Some days ago, I used the AP for hight only. I thought this would enable me to fly the headings and turns by hand but that proved to be impossible. The plane wanted to go straight ahaid and not much else. So my question: is this normal or not? Thanks for answering.

Dear all, Since first day I couldn't set the com2 frequency on lower GNS530. The left knob on lower GNS530 commands stanby by frequency on the top one only. In fact like the left knob on the upper GNS. Does anyone experience this trouble ? It isn't a major issue but becoming anoying when on network flying since I could monitor airport controlling in advance. If you have some tricks to solve this, I will take them. Thanks in advance. I have the PC12 installed in FSX and P3D v2.4. At the first flight of the day in each platform I can open the pax door shft + E and the cargo door shft + E + 2, however after a flight and parked (battery still on) I can only open the pax door, using shft + E, if I use shft + E + 2 the pax door is closed, no way of opening the cargo door. As previously posted this may be an issue with FSX Sp2, but the same occurs in P3D which has no service packs. Any ideas as to cause would be appreciated.

Just got the PC-12 the other day, so far liking it. Certainly very pleased that the characteristic 2-3 degree pitch down on approach is correct. The only issue I've spotted is approach speed at flap 15, according to my research, I suspect it's 15-20 knots too fast. Flap 30 and flap 40 are correct. 110knots is the correct approach speed for zero flaps, not flap 15.And at max landing weight, not 8500lbs. The PC-12 in the sim is 8500lbs, at that weight, at flap 15 it shouldn't be 110 knots. I could be missing something of course, I wouldn't be surprised.

I know of a tweak that allows the default GPS in FSX to show AI traffic, is there a similar tweak for the stock GPS in the PC12? I sometimes fly with the Avidyne nav gauge off but would like to monitor surrounding traffic via the NAV 1 GPS. steve

hi Guys, I have been followed this forum for a while and read many good feedback on this product from Carenado. People has been saying that with Bert and Nick's fixes, the aircraft is close to be as best as Carenado can be. Having no real world experience or detailed knowledge about this aircraft, I would just have to believe all of what has been said. I have always like to have GA aircrafts that are as closely simulated as the real thing as possible. While I have looked at the latest A2A offerings, the Piper 180 and T182 are too slow to my taste. Is this model from Carenado coming close to have all the system functioning as they should? I do not buy too many pl…

Anyone able to do a repaint in the colours of the Royal Flying Doctor Service from here in Australia? I think it's the biggest operator of the PC-12 or something like that. In any case, it'd be great to have for FSX.

I've had the Flight 1 version for some years and as the PC12 is a favourite aircraft I thought I'd add Coronado's effort . The original F1 PC12 annoyed me because some instruments were poorly lit at night and the panel does have a slight cartoonish look. Other than that it flies very well. Well the Carenado version looks better from outside as we've come to expect. The lighting effects are very good so night flying is no problem but as usual with Coronado the flight dynamics seem skittish. After some tweaking of the pitch and roll it feels heavier and flies well enough. Seemingly it has an accurate fuel burn which is something I always look for and achieved a slow…

Is anyone else having trouble stopping the PC12 after landing. I make my approach 60-80 kts, stage 2 flap, touch down near the PAPI, throttle to idle, but have to stand on the brakes and apply reverse thrust to slowdown/stop to get off the runway onto the taxiway. With this slow landing speed it should be alot easier to than this. Seems to have minimal brake effect. Joystick throttle is calibrated correctly.

well i mean... no reason TO ME it happens quite often i'm taxing to go to the head of a runway or getting out after a landing i'm moving slow or a little faster in any place no matter where i am suddenly i crash as i have hitted an object but i can't see nothing and the next time i can pass in the exact same place and no problem what am i doing wrong (or not doing well)???? thank you for your help

I continue to lose my airspeed in icing conditions at altitude. I noticed that when I select the Probe Heat switch the light illuminates but there's no additional draw on the ammeters. If I then use the key command Shift + H, the probe heat light remains illuminated but I then get an additional draw on the ammeters. If I then turn the probe heat switch off, the light goes out and the draw on the ammeters is reduced. In other words, the probe heat switch will not turn the probe heat on (only illuminates the light) but it will turn it off if I use the key command to turn it on. Anyone else having this issue or is it a problem on my end? -Bob

Hello All, I'm hoping someone here would be able to do a repaint of this Pilatus exactly how she is but with a pearl white and the registration N828SB. I would be willing to compensate someone for their time as long as it's outstanding. I really hope someone can make this happen!! Cheers, Bill http://flightaware.com/photos/view/402137-81479094fa0123cd67095fae6a3f01ccd87a624f/aircraft/N640KC/sort/votes/page/1

With each flight I get to know Carenado's PC-12 a bit better. I noticed that this aircraft is somewhat nervous around the pitch axis. Small stick movements e.g. during final approach lead to significant pitch corrections. If you look at the PC-12 from outside (and compare it to the numerous youtube videos) you will notice this behaviour even more clearly. It rather suits a small piston engine single than this large turboprop. Consequently, I experimented with somewhat different pitch stabilty factors in the aircraft.cfg. My final setting leads to a much more natural pitch behaviour for this aircraft: pitch_stability = 1.3 (rather than 1.0) You may give it a try and enjo…

So far everything was working fine, but something weird is happening now: The EADI top pointer is not moving anylonger either in left or right bank, when the FD and compass line works as expected. I was suspecting sort of corrupted file, but re-installed the aircraft but problem is still there. I would appreciate if someone could shed some light on this thanks jeanpierre

Just getting into flying this pretty bird and something weird is happening. After from 5 to 25 minutes, the electric power shut off and all my instruments are gone. I confess to not having yet done much reading, but Carenado doesn't supply much for the aircraft itself. I'm going to go get the SP1, but any thoughts would be interesting. William

Just bought PC-12 last night and I'm now reading through this forum (a lot to learn!). I'm a bit surprised that there seems no user guide/manual about PC-12 which explains the buttons and switches in the cockpit, plus how to operate them to correctly start the engine and shut down system etc. Or, as I'm not a big fan at all in terms of pushing 100 buttons just to get the propeller rotating, what are the shortcuts to get everything up and running by few keystrokes, etc. Admittedly my knowledge on operating a complex plane probably is laughable, but it's very disappointing that Carenado seems to assume that every customer of their PC-12 has already known everything …

The auto pilot does a bad job intercepting a vor or loc. How can I tweak it to be more responsive? It floats past the loc and chases it, APR goes back to APR Armed, and it has to turn back to intercept again. There was only a 3 knot headwind so it shouldn't perform this badly.

Every time I fly this aircraft it crashes with Fatal Error message. I don't get this error with any other aircraft, including PMDGs, etc. - The module that causes this crash is API.dll. Has anybody experienced this with this aircraft? Grateful for any input. Thanks

Guys, I have been flying different airplanes with the RXP530 for quite a while. You'd think I would have this down by now. But, about a third of the time when I initiate an ILS the A/P fails to capture the GS. I think I have everything set up as it should be. Here's how I do it. When I get close and start to be vectored I switch to HDG. Then I go into the 530 and activate the approach. I switch the 530 to VLOC. I select APR on the A/P. When I get close to the LOC I switch off HDG and the A/P flys the approach most of the time. About a third of the time I get nothing. The plane sails past the GS and I have to fly a visual. There is something I am missing. Hel…

Since installing the PC12, I have observed an issue with the fuel quantity indicator. When I load the fuel via FSX fuel and payload page, it does not match up to the indication in the cockpit. For example, if I load 350 lbs in FSX it will only have 200 in the aircraft's fuel quantity display. Anyone else had a similar problem? Cheers.

I just watched this great video http://www.flightvideoproductions.com/pilatus.htm But am now confused about proper operation of the PC-12 I've read others say the oxygen switch stays off unless in an emergency, but in this video it is on. In the video the pilot doesn't press arm for the vertical speed mode control, he presses engage. Who is correct?
