They've made additional changes in the A321XLR which they plan to roll out to the entire A320 family at a later date:

• Status page automatically removed after 3 seconds when status normal

• Additional indications on the ECAM wheel page
• Nose gear light visual model removed, not needed since we've installed the MFRL in the wing root

I've installed the patch but haven't yet had a chance to try it out.

I fly AF4 once in a while when i want a nice relaxed easy to jump into experience and AF4 delivers.

Questions: is there a way to remove the green boxes that show your flight path?

Also, in the King Air is there a way in the pressurization panel to adjust the cabin altitude - it does not see to be functional or am i missing something? I flew the 90 & 200 for quite a few years in the real world.

Really an enjoyable sim when I don't feel like dealing with the relatively more complex msfs..

This year was no exception, and I must say AFS4 is quite impressive with all of the updates and additional planes etc.

I enjoyed several flights in stutter-free, buttery smooth, 4K (monitor, not VR) and each was very enjoyable.

Are there the usual drawbacks?  (silly clouds, no rain, no moving traffic, silly water)

But advantages, too - like downtown buildings and trees are visible and CLEAR for miles and it's all so crisp and smooth.

I had a lot of simming time today and I found myself flying AFS4 for most of it and kept RETURNING to it this go-round as those other two were annoying me in various ways.

In any case, I find I'm getting a lot more hours of entertainment out of my initial on sale outlay whenever it was.

If you own AFS4, maybe do the update and have a go at it, see what you think.

And if on the fence, at least for me not a bad purchase at all.

Is there a list published all the various commands? For example the option to have the co-pilot fly the plane has a symbol that I cannot decipher, It looks like some sort of back arrow but doesn't match any of the keys on my Turtle Beach Game Controller, nor my Turtle Beach Velocity One Throttle & Quad. As far as I can tell there doesn't seem any keyboard options.

Is there a list of controls I could refer to?

I have had to post on here because although I have registered on the Aerofly site forum my account hasn't been activated.

Long story short, I bought the thing (Aerofly FS4 + extra planes like the 737 Max) for about $50 USD and I also installed the free high-res scenery downloads for the US and Europe 1 and 2.

I think I'm in love!?

I had Aerofly FS2 in years past, and some of my "cultivation" files I somehow created (can't remember the workflow AT ALL but the younger me could do it!) are still available for download it seems.

But those are no longer needed as Aerofly now comes with nice autogen and orthos and crisp visuals on the various planes and scenery and (important for me with a potato 10900K and 3070), the darn thing is SMOOTH - no JERK....JERK....JERK from those other sims as you're on final to KSEA or KBFI in a 737 Max....just.......liquid butter smoothness and crispness.

Yes, the water (or lack thereof) looks silly.....yes, the weather/clouds are limited, as are repaints.

But for doing what I generally want a sim to do (short hops on airliners like KONT to KLAX or KSEA to KPAE within the western USA or parts of Europe), this sim is great for the price....and though I'm not a pilot it sort of "feels" like it has a good flight model too?

Probably because the flying itself is so smooth without annoying stutters.

Your mileage may vary, but I'm really enjoying this (new to me) sim.

I would greatly appreciate any opinions anyone wants to share about the simulator and what they think about it.

Questions I have:

1. How much of the world has good scenery to fly over?  I ask because I've read that the only places there are to fly with scenery is the east and west coast of the U.S. and part of Europe and that's it.  I read the rest of the world just has no scenery at all.

2. How good are the aircraft that come with the sim, including the extra aircraft DLC package sold separately on Steam?  Are they modeled well, do they look ok, do they fly well?

3. How are the physics and aircraft performance?  Do they fly realistically and by the numbers, or close to it?

4. Is engine management for the aircraft modeled?

5. Are the cockpits clickable?  I read somewhere that they are not and if that's true, that's a big dealbreaker for me.

6. What kind of navigation systems do the aircraft use?  For example, good old radio navigation, Garmin units (for smaller aircraft) or full fledged FMC's/MCDU's (for airliners) or something in between?

7. How is flight planning done in the sim?

8. Is there any 3rd party add-on freeware and payware for Aerofly FS4?  And if so, where do I find it all?

I would also very much appreciate it if anyone has anything else they would like to mention about the sim, like other features, things I might not know or have thought of or any thoughts people may have on it.  I just need to know what I'm getting with this sim and if it's worth my time and money to try it.

Yes it isn't modelling / featuring all of the stuff we already have in other flightsims, but what it does, specially regarding the "feel of flight" it does remarkably, and for me easily better than the mass use sims, specially MSFS which is nowadays my main Go-To sim ...

We're happy to announce that the A319 is now available for Aerofly FS in the Steam Beta and Android Beta!

The Airbus A319 is the third member of the A320 family and has a slightly shorter fuselage compared to the A320. Just like the A321 this aircraft comes with two engine options: the CFM56 and IAE V2500 engines, which depends on the airline livery that you select. Some liveries also have the Sharklets installed.

In terms of features the A319 is very similar to the A320 or A321 but of course this aircraft is the lightest variant of the family and has a shorter takeoff and landing distance, ideal for smaller airports.

BTW: Really enjoying my install of AEFS 4!!!

Unfortunately the suggestion at teh forum doesn't work because everytime the game restarts it resets the Vulkan parameter to "true"...

Only fix is installing an older driver 😕
