Correct / typical use of the PC-12's KMC321/KAS297 autopilot I thought it might be useful to outline the typical operating procedure for the PC-12's Autopilot. I spent a week flying with a PC-12 four years ago, while on a student exchange programme in Idaho. I won't pretend I did any flying, or even controlled so much as a flaps lever J ..... but as an aviation enthusiast I did make many notes of the operating procedures of this outstanding turbine aircraft. IMPORTANT NOTE: These procedures can only be followed if you have installed the autopilot modifications for this aircraft, by Bert Pieke. The stock autopilot has many errors and inaccuracies an…

I did a flight last night and the EFIS CRS marker would not slave to the GPS NAV CRS. I had to keep changing it manually? Anyone experience this.? It was working (I think at one point)...... If so the only change made to the file was the addition of Nicks wonderful performance mods and Berts mandatory A/P mods....Could that be related? I would not think so? Thanks. Using the default GPS BTW..

OK - now we are into cosmetics, maybe.. but it bugs me that the autopilot is at the top of the panel in the VC, but at the bottom in the autopilot popup.. So, here is a little change to Window03 in the panel.cfg: gauge00=GAUGEPC12KMC!Gauge_KMC321, 0, 0,512,168 gauge01=GAUGEPC12KMC!Gauge_KAS297, 60,169,392,165 gauge02=GAUGEPC12KMC!Gauge_CP467, 0,334,512,168 gauge03=PC12CAR!Toggle10130, 0, 0,512,20

  5. I have every Carenado aircraft, fs2004 and all but maybe 3 of fsx. Bought the Seneca a little while back with to be honest at first disappointmented. BUT THIS...have had it 30 minutes, have not even flown it..it has numerous 2d pop-ups that will completely surprise you. I am getting 30fps and that is a very good sign. I installed the RXPGNS530 from THERE setup available in the aircraft file. Under Carenado in fsx there is plenty of documentation. BUT THE GRAPHICS ARE UNREAL..FAR BETTER THEN ANYTHING THEY HAVE DONE. I OWN ALL the A2a products, All of Captain sim products, Aerosoft Twin otter, All Alabeo products and this is VERY Very impressive. NOT worried about the lis…

Hi, Apologies if this fix is already covered somewhere else. I couldn't find it. If you fly anywhere reasonably cold in the PC12, you will probably find that your Airspeed Indicator will fail / freeze, and show an airspeed of zero - even though you have the PROBE heat button on..... I just flew the length of Finland and my Probe Heat / ASI failed on climbout and never returned, for the whole 2.5hr flight. :( So to fix this, more juice (electrical power) is needed by the Probe Heat system. Go to your Aircraft.cfg and go to the [Electrical] entries, and change;- [Electrical] pitot_heat = 0, 2 , 17.0 to [Electrical] pitot_heat …

Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows if the PC12 being developed by Carenado is the new NG model or the previous model?

Just did a 8 hour shift of flying the Carenado PC12. While it has a few bugs, everyone is talking about already. I think its a great little plane. Had a wonderful day of flying it all over Alaska. Thanks Carenado. I approve.

  9. Started by Bert Pieke,

To position the GNS530 in the panel, first run the Carenado RXP530PC12 app, found in the PC12 folder, and then add an rxpgns.ini file to the PC12 airplane (or panel) folder! The GNS popup (as well as the EADI popup), only work with Instrument Reflections set to "off". Suggested settings for the ini file: [GNS530] Popup=10000 AutoPilotMode=2 Radios=1 LinkCdiKey=On AutoApproach=Off AutoCourse=On LinkVor=0 LcdStyle=off AutoWidth=500 AutoHeight=570 Trainer= NoKeyClick=Off DisableRxTx=Off AutoPowerOn=On GndSpdFromDeltaLatLon=Off LinkGPS=On ps. If you have the RXP Unlimited Pack, you can have two RXP 530s in the panel: [Vcockpit01] .... gauge03=rxpGNS!GNS530, 512, 0, …

I have only one flight so far. Beautiful model. I noticed my analog back up altimeter was stuck at 12000' although I was at 18000. Odd.

  11. Started by texerrn,

i think I have found the aircraft I will be using in P3d for a while. Very good ride. I do not need any dammed auto speed control hold either! Auto pilot works perfectly if you are familiar with that design. I agree a new high.
