Hi, I’m totally blind, and use MCE to assist with flying in prepar3d version 4.4. I recently got the Majestic q400 pilot edition for prepar3d. When attempting to start up this aircraft using MCE, I’m running into a problem. I can’t get the engine started. Here is what I have tried: Used the before start flow to prepare the aircraft after loading the aircraft in the sim. Tried saying “start engines”. It seems like MCE is trying to engage the starter, but nothing happens. I also get asked a second time if I want to start engines. I’ve also tried resetting to cold and dark, then power up with apu, before startup, then start engines with the…

I have always used PFE/PF3 on a client PC in MSFS/P3D. Can PFEtoXplane work with PF3 installed on a networked client? Same question about RC4toXplane. Are there limitations when using PF3 or RC4 in X-Plane compared to P3D? Thanks,

Gerald using with P3Dv45 / MCEv2792 / mcpmd77Xv1081 on W764. I have callouts for V1,R,2 but the data being used is not "auto" updated from the FMC (as it does in the NGX) ...... and also no data update for flaps, flex temp or runway. Your advise is appreciated.

Seen the answer somewhere but dammed if I can find it. How do you stop the mechanic when powering up the aircraft with ground power, releasing the brakes when he sticks the chocks in or better still stop him from putting the chocks in in the first place?

I know I may have raised this before, don't know if there is a solution or MCE could easily be modified. I run 3 screens, left, centre (primary screen), & right. I run X-Plane11 full screen split over the left & centre screens using X-Plane's internal multiscreen configuration. However, when starting MCE it is unable to identify that X-Plane is running and just sits with the "Trying to connect to simulator" message. Either when starting MCE from the task bar, or from the XP11 plugins menu. I really miss using MCE and would welcome a solution to this issue. Any advice or solution?

Just to give you guys some good feedback. I had an issue (my fault) with the RC4toXplane plugin. Ben was quick to respond and very patient with my mistakes over the last couple of days with email exchanges. Value for money! Thanks Ben and you can trust this plugin is supported well.

After I updated MCE recently it happens occasionally that the FO does not read the reply specified in a voxscript any more. It does not happen all the time and it seems not to be dependend on which voxscript I call for. Sometimes he reads the reply, sometimes not. The rest of the voxscript is executed fine. Since that only occured after my latest update I suspect it might have to do with the new automatic notifications on flow start feature. I don't have (and did not add) the line AutoNotifyOnSilentFlowStart= in my MCE.ini though. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hello all, I'm a new MCE user. I find out that the FO is very slow to execute his flow: apparently one action each 10 seconds or more. So slow sometimes that it seems that I'd better do the job myself. Is it normal and is there a setting to have the FO acting faster? regards

May I ask if you already had the chance to work on these (hopefully last) small issues with PF3 which I reported some time ago? Also the VFR pattern reports (turning base etc.) still do not work (I reported that long ago), neither when talking to ATC myself nor when telling my FO to do so. Best regards!

I always had FO sometime misunderstanding something but lately it has been worse. FO keeps doing doing things that i don't ask or doing thing totally unconsistent with what I say. Example; me - take off checklist FO - take off checklist, cancel checklist , adirs 1 off ,adirs 2 off adirs3 off OR me - Taxi flow FO- Taxi flow, slats retracted , cancel flow, hey i have only two hands boss, slats retracted, slats retracted...etc etc This is quite disturbing especially when he turns off the adirs just before take-off or for example when he retracts the flaps when you are at 500 ft on final. Hello, I found two issues with the PMDG 737NGX: 1- When asking the FO to set: - the ADF1 frequency, or - the stand by frequency, or - to transfer/toggle frequencies, the reply is OK, but in reality NO ACTION results. 2- Also, some COMM frequencies are not recognised by the FO: Example: Set COMM1 120.080 (LEAL ATIS freq.). I purchased MCE two weeks ago and most things work pretty nice. I switched my Windows to US in order to do the speech training and then switched back to german. Co-pilot understands almost everything I say. But there are a few issues I need some help: Frequency dialing I advise the co-pilot for example: "select com one standby frequency one two three decimal four five". He reads back correctly. Hi, I have a good and new headset. I can't use MCE because it is always detecting commands that I no say. For example im in silence and the co-pilot says speed 135 set match? what? check item. When I follow the checklist it recognizes what I am saying very well but it detects other commands in between for example checklist to taxi. Nose lights? set to taxi. flaps? (speed 135 set already set don't say that to me captain baladsasdfkjdasbfdsfbdsk) It's really frustrating. this is not happening with FS2crew and both use the same headset and the same voice recognition. I'm using MCE with P3DV4.5 standard ATC, flying VFR. It works very well with GROUND and TOWER. I still have standard ATC voice active, so when I use MCE, the standard ATC also responds with the correct VOICE announcement (request take off, acknowledge take off clearance, etc.)...sort of a double check that all is working OK. I have trouble with non-towered airports. I do not get the standard ATC repeat of my instructions, confirming MCE and the standard ATC interface is working properly. I tune to the correct Unicom frequency, then press and hold DEL, then say <airport> Traffic, <call sign> is taking off runway 22, departing to the south. But, I do n…

I am unable to get the PTT mute when talking on vatsim to work. I think I had it working a long long time ago but I'm in a new setup now. The current workaround is to just numlock mute mce but I'd prefer to use my trigger on my joystick as vatsim PTT that mce recognizes so it'll mute itself. I've gone into the mce.ini and tried filling in the vatsim part and also just for a wild chance tried changing the voxatc part.

hi all, i prefer to use the TTS-voice for the co-pilot in MCE, because then all items on my A320 checklists are recognized and readout in a correct and naturally way. Same for the ATC. With TTS the requests are fast fluent and sound natural. The recorded voice sets are really struggling with the checklist like "MCDU Flightplan page" is read as "McDooo....page" or many word´s just not be spoken and left out. The TTS reads anything correctly. But, when the Co confirms at ATC (the readback) he talks very slow and even in an robotic telegraph stile like "...Hamburg......Ground......cleared to....E....d.....d.....s....runway...0........5.......via taxiway....z....1....a.…

This is just a suggestion for a new feature: FSLabs A320 in its latest versions improved ATSU to a new level. It also comes up with company messages. These company messages can be sent by the system as loadsheets, performance calculations, ATIS ... and also from VATSIM vPilot via hoppie acars system (for example: ATC message "contact me on 123.45"). I think this could be a really helpful new task for pilot monitoring: As a new company message comes in, he may inform the captain: "New company message received". I wonder if this could be done? Hi, I've got a problem with the PMDG DC-6 - I know it isn't fully supported but there are other non-supported aircraft that don't have this problem. Whenever I load the aircraft, with monitoring, enabled it complains that there have been engine failures, this is also the case when shutting down an engine. Also whenever I try and lower the gear, it complains saying that I'm overspeeding and asks me if I'm sure I want to lower it. Is there a way to stop it doing this? It'd be greatly appreciated. Hello, Now testing and running v. 2.7.96 A new set of statements by the FO has been introduced at the beginning of each Flow/Procedure. They sound: “ok, beginning flow”, or “roger, performing procedure” (and variants). They do not help, and turn out to be rather annoying. We (users) normally run a large number of flows with big planes (I have 65 flows!), some of them being quite short. Having these statements repeated over and over is unnecessary, since we can add such statements in our scripts at will, and in the end it does sound unprofessional. I suggest/urge you to drop this additional feature. Let me kindly remind you that the ADF settings issue…

I used to run MCE and Radar Contact together on XPlane11, but now tend to mostly fly online with either VATSIM or IVAO. I think I used to need XPUIPC to connect with RC4, but I can't remember if MCE requires this program installed too. Can someone please advise whether I still need to run the plugin XPUIPC if just running MCE?
