maintaining the selected speed. For example I have commanded 185kts but the IAS is only 177kts. I'd expect the aircraft to pitch up until 185kts is achieved. Is this a known 'bug' and if so is there a fix from Bert the Magician?

Pilatus toured the US on a sales drive with this aircraft. Afterwards, it was then sold to EPPS Aviation, Atlanta, Georgia. Nice touch is that the registration number is also the serial number. Screenshots courtesy of Jim Baumann On my MediaFire now or on AVSIM soon.

More than any of my other planes, I seem to have to drive this PC12 right down to the runway and can't flare and I always end up with either the front wheel hitting first or all 3 together. If I pull back on the yoke then it floats way down the runway and the speed drops very low and I'm afraid it will plop down hard if I do that. In the 1900D, for example, I flare that thing perfect every time. The front just naturally comes up and the main wheels touch so nicely. Same most of the time with the Caravan, and my Twotter. But this plane is just not handling like those and I can't get a nice flare to save my life. I'm looking for some things to try. Is it as s…

I need someone to refresh my memory. At sometime in the past year, I believe Bert came up with a fix to make the Cabin Teperature Display actually appear to function, at least when the cabin temp knob was incresed or decresed. I am running Berr's panel mod so I should have it. Looking in his GAUGEPC12 folder (as installed) I found the file Gauge_AIR_TEMPV4.xml. It contained: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <SimBase.Document Type="AceXML" version="1,0" id="Gauge_AIR_TEMP"> <Descr>AceXML Document</Descr> <Filename>Gauge_AIR_TEMP.xml</Filename> <SimGauge.Gauge id="Gauge_AI…

Hi Bert, One thing I noticed on v57 - not a biggie - the red warning light/switch has a sound associated it - the yellow warning light/switch seems to be missing the sound - these are the ones above the attitude indicator... Started nailing St. Bart’s after some more practice - thanks for the help with that as well... Regards, Scott

If anyone has downloaded any of my PC12 paints and noticed weird reflections it's because cpcd_ext1_spec.dds is upside down. The cure is simple. Go to Carenado PC12 and open the 'Texture' folder(no number after it) and copy cpcd_ext1_spec.dds . Then paste it into the folder of my paint. Let it overwrite. If you have any doubts about the procedure E-MAIL ME! Please. Sorry to mess you about. I have no idea how the .spec file got to be turned upside down because I never touch them, honest.

UPDATE: Just found the answer supplied by Bert on another post with the same problem. Gyro Drift sorted by pressing D. But how often does that need pressing? It's been a long time since I flew a light aircraft with these navigation instruments but having just landed on Rwy 25 at EGAA where the runway heading is 250 can anyone please explain why the EHSI shows a heading of 331°? Hope that isn't a daft question. The NAV/GPS Mode switch is in NAV mode and NAV1 is selected. On a slightly different note is it possible for the aircraft to fly heading automatically with a flight plan loaded? I normally fly Concorde which does have that option of course as do all B…

This is my last PC12 paint....for 2017 anyway. I hope I never do another but you never can tell! In these screens there is no PC12 logo on the inboard winglets. On the final cut they're there. Along with a few extra texts. A thought: When is a straight line NOT a straight line? When it's on a Carenado paint! Happy New Year to one and all. Oops! I forgot the MediaFire Link On AVSIM soon.

I was on a flight from ENBR to ENAL in the PC12, and was performing a pretty steep descent (2800fpm) at low torque. I'm using the F1 GTN 750 as my nav unit, and I had the autopilot set to NAV, and it was following the path quite perfectly, until all of a sudden it decided to bank sharply to the left, the FD showing a bank angle way past 30 degrees, and the autopilot happily obliged. Before I could react to this, the FD moved to show an equal bank over to the other side, causing the AP to turn happily that way. After this, I couldn't get the autopilot to follow along in any way, even in heading mode the FD would oscillate left and right wildly. I switched off the auto…
