Does this switch really work? Has it ever worked? No matter if I select "auto", I still get a indication on the annunciator panel that I have a fuel imbalance, so I have to manually switch to the opposite tank.

Is it the case in RL that this aircraft's landing light(s) are located on the nose wheel and the taxi lights are located on the wings? This is backwards, to my way of thinking, yet this is what I observed last night in preparing for a night flight out of KMRY Monterey. Can someone perhaps point me to a fix that's been posted, or perhaps a correction someplace in the aircraft.cfg, please? Thanks! Stew

I get aligned properly on GPS track using heading, then click NAV on autopilot (with or without HDG mode on) and plane will not track GPS. Sometimes even circling or heading back to original airport. Am I the only one with this problem, or am I doing something wrong ? I love this aircraft, but can only follow GPS track using HDG mode. Can anyone help ? I am not a Newby. Dave Hinson Edit: Finally got AP to track GPS, but ONLY if on track and on proper heading. Looking at the AP .pdf file, I did see that AP would track GPS NAV " Once the course is caught, the AP will hold it.".So NO to intercepting GPS track when off-track. To bad, makes it complic…

Just purchased the TP46, and I cannot get this Garmin 500 to update within one minute of changing zoom levels, and the thing just flat doesn't update the screen, at all, after 30 minutes, unless you cycle the screens. Is anyone else experiencing this, or do you have a work around? On another train of thought, has anyone gotten the F1 G500 suite to mount up and fly right with this bird? I shoehorned the GTN into this bird's available screens, but I would like to know if anyone else has tried the G500 in it. I'm also getting CTD's with this plane for .dll errors. Anyone else experiencing? Thanks. Many thanks! Scott

Last week I purchased the PA46T Malibu for p3d4.4.so far, it is really a great plane...The only thing that bothered me was the lack of click-sounds in overhead buttons! For example there are nice sounds in the Carenado Saratoga II, that has a similar panel...Can someone please tell me if the malibu - click-sounds work at all in p3d4.4 !? Thanks in advance ggerolamo

Hi gang, has anyone got this mysterious patch that someone said was created, but is nowhere to be found for this plane? I just bought it on the sale, and I'd love to know if it could get better. PS, is anyone having trouble with the right display on the Garmin 500? It doesn't want to update. So far, I'm a bit underwhelmed with it (it is pretty old though). Just hoping someone had a mod to fix her up a bit. Cheers! Scott

It could fit inside the GNS530 bezel. I might attempt it if no one has yet.

The Malibu starts up with the default GPS and wants you to go to the configuration windowevery time you start up the plane, to select the RXP gauges..If you would like to make this choice permanent, this is how you do it..First of all, make sure the RXP gauges are installed and working in the Malibu. Then, create a text file with this content <Gauge Name="Control_init" Version="1.0"><!-- RXP gauges --> <Element> <Select> <Value> (L:ControlInit, bool) 1 != if{ 1 (>L:SWGPS530XPVIS,bool) 1 (>L:SWGPS430XPVIS,bool) 1 (>L:ControlInit, bool) } </Value> </Select> </Element></Gauge> call thi…

I have the Carenado PA46T JetProp which I love for its design and appealing cockpit, except it is difficult to see with plain eyes unless zooming in. Now that my CH Yoke and Saitek TQ have come out of maintenance I was taking it for a ride. I have a two monitor setup, my main 21" monitor has the main VC and I clicked on the Garmin MFD and undocked it to the secondary (lower resolution) monitor. While flying to an ILS runway I was monitoring both the MFD/GPS on the main monitor (VC) as well as the bigger MFD/GPS on the secondary monitor. At first, I noticed something strange but then I realized it was a BUG! What happens in this setup is that the MFD/GPS on the s…

Hi All. A question out of curiosity: Everywhere I read about the PA46T, the articles indicate the 46T should cruise over 200+ knots. The Carenado model over-speeds between 170 to 180. Any reason for this?? Thanks, Mike

I have posted this over at the gtn simforums but I thought I'd ask here to see if i can get any help ----- I would like to add both the GTN 750 and GTN 650 to my carenado jetprop but I have no idea how to do it. Would it be possible to remove the gns500 and replace with the gtn750 ? I know I would have to edit the panel.cfg but this is it. Any of you can help ? Thanks

Martin Wilby's review of the JetProp (Mutley's Hangar) includes the statement that "The G500 brightness and auto zoom settings reset back to default each flight. However, there is a mod available on the unofficial Carenado support forum that permanently sets the brightness to 70% and the auto zoom feature to off." Is that mod still available, and if so, where is it? Thank you! JD

I have sent Carenado 20 some emails for help. They say it will install in V3, but I am unable to get it to do so. Anyone else had any luck. these instructions from them are not valid .... no PI1300.exe file in download and this appears to be for FSX HELP! Steps for installing Carenado PA46T Malibu JetProp HD Series FSX/P3D: 1.- Unzip the downloaded file and put the "PI1300X.exe" file in the desktop. 2.- Double click on that file (it is an auto installer). 3.- When prompted for the Username and Serial, type the information provided by email or in the last screen of the purchase process. 4.- The installation should take less than a minute. Impor…

I have a rather serious issue that has arisen since installing the P46T. It seems to have killed the GNS430W by RXP. Interestingly enough, the Garmin 400W/500W trainer is still working...I have the Realair Duke and Royal Turbine conversion with a similar twin 430/530 configuration, without the ultimate crossfill package and have never had issues with it.I set up the Malibu to run both a 530 and 430 from RXP and the 430 refuses to start up properly. It always crashes when I hitz the enter key to initialize the unit, just before the default map view appears. The fequencies for COM appear but nothing else, and the unit stops working...It has affected the 430W in all aircraft…

On the virtual cockpit's main panel just underneath the top of the dashboard there is a P46T plate and right underneath it there is some sort of LCD instrument with the following buttons, some have no tooltip (if it does it is in parenthesis) and some are inoperable. What do they actually do? DTA - inop BAR ALT ALR - inop DH VS MAN - inop INC/Tenths knob (Knob AP Select) I have clicked on those in flight but did not see anything activating or changing anywhere. In fact that LCD even though it is lighted, it NEVER EVER displays ANYTHING.

Hello,I am very happy to see the P46T modeled for FSX. Graphic design is nearly perfect, 3D panel is one of the best I've seen and aerodynamics are quite near the real thing.Congratulations! You guys did a great job.But as a real world Jetprop pilot, I was very disapointed by the systems and the avionics behaviour. They are far far away from the real thing. I prepared a list of most critical items. I'm sure that those problems can be solved easely.-Condition lever: Only ON or OFF. You can't adjust the condition in the real plane.-Prop governor switch not active: when you push it @ 2000rpm, there should be a drop of about 200rpm. Made for propeller governor testing purpose…

As many of you know on the pilot's side almost obscured by the yoke there is a clock gauge. I was curious and looked it up, it turns out the gauge is the FlightCom DVR 300i clock & recorder. It records radio transmissions, useful when your mind isn't flexible enough for long clearances It also has a clock and elapsed timer that work from the moment the gauge is turned on (I think that is powered by the Avionics button?) In the PA46T from Carenado this gauge is only switching between Zulu (24 hrs format) and Local (12 hrs format) time and nothing else that I know of, a crippled gauge. For more information on its real counterpart visit http://www.manualslib.com…

There are some things I don't like about the stability of this a/c and Carenado does not seem to do anything about it. It is very difficult to get this plane stable, especially during climb. But the Autopilot is worse, it does not seem to work. 1. I clicked on the AP/FD switch until both AP and FD show as ON 2. I put the a/c on a climb to 6,000 feet and when I reach the cruise altitude I clicked on the AVSS ALT button, the LCD of the AVSS shows the ALT label. Now, it is supposed to hold the altitude it had at the moment the button was pressed (6,000 ft) but it just keeps climbing and responding to the yoke if I choose to move it. The VS also does not seem…

If you like to use the mouse wheel on the knobs, it can be distracting to have to find the exact clickspot where the hand turns to (+) or (-).I've changed the knobs so that you can use the mouse wheel anywhere on the knob (but only the mouse wheel) to turn it, and the mouse button to push it.If you are as picky as I am on this... let me know and I'll send you a copy.If not, thank the Gods, and continue to enjoy this marvelous airplane!
