Hi, according to a recent post by IPACS, they have an initial version of the Aerofly FS2 SDK available. Here is the announcement, copied from the Steam forum: (http://steamcommunity.com/app/434030/discussions/0/350533172683740293/). IPACS state: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update is a preparation for our initial SDK version. With this version Aerofly FS 2 can sent flight information to an external DLL or over a network connection and can receive new messages from the DLL or via network. Its currently not public yet. Drop us a note if you are really somebody interested in t…

The question is aimed at any Aerofly 2 PC users, but I would particularly like to ear from those of you who also use X-plane 10 and / or used Flight Unlimited. From a very superficial analysis of some configuration files I did when I had Aerofly FS v1, I noticed that there were aspects in common with Flight Unlimited, and in some way also with X-plane 10 since the flight model is also based on a decomposition of aircraft lift / drag / thrust generation surfaces. How do you compare the "feel of flight", even given only default aircraft models are presently avilable, between Aerofly 2 and either X-plane 10 or Flight Unlimited 2 and 3 ?

Jordan King just got done streaming, my impressions from viewing is that it is pretty in the day time, the lessons depend on a on-screen overlay instead of real instruments, landing lights dont illuminate the ground, weather is static, no AI, water looks horrific, no night lighting on roads, flight dynamics dont look bad, Cessna 172 is the same thing as in AeroFS 1... you can watch the replays here: https://www.twitch.tv/jordankinggaming/profile

Hi guys, First off let me explain that I am in no way hostile to nor do I wish to belittle aFS. I got it on a sale for $30 several years ago and I have always found it to be fun. A little closer to the game side than many of the flight sim products but always tons of fun. With the addition of a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti to my system some months ago I can set all graphics settings to max and include two layers of very realistic looking clouds and still get frame rates averaging around 125. With response like that it gets to be very fun indeed! This aerofly FS 2.0 looks inviting but I'll worry about it when it looks to be more imminent. I have recently added th…

I bought Aerofly FS 2 on the apple App Store last night and had a decent fly. It's set in California with a very decent sized map. Tried the Cessna 172 and the 747. He main problem I have with iOS flight simulators is the controls - no yoke! But flying the Boeing on autopilot worked pretty well. Summary: good location, good planes, great interface. Not going to replace desktop simming for me, but this is the best flight experience available on a tablet. It's cheap as chips so my advice is just go out and try it yourself!

http://www.ipacs.de/forum/showthread.php/6666-New-version-or-new-update?p=29800#post29800 This post confirms that the next aeroflyFS version will include the ability to fly anywhere in the entire world, and that the flight physics will be improved. All aircraft from the first version will be included as well, but the Facebook posts also show plenty of new aircraft including jets and a helicopter. I'm very excited about this.

Received this today in an email from IPACS: What can you expect for aerofly FS ? Our next major version of aerofly FS for PC and MAC, that is targeted for release at the end of 2014, will at least feature the following things: More aircraft. Expect to see at least the same type of aircraft that are now available in our mobile version, for example Airbus A320, Boeing 747-400, KingAir C90 GTx and Beechcraft Baron 58. Navigation features like VOR and ILS. Increased system depth. Virtual cockpit interaction. Support for a larger area which means switching to a geocentric world model. Some of the aircraft of the upcoming new version are already available as Add-On aircra…
