Had some real problems with Pacific North West in the past month. Runways crowded with trees and houses at KSEA and overall, a bad experience. Have re-installed FSX twice in the last week and NOW I've installed Globel, Vector, and other addons with NO problem whatsoever. NOW, I'd like to re-install PNW but I'm really afraid to do it. I've installed by the book with libraries after all installs, and re-starting the computer frequently during reinstalls. How can I be assured of a clean PNW reinstall? I used to love this area to fly in, and I miss it. Any ideas? AND if it doesn't work, can I uninstall just that region? Stan

Hello. I would ask this question at ORBX forum, but currently unable as site is down at this time. I intend to purchase the FTX Open LC NA and will be keeping my UTX USA and Tropics installed as I prefer this over the ORBX Vector application. For any new owners of the FTX Open LC NA released today, are there any instructions (owners manual) regarding conflicts between UTX landclass and the new FTX product.? I think the solution may be to just launch the UTX configurator and UNCHECK all LANDCLASS entries, but was hoping to receive some confirmation. Thanks for your assistance :smile:

I have used the Generation X UK photoscenery for years with FSX and also fairly recently became a Revolution X fan. Needless to say when I migrated to p3d I wanted to continue using them. So far I've managed to get the gen x stuff working, but not Rev X. I've heard various tales about installing the Gen X scenery in p3d. Some said you can use a migration tool and install as if it's in FSX. I couldn't get that to work. Some said that you could use p3ds scenery screen to manually mount the scenery specifying the folder containing the scenery files eg. Volume1. I installed Real Duke for P3D couple of weeks back and I could not see the aicraft and then Elaine helped me to manually add those entries and I could see and I started flying it. But I had not installed the F1 GTN750 at that time so I now installed the F1 GTN750 and tried to configure that to the Real air duke V2 and noticed something wierd I have the real air menu option for the duke under P3D V2 and not under V3. Simobject folder too shows it as P3D V2 not V3. anyhoo, I used the Real air Duke V2 to assign the F1 GTN750 to it But when I load the real air aircraft in my sim, F1 GTN750 gives me an error saying that the GTN that I have is only for V P3D…

More than not I use the sim in sync with current GMT which ever part of the globe I may. Except for the time zone inaccuracies which were corrected by some free fixes, I liked the way FSX handled timezones - it preserved the GMT when changing location, whether it be at startup screen or in sim change of location. I had a local airport flight set in as default with fsx set to take system time and didn't need to touch the time setting after that. But I am confused about how LM intends the user to use the time setting in p3d - at first the startup screen would preserve the local time which I found quiet unsettling and thought was a bug, then they did this in sim too. Hi gents! Suddenly, I can't lock fps externally anymore. I mean, using NI or Dxtory or MSI Afterburner limiters doesn't work. No frame display and no fps limitation!! I don't remember making any changes in Win10 recently so I am completely clueless. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I have p3d verision 3.3.5 And on final in the pmdg 737 I getting stutters. It's very annoying. What causes the stutters? I installed p3d v3.3.5 for a few weeks ago and not a ploblem at all but suddenly I have stutters on final. I5 4460 3.2-3.4 ghz GTX 750 2gb 8gb RAM 1TB HDD ORBX textures PMDG

I recently started using P3D and I've reached thestage where I'm wanting to start migrating my FSX scenery to P3D. I have come across a very basic problem, but one that has me stumped. I installed the Fly Tampa Hong Kong airport/city add-on. Then went to the Scenery Library to add it in. Browsed to find it and selected. It appears nicely in the library. There's only one problem, the OK button to confirm and exit the library is off the bottom of the screen ao the only way back to the main window is to press esc which loses the changes. I've tried a variety of different graphics setting but none make the situation any better. Does anyone have any suggestions…

Most of my jetways at payware airports are either 10-30 feet from the terminal or they are inside the terminal. V3.3.5 Possible culprits: FTX Central 2 (the migration thing) FSX/P3D Navaids Update Hopefully this is a common problem with an easy fix!

Does anyone know if there is a list of P3D graphics settings that explains a specific feature being either GPU or CPU driven/limited. i.e. If I move the vegetation slider full right, that affects GPU performance. I do have an idea of some, but I would like to be able to tweak my settings for my GTX 1080.

Hello all, I'm running into a bit of problem that I have been attempting to troubleshoot. Is anyone having an issue with the product stuttering a few minutes of being loaded in the simulator. As soon as a switch on the autopilot it stops stuttering, but while on approach and disengaging the autopilot back to 8 FPS, and so on. I have it installed under the migration tool, the aircraft manager works well too. Thanks, Ryan.

I posted on the ORBX forum without any response, so I thought I'll try it here; I started having some massive frame rate drops in specific areas I was attributing it to possibly settings or other reasons until I've noticed that that drop has happened in a faraway place, where scenery in intensity was very light. I normally run 30 frames locked and throughout the scenery it will hold. Over these areas I will get massive drops Down to 15 and lower. At first I thought I had some custom scenery that is corrupted. Hi, I have installed OpenLC NA. Do I still need the NA regions, like GoldCRM, BluePNW, Blue NRM, etc or is OpenLC sufficient now?

I just downloaded P3D last night - wow... night and day from FSX. I am just running it stock and have not gotten around to adding any of the extras yet - ASN, REX etc. All I have added thus far is UK2000 Heathrow, Aerosoft A319 and some World of AI traffic to get a feel for it compared to FSX. With FSX I was getting 8-10 fps when taxing around Heathrow - basically a slide-show. And I consider I have an ok computer too. With P3D it is so much smoother and crisp. I am getting almost 20 fps around the airport which is great. Also the AI aircraft is so much better looking and there are no jagged edges or blurred lines in the virtual cockpit. Hi, The latest update has caused elevation problems with the Channel Island airports, which can not be corrected with the Vector elevation configurator, this is in FSX. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Regards Mike

After the flurry of 'frustrated downloader' posts yesterday it would now seem that the forums have gone rather quiet? I have seen Rob's excellent video (but he doesn't really count because he is an ex-Brit :wink: ). Before melting the card (yet again), It would be really interesting to get a proper perspective and thoughts from some of you veteran/native US fliers as to what Orbx have managed to achieve with this remarkably ambitious package?

Hello Fellow Simmers; Every time I exit P3D v3.2 I get the following error "There was a problem starting E:/P3D/Lockheed. The specific module could not be found" has anyone here experienced this error before? Any way to fix it? This error only pops-up after p3d has been closed. You help and support is much appreciated. Hi everyone, I will be purchasing a new PC and have decided to migrate to P3D vs. FSX as my flight sim (i currently use FS9 on my old PC). The new PC will be Windows 10 and will have a 256MB SSD and a 1TB mechanical drive.
