Author 'Jan-Hendrik Hanuschik' This is a modification of an aircraft, and is an unofficial product for Aerofly FS2. https://www.aerofly.com/community/filebase/index.php?file/62-jan-s-cessna-172-“cold-and-dark”-aircraft-modification/ Installation Changed in comparison to older previous versions! This new installation process will result in two Cessna 172s in the selection, one will be this cold and dark mod, the other will leave the original aircraft unchanged. (The mod will be towards the end of the selection list, not next to the original aircraft) Go to your installation directory of the Aerofly FS 2 in the Steam apps, which is usually at “C:…

Just installed afs2 and trying to set up ch yoke and rudder pedals both controllers are recognised and I have calibrated both but when I start flight the rudder pedal seems to be doing the yokes job of flying the plane not very controllable, are there any instructions for afs2 that would help. one other problem I seem to have is that any menu boxes at the bottom of the screen doesn't work when I move the cursor inside the box it also duplicates itself outside of the box and you are unable to make a selection Hope this makes sense. Hope to get this resolved at start exploring afs2. Thanks , jim

Incredible! In terms of visuals, the first part (the view from outside the canopy) is the closest thing to a real aviation video I've ever seen. Not even GTA V looks so real. How did they do that?

Hello Everybody, First of all I apologize for my English (I am Italian). If something is not clear please let me know. I have read some reviews and watched some videos of this new FS under development, and I am getting curious. It seems to me that it can grant a photorealistic experience with very good performance (so far, we will see when a full weather implementation and AI traffic will be included) but two aspects raise my concern for the future of the project: 1. The size of the DLCs*: as far as I understood, at the moment we are talking about 100+ GBs for only part of the USA territory with few airports. When (and if - how long will it take?) the …

You know how we always find comments about "Wish we had xyz scenery" or "hope devs start producing for our sim" ? Well here's a chance to promote just that for AFS2. New Zealand is a great VFR experience. Like Switzerland, it is quite compact but offers a bigger range of scenery. It would make a fantastic place to use AFS2. Here's a guy who can make this happen, with a little encouragement. Take a look here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1219982571/new-zealand-scenery-for-flight-simulation

This tool will make it easy for just about anyone to define an area that you want to fly over, obtain hi-res aerial imagery from applications like FSET (FSEarth Tiles), use the easy to use GeoConvert tool that IPACS has worked very hard to make as easy as possible, take the resulted image files and simply drop them into Aerofly FS 2. Want more? How about having access to the IPACS model library?…

Hi folks! just passing on some hopefully interesting info. From Drhotwing1 (Ipacs) Greetings Aerofly FS2 Community, We wanted to provide you with a status update regarding the much anticipated Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 Aircraft. As you are all aware, the Q400 aircraft will have most of the complex systems installed and operational as described by Jan in the previous posting: Q400 status update - More screenshots! These new systems will not only be isolated to the Q400 aircraft. The updated autopilot system that will be a part of this release will affect all of the FS2 aircraft that have an autopilot system. Due to this, careful testing will be taki…

This is a totally independent and non-associated IPACS website established for the users of the Aerofly FS2 flight sim. It is updated almost continuously and is loaded with timely news and information. You can spend hours or even days exploring the content. Lots and lots of detail and a gazillion screenshots. A new one-hour Learjet 45 sightseeing flight was just added today. You can find the site here. www.aeroflycentral.com Regards, Ray

Jeff from IPACS posted on the Steam forum the upcoming Dash will be free! Amazing! I really didn't expect that! I presumed this would be the first payware addon DLC (whatever you want to call it) plane because it offers more than ANY default plane in ANY sim and it has been worked on for a long time... but still they will simply add it to the sim for free! I would have bought it without thinking about it but this is great, of course.

On the IPACS forum, this program is needed before you run their new GeoConvert tool. I'd get it while you can. It is the latest version 1.03, and probably the last version...I don't think this program is supported any longer by the original Dev. This is it.... Be sure to modify the Source Locations in the .ini file....READ THE MANUAL! Took me quite a search to find this active link: All other links were dead links... http://www.f-bmpl.com/index.php/faites-le-vous-meme/209-2-installation-de-fsearthtiles-1-3
