Hi, First, I know that the Tfdi B717 is not yet interfaced with MCE. Is this the reason why the FO with this aircraft does not acknowledge receipt of messages from the Atc (Clearance, Ground, Tower, Center and so...) ? I thought there might be a problem with some callsigns. This is not the case since other planes with the same callsign work perfectly... If I request to FO to contact Center, he does the job. Confirm Atc options works too. The FO changes Freqs and Squawk very well. The FO works perfectly with other aircraft including some that are not interfaced. Hi, I have a question about weather through MCE. Is there a setting to have the copilot always give the temp in Celsius and the visibility in miles (statute or nautical)? I seem to get varying degrees of information. At KSFO he was giving temp in Fahrenheit, and visibility in meters, even though the ATIS was calling temp in Celsius and visibility in miles. I then positioned to EDDF and I got the reverse. I'm using FSXWX weather program. (not the default weather program) I also was wondering is there a way to trigger an event at specific altitude? For example say I want copilot to turn off the landing lights passing 10000 ft, is it possible to program that throu…

Hello fellow MCE Captains. Those of you who fly the Mjc Dash 8 with MCE and specifically those who have "upgraded" to P3dv4. Could you confirm that you have the same functionality as you did with the Mjc in P3dv3? I ask because after a trying weekend of installing software into V4, I have lost quite a few functions that I previously had with the sim. To name a few. FO no longer energises the starter after the start engine command. He/she states that it's done, but it's not! No dialling of Nav radio frequencies. The FMC is not used as before and the Radio Panel has to be tuned manually. Same with ADF and Squawk. FO does not dial Navigation t…

Can anyone help me with some issues I'm having with MCE? I'm operating the FS labs A320 with P3D 4.1 and the latest version of MCE. (as at October 2016) When I'm setup with either 2D or Virtual cockpit, I'm requesting various FCU selections such as SPD, ALT or HDG. On some occasions I am hearing the correct read back from my virtual co-pilot and I'm hearing some clicking sounds in the background however I am not seeing a change on the FCU. In other cases, I hearing a vague acknowledgment of the request although it becomes apparent that it certainly was not understood correctly. Hello, I'm afraid MCE's interaction in P3Dv4.1 with RC4's ATC is completely broken in the current version, at least when it is in a networked configuration, like I run RC4 on a client pc. The Flight Plan gets recognized by MCE Ok (EGLL to EHAM), FO responds to almost anything you throw at him correctly, Voxkey works perfect even with longer requests. MCE seems to be unable to recognize any variation of the request to RC4's ATC (like "Heathrow Clearance Speedbird five four [with November] request ATC clearance Amsterdam]. Hi, is there a possible configuration so that the CoPilot is not calling "Localizer alive ..." when I depart from an ILS supported runway? I still want the callouts when I approach an ILS runway. Thanks for the help. Peter

OK, I have looked at the various comments and could not see anything up to date regarding MCE voice recognition not working, possible due to the latest Widows 10 update. I have managed to add text into MCE custom training, but it is a bit time consuming to type in individually all the required patter. I noticed too that you cannot copy and paste text from other sources/files to the training text file. The Windows 10 own voice training it seems does work and I have recorded my vocals into this, reading its content, not however relevant to flight. If anyone has a less time consuming solution, please let me - and others know. Regards Ajay

Hello to the community, As stated in the subject I have th issue, that my FO dials heading as well as Altidute although I have the radio. This goes back to the thing, that sometimes ATC doesn't let me descent in in time so without any correction I would come way to hight to the approach. So I manually dial e.g. 5000 ft. but as soon as the ATC tells me I should mantain eg. 15.000ft my FO is doing that and selcting teh requested Altiude. So at the moment my only way out of this is, that I disengage the AP and fligh manually. Can some pls. tell me what I'm doing wrong regards Heinz

Hello to the community, since I made a full clean reinstall of win 10 including all apps also MCE 2.3.4, I'm not able to run the speech training. I always ghe a notification that speech training is not configured properly and I should go to the advanded toption and set speech recognizer 8.0 as default. I've checked that and everything is set as requested. Any other tips what I did wrong? regards Heinz

I have very few time for serious simming these days due to other obligations. Just found the time today for an airliner flight with the newest versions of MCE and PF3 (on P3DV3.4). I used my FO for ATC throughout the flight and I am happy to say it was a flawless flight from gate to gate. One thing that bothered me throughout the flight though is this (I think I mentioned it earlier): Every time my FO checked in with a new ATC facility while in cruise he said "<facility name> <callsign> as cleared". I am not sure if this is correct phraseology but I guess I have never heard it outside of MCE, be it in PF3 or LiveATC. The usua…

Gerald post in another thread: "You can only play and stop one sound at a time. Or play it in a loop." How does one play a sound in a continuous loop and how to stop that loop. Or does it stop when a new sound is played? Stuart

Hi, I have a strange problem, even with PTT pressed, FO intercept my comma with ATC (vatsim) and then if he hears "approach", FO announces approach and then speech recognition in MCE stops. Need to quit MCEand restart again. Does this happen to others ?. Is it a known issue and is there afix ? Thanks

Hi, I'm still trying to fine tune the push back procedure using GSX. I call ground 'cockpit to ground' and then 'Mechanic please start push back to the left/right. GSX menus will then flash up and question do i want to start engines before push back and the FO will ask me. Sometimes it will push back in the requested direction, most of the time just goes straight back. A menu pops up with two options 'abort push back' and stop push back here' and then something odd happens a lot of the time. The mechanic will attach the pin, walk away from the plane and then just stand there bending his knees and nothing happens. The only way out of this situation is to select 'abor…

Hi, all of a sudden my FO complains in a row "I am no robot" "I can only handle one thing at a time". Even if I do nothing, no request, no mouse click.I even reinstalled MCE. This is with the FSL Bus but only the IAE variant; CFM is working fine. Thanks for the help Peter

Tried to update to 2.7.4.2. in FSX/P3D. Did the uninstall from the control panel...did not remove anything manually. Now I try to install the new version by clicking on "InstallMCE.exe" and it keeps telling me it finds an older version and I need to uninstall it. Looked again in Control Panel, Uninstall Programs...no MCE is shown. How can I fix? Thanks,

Hello All, I was trying to get refuelling done with PMDG 737 NGX and MCE. When I request ramp for refuel, the fuel truck turns up and I hear I believe the truckmor mechanics voice ask "how much fuel do you want?". I have not been able to respond to this via voice, and end up punching thenumbers in the fuel page in FMC. My fuel is setup in LBS, so toload 13,500 lbs what would I have to say ? Andwill that then be input into fuel page in FMC?. Thanks in advance.

I just wanted to as if anyone has seen their FO dial in heading and altitudes which have been said by PF3? As far as I’m aware PF3 FO is set to off when used via MCE, so there should be no interaction with the autopilot MCP. This morning I was given a departure heading of 035, which I set. After that I did not check my heading as I was waiting for PF3 to guide me on to my FP, but that never came. After asking for the logs to be checked Dave at OCS said heading was 065, I can only think that my FO altered my heading after he read back the clearance. i have seen the FO adjusting headings and altitudes when really it should be me that needs to do it, and else seen…

Hello to the community Not sure if this issue is related to MCE of PF3 but I Just figured out that my officer doesn’t dial the correct Frq. My FO sets the ATC freq but not accurate enought, so he always sest the values left from the decimal correct but mostly the values on the right side of the decimal are just set to ".00" and not e.g. .15 Have someone ever heart about that, has the same issue, or even better a solution to this. best regards heinz
