PA46T Malibu JetProp HD Series FSX | P3D

  1. Started by HawkDsl,

anyone got a fix for the ice door indicator light? There is a "closed" indicator light there (like for the oil door), but it's not working.Forgive if this was covered already... If so I missed it.

I get this rather blurry wing texture when looking out of the VC. Other planes and textures look sharp and I didn't change any texture resolution in FSX itself. So I assume that the maroon texture set is somehow blurred in that section. Can anybody confirm? Edited. Pictures are from 'blue'

I have been playing around with the various sounds on the PA46T. One of the most glaring omissions seemed to be that you could hear the sound of cabin and cargo doors open, but no sound when they closed.Looking in the Sound folder, I saw there was a wav file called "doorclose". I went and looked into the sound.cfg for the entries and saw that the Exit Close entry had been mislabeled. It showed the filename of the sound as "opendoor". I changed it to "closedoor" and adjusted the volumes a bit and now you can hear the doors open and close.By modifying your sound.cfg, you can now hear the complete door sounds. As always, make and save a copy of your sound.cfg before modifying…

I am sensing that folks are happy with the PA46T. I own the majority of Carenado's FSX AC. Was holding off for the KingAir, but, really getting the itch on this one.So, if anyone would be kind enough - a few questions: Anyone really unhappy, and care to comment why? The MFD always shows terrain on the Carenado screen shots - can it be displayed w/o topo? Is the quality of the topo ok? Rest of the G500? I like to run a Carenado 530 and a Reality XP 430 (for WAAS approaches) - anybody done this? I see some tweaks and such - anyone provide a list of the "must haves"? Thanks in advance for any help.Joe

Just wanted to say a quick thank you to all of you who've made this plane more enjoyable to fly thanks to your suggestions and mods. In particular:Bob Loblaw for taking the time to explain the basics of flying the Malibu.Bert Pieke (again!) and bliksimpie for their combined efforts in making the G500 better integrate with the RealityXP GNS's as well as better, period.CoolP for his fix for the missing clickspot on the G500.Bought the plane yesterday, got all of the various fixes and updates in place and am now in the process of trying to acclimate to the glass cockpit. I'm an analog gauges kinda guy (hate the term "steam gauges") most likely because that's what I learned…

Hi everyone,Are the lights built into the model itself... I assume? Is there a way to shorten the life of the strobe flash and increase the brightness of them on the ground reflection? The light refection on the ground seems weaker than in RL and also stays lit longer than in RL. Is there any parameters that I could ply with, providing there is an FX file to open? I would love to have the same effect as the PMDG NGX strobes at night within the VC. Any input is appreciated. Thanks. :)Best, Jeff

Hello guys,I have observe the following problem:After take off and activating the AP everything went normal but after a couple of minutes the AP and the GPS530 went back off and it looks like a reset....I have only a couple of letters in the STEC display which looks like similar a kind of reboot. I need to switch off the AP first and then need to put him back on, same with GPS530 where the screen is black just with the black screen.Any idea where the error is?Thanks in advance!CheersMark

Is the panel VC only? I was under the impression that it had 2D as well. My old eyes don't work well with VC panels. The G500 never gets past the "Initializing" stage. Map works ok but that's all. Something missing? Is the weather gauge included in the basic package or is it a separate add on or purchase. Pretty package but seems to be not well done. Reinstalled twice just in case that was the problem but no joy? Suggestions?

Okay now that I have delved into the plane I have some questions. Since there is no tutorial or systems manual, hopefully you guys can help me out...Cruise PerformanceLooking at the performance charts, they all indicate 2200 rpm. 2200 rpm is what I get when the prop level is full forward. Is that normal? If so, when would I ever do anything at all with the prop level except in an abnormal situation or when shutting engine down?Fuel Pressure:It always reads 6.0 is that normal?Flight Timer:Only one button works and all it seems to do is switch between two different times, neither of which makes sense. Any ideas, right now it says 1: 8 0 :31?Oil Door:What is it for (Cooling?…

I just transitioned from FS9 to FSX about a month ago... yeah, you heard that right. Anyway, I had the Aeroworx King Air 200 in FS9 and the PT6 modeling left a lot to be desired. I understand this was caused by limitation in FS9. I am pleasantly surprised by the PA46T's PT6 modeling in FSX. Things work right, most noticeable: 1.) pull back prop and Tq goes up; 2.) low Tq settings and the prop stays at 2400 rpm.Is this better modeling in FSX or just a nice job by the Carenado folks?James

Good morning,I was wondering if its possible to do a RNAV/GPS approach using the stock Carenado GPS installed? I know you can select some approaches using the 430 (out of date which is no problem), but how do you set the AP to continue with a selected GPS RWY28 (for example) approach?ThanksGmac

Up until now the integration of the RXP gauges has been great. Now with the JetProp the GNS430 screen is way too small for the modelled unit. The 530 is fine but the smaller 430 just looks really really bad! Is there a fix for this?Ross

Hi everyone,I just bought the Malibu and I must say she is a blast to fly! Great work Carenado!I was wondering if it is at all possible to edit one of the default liveries just to change the aircraft registration on the side? I know Carenado has provided blank textures but I don't really want to do the whole livery from scratch (I'm not skilled enough in Photoshop anyway!)Thanks.

This is probably a dumb question, but I dont see a rotaing beacon on the aircraft, I do have wing strobes and nav. lights. I always thought red beacons were required by the FAA. Set me straight fellas.

  24. I noticed that de ice, heating, ice door, have no effect on fuel consumption. There should be a consistent difference, expecially at high cold altitudes. Am I doing something wrong?Thanks.Igor.

Hi All,I'm wondering what configuration you guys go for to obtain the best possible econimical cruise.I'm currently myself doing 27000ft with 2050 RPM and about 800 Lb-ft torque.Does this seem good or do you guys use better settings? Unfortunately carenado were a little scant on the old flying manuals!Regards,James
