Hey all, Have you noticed the footprint of the landing lights and taxi lights for this aircraft. The look doesn't wash out the taxiway or runway, it actually lights it up the correct way. I like this style so much but I can't for the life of me figure out where this code or effect comes from. I would like to add this footprint effect to my other carenado aircraft..(ie A36 and C210). Has anyone played with this yet? If not, have any ideas on where I should start? I know that it isn't located in the [lights] section of the aircraft.cfg as that deals with the source. I thought for sure it would be in the effects section too but have had no luck finding it there…

I recently purchased the Jetprop and have read through this forum; also searched to see if anyone else had this problem. The landing gear will not extend above 130 kts. This is completely unrealistic (and the Vlo speeds do not matter). Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it? I could not find any kind of limit in the aircraft.cfg.

Came accross some RW videos from Dick Rochfort that fit nicely with this aircraft. For those that do not know who he is, he is a Master Instructor who Specializes in the PA46 series aircraft. His calm cockpit manner gives great instruction on the operation of this plane, and his videos are very educational and fun to watch. I think these videos fit nicely in aiding in correct procedure and operation of the PA46, http://www.youtube.c...g?feature=watch If this has been posted before, I apologize. :Peace:

I've found that the default 100% brightness setting is too high, and the MFD looks washed out.You can change the brightness in the MFD AUX panel.70% looks much better to my eyes, but the popup panel gets dimmed also, which I do not want. The way to go about it, is to set 70% as the default in the G500 config file, with auto to off, and to comment out the Brightness section in the G500 popup gauge. If you do not mind editing XML code, you can do this yourself. If you would like a copy of myedited files (until such time that Carenado fixes this), send me a PM with your email address.

Thanks to Apollomaker's post in the A36 forum, ATC calls my A36 a "Bonanza" now i.e. "Bonanza N9092 Tango, clear to taxi".http://forum.avsim.n...36-enthusiasts/I made the same change on my PA46T so now ATC calls me a "Malibu" using Apollomaker's tip. Thanks, AP!Bill

I've had the PA46T for months now but was put off by the lack of a tutorial and cockpit layout map. I know this topic has been talked about before. I found the documentation for the RealAir Turbine Duke to be excellent. It's a shame such a great product as Carenado's PA46T does not have something similar. I wonder if there has been any updates yet... that is has anyone developed a comprehensive tutorial for flying the PA46T?

Hi there guys! I don't like using GPS, but I'm making an exception with the Malibu. However, I don't understand why do you need 3 GPSs? And still can't get why should I use RealityXP. And also, can I make the Malibu more FPS-friendly if I take them out from the panel.cfg? (I apologize if I'm not in the correct forum) Cheers and Happy Flying! ltnicolas (Nicolás)

Hi All. I have purchased and downloaded the PA46T. When I click on the .exe and click install it asks for email and serial code, which I give. Then I click on Install and a window comes up that says it has been installed. It doesn't say where and I don't see it in Airplanes at Sim Objects. In SimObjects I see the .exe file again but the Aircraft is not installed anywhere that I can find. Ant suggestions? Dave

Hi, I've read the "overview" pdf for the PFD and it says "Vspeeds set to zero will not display". How do you set the vspeeds? Also, I would have sworn that right after purchasing this plane yesterday that I found a airspeed hold bug in the PFD. Was I just dreaming or did I just forget how to set it? Thanks Mark

I'm not a real-world pilot, so was wondering about this... I know that avionics should be switched on after engine start and generator activation to avoid power surges. But does that mean that the flight plan must always be entered on the GNS 430/530 after engine start? Is this the way it's done in real-life? BTW, I'm using the Reality XP GNS's so not using the FSX flight planner for anything else than reference. Another question regaring the same thing - do pilots have to request engine start to flight/ground controllers? If the GNS's are the only way of tuning radios, and they need to be off (along with the entire avionics bus) for engine start, how is this …

Has anyone tried the Reality XP Weather Radar Gauge in the JetProp? Will it work or will there be 2d/3d knobs all over the place? ;-) Is there some way to get a good integration of it? Oh, sorry, just discovered this thread: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/377058-wx500-retrofit-in-piper-malibu/ That might help me along a bit.

Guys, I just got a new pc and needed to reinstall my 530. I followed all the directions to reinstall. Got a new key, downloaded the file, got install complete message, clicked "Finish" and got the configuration screen. Selected the PT46, took all the defaults and applied. I did'nt get anymore prompts so closed the config app. Kicked off XP, selected the PT46 and....nothing. The standard GNS530 was still there. I've been through this process 3 times with the same result. I'm probably doing something wrong. Ideas? Thanks!!

Hi All, I love to fly the P46T but for me, it is a 'widow maker'. I have died many times now while flying this aircraft due to the power of the engine, combined with not having an audible overspeed warning. What usually happens is that I become engrossed in working with my navigational devices in an EZCA zoomed view and fail to notice the I am slowly gaining speed. I will look up and see the airspeed indicator a moment to late and before I can slow down, BAM ... I am dead from aircraft stress due to overspeed. Many of my other aircraft have an audible overspeed warning system but unfortunately a couple of my favorites don't seem to have this feature (P46T and RealAir …

I bought the Carenado P46AT and am very pleased with it. Perhaps I overbought as an beginner to intermediate FSX'er, but I love the cockpit and Garmin instruments. Anyway- I am a little embarassed to say I have not been able to successfully run through the startup and fire the engine up to fly. I suppose I am more accustomed to complete step-by-step documentation and videos for learning an aircraft, but I am a little baffled here. I know there is the checklist in the docs (Shift + 2), but identifying the switches an dprocdure is just not clear to me. I have watched repeatedly at 1080P and full screen on a 24" HD monitor and I still must be missing something. I…

Hi guys Recently I have been having trouble with getting the autopilot to follow my GPS. I get everything set up but when I press NAV, nothing happens. It works fine when I select HDG. Also, for some reason, I can have NAV and HDG selected at the same time (NAV still doesn't work however). I also have been having another issue lately to do with the PFD and my GPS units being powered regardless of the position of the battery switch or the radio master switch. Thanks, Oli.

I just installed the Realty GNS 530. This is the best thing I have added to FSX so far. Instrument flying is so much easier. Question: How do you adjust the brightness on the G500? Thanks!
