Hello, as a new user of MCE, and clearly with a long learning curve ahead, I am already utterly impressed. It is truly amazing ! One of the absolute best additions to my setup (P3Dv4.1, PMDG 737NGX, plus other stuff...). 1- A trivial question: is there a reason for naming some flows “Procedures”, and others plainly “Flows”? 2- A less trivial one: I wish to issue a command for silencing the warning horn when disconnecting the autopilot on final (not the moment for groping with the mouse!). Using the suggested phrasing “silence the horn” or “silence the bell” I get polite acknowledgements from the FO, but no actions (probably he acts only on the takeo…

Hi, I was flying a couple of flights with the newly released CRJ for P3D4.2. MCE does not recognize my voice after 15 minutes or so. I have to restart; by the way this happens also with the FSLBus. DC service switch is not handled when part of a flow. If I ask separately no problem. Thanks Peter

Can't get co-pilot to respond to ATC - I tell him your ATC and he acknowledges but then never responds when ATC call - any ideas?

If you are running GSX you would have received an in game update. I got mine yesterday. If you had read the notes on what was included you would have seen a mention of MCE. Below is an explanation of how the GSX updated impacted on MCE. Hi All If you are having problems contacting 'Simon' then please let us know. If it is just 'sometimes' or does Simon appear when you have started GSX/AES from the keyboard. Is the problem every now and again. Also what version of MCE are you using Thanks

Hi, Wizzair 33 is unrecognized by MCE copilot, he does not respond to the Atc...Other airline like Easyjet 33 for example works perfectly. MCE 2.7.5.0 P3Dv4.2 W7U64 I noticed that MCE Atc interface read it like "Wizz Air", PF3 use "Wizzair". Maybe it's the problem ? Thank you and Regards,

Hi to all, I just wanted to fly my new 'MILVIZ OTTER' with MCE (only the ATC-option) but MCE is always restarting with the sentence: "...you don't need my assistance ... a copilot is not required for this type of aircraft !?" Hi, I posted this in the "If you think you've found something wrong" topic, but didn't get a response After updating to latest version 2.7.48, On a VFR flight when requesting flight following, ATC gives a transponder code and requests acknowledgement of the squawk. I am no longer able to get a response from ATC unless I say option 1 to the menu item. This was working prior to update. Any suggestions? Also, is there a way to speed up the response from a script? It appears that it takes the F/O a long time to complete a script even though there are no pauses built into the script. Thanks again for a phenomenal product. Tony

I know there were issues in the past with the A320 in P3Dv4 where certain functions were not working? Have they been solved or a workaround been discovered? I’m looking at buying the plane and I saw that a new version of MCE was just released. Thanks for constantly updating!

I read that the latest iteration of P3dv4 (4.2) will have "experimental" voice control? Did LM not realise we already have the best voice control in MCE? We know MCE won't interfere with anyone's installation of P3d. It won't cause other add-ons to crash (until devs update their programs to work with the new sim.) It won't need a GPU driver reinstall. It won't cause any anxiety of reinstalling components...etc etc... I won't be "upgrading" to it! I don't have a VR Headset (too expensive and not enough resolution with current graphics cards) , I don't fly helicopters (stick to DCS) and don't require AI waypoints for helicopters, so thankfully it's one upgrade I …

I have downloaded and installed your latest v2.5.0.2 and everything seems to have gone south. 1) Uninstalled (as allways) existing version then installed new v2.5.0.2. 2) Run App Wizard, which does not come up automatically (have to go to start menu after install). Goes as far as "Set Sound Device" then it closes after i select. 3) When i start FSX it seems to take for ever for MCE to initialize and sometimes comes up saying could not automatically start. 4) When i start interaction with the F.O., i get practically no voice regognition at all (no problem with ground i.e. GSX). I feel that my trusty first officer Dieter needs glasses :) When auto-tuning the COM1 frequency, he sometimes makes a mistake, i.e. enters a slightly different frequency (decimals are wrong). We fly with FSLabs A320 and use PF3, clearance.log method, "you have radio" mode. I believe that FSLabs uses the standard P3D way for setting COM1, thus, I wonder what causes this problem and if it is specific to this aircraft. Roman

Sorry if this is a silly question, but I haven't been able to find an answer. In P3d, MCE shows my voice command in red text on the left top of the screen. That's fine, but it also shows the virtual memory and FPS counter at the top of the screen whenever I issue a command. I know I can completely disable the text via the P3D menu, but how do I disable only the virtual memory and FPS text at the top of the screen? They are quite distracting. Thanks.

I have been using PF3 and MCE for awhile. Last week I decided to buy a new headphone/mic set. Everything worked fine till the mic died. I used a hand mic for a few days but PF3 would not respond to any voice commands (no text on the screen) yet MCE heard me fine. I purchased a new headphone/mic today and ran it through the tests and the mic works fine. When I run MCE and PF3 the FO hears me fine but nothing is going through to PF3. I don't see any text on my screen when I key the mic but I hear the noise indicating the PTT key is working. I've adjusted mic volume and it works fine in windows and MCE its just seems to be unresponsive to PF3 (the key commands to PF3…

I'm sure you already told me how I can disable the greetings by the GSX ramp agent when flying small GA aircraft with an entry in the MCE.ini. But I can't find it anymore. Would you please tell me again? You gave so many valuable advice here and they are all hidden somewhere in this forum - too bad. I would really appreciate if you would create a pinned thread with a collection of all these tips and tricks that are not mentioned in the manuals but only somewhere around this forum.

I realise this is an incredibly versatile program, does not need you to repeat the same phrases like a recorded announcement to make things work. For this very reason, there are lots of ways of doing things. I thought we could start a thread in which we could add what "finds" we have made which make this program tick. I will start by saying a "must"... Go into the checklist tab, and select the appropriate checklist for your aircraft, dont leave it at generic, specially if you want to use the program with the NGX or the Wilco A320/321. For the NGX, select the PMDG NGX checklist, or the scripts wont work.

Which is the most recent MCE version for 64bit? I'm currently on 2.7.4.2., is that the latest?

Firstly, good job on adding the FF A350, iv been waiting for this for ages :) however, iv installed the latest version of MCE but there doesnt seem to be any flows, The copilot only resp[onds to the checklists, Is this how its supposed to be ? or am i bffing up again ? Cheers Gaz

Hi, there are a couple of things which I hope can be corrected. How can I train my F/O to pronounce ADIRS correctly, she always says something like "sdirs". With the introduction of forcing MCE to stay alive, F/O says from time to time "ok" or something similar. If this happens during a checklist run checklist gets stopped and I have to start again. Besides some known problems with the FSL Bus COM-dialing is unreliable; sometimes it works correctly, sometimes F/O dials incorrectly; like I say 132.95 F/O dials 132.85 or 132.90. I run a "runway entry procedure" (took one from Charly and modified); F/O challenges "state runway" I say "…

After watching some videos and programs on TV, I wondered whether the MCE FO could be made to read out speeds on final approach, in a similar manner to his call out speeds on takeoff. Thought would be to enter VRef Speed in the monitor tab of GUI and have the FO read out speed at 10 knot increments when say below 1000 ft, or simply based on plus or minus 30 knots of the VRef speed. This would enable the pilot to concentrate more on the runway out of the window rather than constantly glancing down at speed etc., as I think this seems to happen in the real world. Just re-installed MCE after a gap of a few years . I'm having problems with the ATC! I tried assigning a PTT joystick button and it captured my button 9 and produced a continuous tone when pressed, which continued when released. I had to close FSX to get rid of the tone. I re-installed MCE and made sure I did not attempt to set a joystick button but went instead for the DELETE key option. However on pressing this I again get a continuous tone, which does stop when I release the key, but ATC hear nothing. There is no 'squelch' in out as described. Just updated my Win7 P3D Pro v4 to version 4.1. Installed MCE 2.7.35, which I think is the latest version. MCE 2.7.35 runs fine with my FSX and P3D Pro v3.4 sims. But with my P3D Pro v4.1, MCE connects to the simulator, but then never gets beyond "Please Wait for Your Copilot to Board". The v4.1 install in P3Dv4.1 appears ok; fsinsider64.dll, fsinsider.ini, and MCE.dlls folder are all there. I've run the wizard (works normally) and tried full uninstall/reinstall, but copilot won't board v4.1. Is MCE 2.7.35 compatible with P3Dv4.1 ?
