Question: Does anyone know if any of the above applications will run under Linux OS with a Windows emulator? My Windows pc is courrupted after Windows 10 upgrade, and as X-Plane runs under Linux I am contemplating switching to Linux? Cheers, Stuart

Hopefully, this topic does not already exist, but I cannot find the captains flows for the new Q787 Dreamliner. The flows for the Q757 exist , but not the 787. I may be missing something and the flows are not yet available. Thanks for any help. S. Sumner

Hi FS++ and all, Is it possible if we can get our own section in mce.ini so that we may customize our features as toggles? For example, since most of us use FSX Pilot as an autopilot and not the simulator autopilot, having MCE enter the autopilot headings and altitudes as PF3 gives them is kind of pointless now, though it does help in instances where MCE says things like 1000 to go, etc. So it's a double edged sword. On the other hand, since FSX Pilot doesn't use the simulator autopilot, I could use the feature that reads flight instrument data aloud so that I know FSX Pilot is working and doing what I tell it to do. Hi all, I just got an RC4 key again, and was curious about how the RC intigration with MCE works. Is it possible to have it handle coms on ground like PF3 does? I can't remember if that was BVI specific or not. I just figured I'd try it--I know David Herky here still prefers it I think. I like RC4 because it nags more consistently if I forget the last instruction, whereas with PF3, I don't know all of the commands for MCE, such as how to make MCE send the say it again command to PF3.

I am writing checklists for this aircraft and I woukd like to use the Flight Engineer's position for some commands. However, the main window for MCE states that a flight engineer is not used, only the co-pilot, mechanic and purser positions are activated. Is it possible to activate the flight engineer so that he can respond to all appropriate commands. I have searched the forum but cannot find any other mention of this.

I get the "Could not retrieve information for this specific aircraft..." message with the Aerosoft DC-8 50. I have the latest version of the aircraft and 2.7.63 of MCE. Thanks for your help.

Hi, Just a couple of minor issues I'm having. Since about 2.7.48, when asking for asking for vertical speed 1000, my co-pilot will only say "roger setting vertical speed 100. I can get him to set 1000 only by saying phonetically one zero zero zero. Only happens in climbs. The other issues seems to be when acknowledging approach clearances, ie "NXXX you are XX miles, cleared visual or ILS approach RWY XX", I can never seem to get the proper phrasing correct. I've tried all of the different command variations but always seem to end up having to say Option One to proceed. This also seems to happen when acknowledging hand-offs to tower from approach, Ie "NXXX turn right …

The Leonardo Mad Dog is out for 64 bit P3d! Haven't got it myself, but don't forget that MCE already supports it! A recent You Tube video (that English Chap who lives in America) failed to mention MCE and only referred to the competitors version, which of course will cost you an extra wallop of cash!! The Mad Dog is expensive enough without splashing extra money on it for voice control? The advertisements say it has "True Glass" and that fancy cockpit lighting from the 717, along with every system modelled, so it looks very tasty for the Mad Dog fans! As for myself, I am still infected by the Superbug... Happy simming!

Hi, I did try the demo and now I am in the planning stages to buy the license for MCE. I did a search prior to posting, and I may have missed something on search. Can I use the same license one two different installations but both the systems are in 1 PC. I have one Windows installation for FSX and one for P3Dv4. I multiboot to either one. Will one license work or I have to buy 2 licenses for the same 1 PC. PS - Is it me or at times MCE (demo) co-pilot just doesn't follow commands in the NGX. I did tune my mic etc and everything works. Good day all. We are making good strides towards adding support for the recently released QW 787. It is about to enter Beta testing. We call on existing MCE users to help us expedite the testing process. We think it's fair to ask you because this will be delivered as a free update like many others before. Hi all, I just recently purchased GSX so I can use it alongside MCE. What determines the unit that I can give my fuel quantities in? Do I have to change the sim's unit, or can I give the quantity in either pounds, KG or percents? I know percents are always an option, but I have trouble converting what planners usually give me as units into percents, so I'd rather just say what is given if possible, whether it be in KG or pounds. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I wish to use MCE as a co-pilot on my A320 Flight simulator to only read out my checklists, without doing anything else, as well as not requiring my answers to be exactly the same as on my Checklist. Also with him Not commenting on things said in the cockpit, either by me or the ATC in use at the time. I have MCE installed on P3D V4. When I tried to install a voice pack, it installed it to FSX and not P3D. How do I get the voice pack to install on P3D?

I have been away for some time doing my PPL so I havent been up to date with the sim. Recently I have found time to fly around for some time and wanted to fly my 717, and as always i use MCE with everything. Hello, I am a new MCE user, so far I really love the software. I am starting from the basic: editing already available scripts and writing a simple script to interface with PROATC-X. I have a question related to scripts: It is possible to add a command to pause a script until a specific "voice command" is issued? I now you can insert a PAUSE=xx, but I would like to share with my FO some of the activity to setup the plane, for example: The F/O speaks "Captain set the altimeter" the script goes in pause. ..... I set the Altimeter... then I speak "done" and the script resumes. thanks Roberto Carideo

Hi all, Me and FS++ have been trying to work at this for a bit now, with seemingly no success. After affirming that, indeed, it wasn't my patience that was the issue, I went ahead and added the PF3 folder to the Windows Defender Exclusions. That's the only security software I have on my computer. Basically, I first tell the MCE FO that he's got the radio by saying, "your radio". Getting clearance goes well, I receive it, but MCE, having the radio, doesn't reply back. Keep in mind I've waited about 15+ seconds here, sometimes 20 for good measure. FS++ said there's supposed to be a clearance.log written to the PF3 directo…

I upgraded from P3D v4.0 to v4.2 and also GSX forced me to update to the latest version. i am on MCE ver 2.7.57 i find MCE is nor responding to GSX green bar instructions eg open cargo doors etc. The aircraft is pmdg 737ngx the latest version. it was working fine before I upgraded p3d and to latest version of GSX. known issue ?

Hello, I have a big problem with the installation of the latest version (V2.7.5.8 ) and also the 'prior' V2.7.5.9 ! After starting the installer (InstallMCE.exe) the p3d-folder is opening as usual, but nothing happens then anymore !? Watching the background processes I have noticed, that Bootstrap.exe opens and then this process closes immediately ! Of course I disabled the firewall and executed as admin... The last version I'm able to install (like all other versions before that) is V2.7.5.5 !? Any Ideas ? greetings Gerolamo

Hello, I am re-installing everything, following a major crash. Default installations for ALL applications, with UAC disabled. Running P3Dv4.2 (+ FSUIPC, Orbx, AS4, ASCA, PMDG737....all working fine). The MCE installer keeps requiring first thing that P3D be in "Run as Admin" mode. It was already. I tried several times to reapply this mode (P3D Properties-Compatibility,) plus restarting and checking. No change. Thank you for your help, Giorgio Giorgio Goggi

Even with all FO functionalities turned off (and only "Talk to ATC controllers" activated in the MCE UI) whenever PF3 (on VFR flights) calls "The airport is ... Report airport in sight" a magic FO comes entering my cockpit, replies to ATC and asks me if I can see the runway. No other situation I experienced that. Can you please ban him from my solo cockpit? Btw: With the FO activated but in "I have ATC"-mode he does the same as above (as it would be in "You have ATC"-mode). So that should be changed also. Regards!

Hi all... I’ve started getting the following messages when tried to launch MCE on P3D V4 "Could not start Splash Screen" followed by "Application already running time copilot definitely aboard, just look around, if the some reason you cannot see the window all the tray icon etc.. Please use Kill tool process tool provided" Basically although it says program is running, and processes is running in the background (viewed in TASK manager) but no icon or menu box etc I have tried the follow, as per instructions but still getting the same problem, any ideas on what could be causing this... any support you can offer would be fantastic …

What additional functionality do you exactly achieve by MCE reaching 2D MCDU panels? I really liked how MCE worked with FSL A320 with my MCE settings before in the past versions. I used Real cockpit Crew Coordination and Call-outs and monitoring functions, plus my custom commands in the VoxKey. There was no any interaction by MCE with MCDU 2D panels, but I never cared less about procedure scripts offered by MCE so I wouldn't know any different even if MCE reached them in certain situations. I can understand there's some necessary functionality that you can only reach via manipulating 2D MCDUs and I can live with MCE juggling them at the start up once, no prob…

Is there any way to stop those Q400 2D panels from popping up when I ask the FO to switch something? I have a large sharp VC to look at but MCE throws those ugly 2D panels at me, and for such a short time (< 1 sec), that it is visually disturbing. It's not even consistent. For example the on/off toggle switches on the overhead (OH) do not bring up the 2D panel but the rotary type OH switches do. ?? I'm using P3dV4.2 with Win10 and MCE 2.7.5.5 Thanks, gb.
