  1. Started by Arklight1,

I noticed that adjusting the prop level has no effect on the visiual model. The propeller starts and stops feathered. Is this normal?

So Im loving this plane so far! Absolutely excellent work by Carenado here! The plane runs flawlessly but one issue; when I want to use Reality XP's GNS 530W (installed via the CAR.XP exe) I cannot load the plane up, FSX just crashes and outputs "rxpGNS Failed to open GNS Simulation" a few times in the rxpGnsSim log.Im stumped here. Ive gotten the plane back up and running by reinstalling it again and leaving CARXP exe alone so Im stuck with the Carenado GNS.Anyone have any insight to this? I adore the GNS530W, I hate not using it!Cheers!Gordon

  4. Thanks to the help from our resident guru, Bert Pieke, I have been able to get the captain sim weather gauge to work pretty good with the cockpit model and I also now have the Carenado weather gauge modeled "OFF/STBY/TEST/ON/ knob" to work with the "captain sim weather gauge"The rest of the clickspots of the CS gauge have been moved a bit around to work with the "carenado model faceplate clickspots" as that is part and parcel of the 3d model, so what you see if the outer casing of the weather instrument with the "brain" being the "Captain sim Weather gauge/screen"Unfortunately I cannot share the Weather gauge itself as it is payware, so if you have it, you more then welco…

Since the installation of the latest update the GNS430 will not turn or pop-up when I tried. Has any one else had this issue?

I noticed the PA46T has a stray polygon that floats on the front right side of the aircraft. Just wanted to give a heads up so it can be looked at for the next patch. Here are a few pics (this is all the same polygon). My apologies if the pics are too small. My Native res. is 2560 x 1600 and I didn't want to violate any rules. I have larger pics if required:

Has anyone tried installing the RXP stec autopilot into the jetprop?I have the gauges, just curious if it would work well for a straight out replacement for the default stec autopilot?JB

  10. Hello,I just bought this beauty. While there are ;lots of .PDFs, there does not seem to be a general user manual to acquaint one with the software, panel switching, features, all the stuff, which for example, ESDG, Flight One and PMDG usually provide to acquaint you with the product and their implementation. The normal prcedures are great, if you are already familiar with the aircraft. Is there a "quick start", "tutorial first flight" or anything like these available, planned? I feel like a whiner here, have been simming for ever, mostly big complex iron.... and this "little" one is very complex and needs a bit of generic "this is how it all works" instruction. I remembe…

Hello All --- long time Carenado customer and have always had just one big frustration. The stock weather radar. It has never worked for me. In many cases, I use the RXP WX500 radar which is nicely functional.Has the radar which comes installed in the PA46T been modified to functionality similar to the WX500?There is little talk about it that I can find.Best Regards -- Beautiful job on the PA46TBob :(

In the performance section of the manual ALL the power settings are given with the rpm settings at 2200 rpm. Other turbine equipped aircraft I has used in flight sim have always reduced rpm when reaching cruise. My question is: is this particular to the PA46T or an oversight in the manual? I have used different settings in cruise and have reduced the rpm setting down to 1900 and saw no deay in flight performance and improvement in fuel burn.

Hi guysI have a question about the start up procedures in the Malibu. In the manual, in the before start section it says:Ground Clearance Switch -- onATIS -- checkStartup Clearance -- requestGround Clearance Switch -- offCould someone please explain this to me? I cant figure out how I'm supposed to tune into the ATIS frequency with no power to my GNS 430/530 (Reality XP).

I just purchased the PA46T and the G500 is non-functional. None of the soft keys work and I can't access the MFD because the ent key and the last soft key on the right don't work. Any ideas? Also the throttle on my joystick makes throttle in the aircraft jump around but always end up back at idle no matter what position the joystick throttle is located. Any help would be appreciated...thanks!

  17. Hi there, after installing the Malibu and then choosing the RXP 530/430 my 530 is broken.I installed before the service pack from Carenado. After installing the service pack I then uninstalled my Reality XP completely and installed again - the 530 is still broken. The 430 works fine however.Worst of all, the 530 is broken in every other aircraft I use. When I switch it on it starts the start sequence fine and I get to the point when the moving map display should appear. Then everything on the 530 freezes. This is what I get:Any ideas?I am kinda lost on this one.CheersA

Easily changed in the aircraft.cfg file... the names of the paint jobs do not correspond to the actual colors...Maroon / BlueandRed / Blue are all shifted around.

First of all I would like to thanks to the guys that are now supporting this forum. Man I love this plane. Anyway if I fill about 65% my tanks and I add two more passengers (180 lb each) the weight and fuel menu is warning me about the overweight (not much) but if I fill 100% the tanks and add some more pax? Are the aircraft weights ok?Thanks again,Alex

First off, I have to say hats off to Carenado. I haven't had the opportunity to test it out alot yet, but what I have been able to do, I have to say well done....espcially the night lighting in the VC.....unbelievable!I have noticed a few items; maybe its just me but wondering if anyone else is expierencing these:1) Beacon light....cant seem to find one on the model (even selecting L) or on the checklist. Been awhile since I flew IRW, but I always thought that the beacon was required for an aircraft (excluding experimental) per the FAR's anytime an engine is in operation.2) I cannot decrease/increase the VS on either the AP or the AVSS as detailed in the manual. I don't have the Jetprop yet, I'm planning to pick it up this weekend. Just a quick question for someone that might know. I have a downloaded manual for the DLX which says the green arc on the ITT gauge ends at 790deg. From the video on the Carenado site it looks like it ends at 690deg. I realize Carenado's version is the DL and not the DLX but was wondering if the ITT markings on Carenado's model are correct?

is it true that you can't go faster than 172KIAS?if so what is the point of this plane? I can faster than that in my C210, B58 and C208yes, I know there is the advantage of crusing at FL's but... I'd rather just take my PC12..

Not sure if this is correct or not, but I noticed that the fuselage says "Mirage", not "Malibu".

I find the constant "Airspace" alerts really annoying...If it bothers you enough, you can edit the G500 code to shut them off.1. Create a subfolder to your Gauges folder and call it G500_P46T.2. Unzip the G500_P46T.cab file (located in the Gauges folder) into this new subfolder.3. Edit both G500.xml and G500_3d.xml files with Wordpad or your favorite text editor.- search for <Update id="Alerts Query">- when found, bracket the section with comment signs, like so: <!-- Disable Alerts <Update id="Alerts Query"> <Script>(A:GPS POSITION LAT, Radians) (>@c:NearestAirspaceCurrentLatitude, Radians)(A:GPS POSITION LON, Radians) (>@c:NearestAirspaceCu…
