During the course of AI flight planning I have noticed that the Local time offset from UTC is incorrect. Excluding the effect of daylight saving the local time in NZ is 12 hrs ahead of UTC whereas in the sim it is only 11 hours. Is there any way of adjusting this or do I have to resort to using something like FS real time?

Several weeks ago I installed FSX Steam. With all the addons these days a reinstall is like putting an engine back together after tearing it apart. One of the last things I did was reinstall my FTX Globel which worked fine but then Vector. With Steam I could not get the Vector configuration tool to come up so I could not run the airport elevation correction tool. With all the addon airports I have, boy did it screw up my sim. In frustration I did an uninstall,reinstall of FSX Steam again which takes days. After buying the North American land class I wish I could use my FTX Vector but I fear a repeat of the last fiery trial would lead me to desperation. Is there a way to …

I would just share a short observation regarding one or SLI setup. I have being going to 4K@30Hz from 1080P@60Hz lately. 75% of my flights is done with tubes and SLI is not happy with undocked panels so its a no go. it is not that hard to find some settings in single card that gives a good performance. I actually find single card to be more stutter free. SLI really needs stable vsync fps on my system. So SLI is only for VFR around areas not that populated. I'm curious, I have a hat switch on my flight stick, would I be able to somehow configure it to move my character around the virtual world? If so how? I am using EZDOK btw.

With beginning of the new year I was wondering if anyone would like to contribute to this list for known releases this year so that we can look forward to further enhancement of our flight sim experience. I have started it in Prepar3D, mainly because it's the new kid on the block, but it's open to ALL flight sim platforms for ANY addon To start, this is what I know is coming. And I don't mean the peripheral itself is disconnected. All the buttons on my CH throttle still operate in the sim. But the throttle axis does not respond, AND I cannot manipulate throttles with the mouse either - they won't budge. In the controls screen, the throttle axis does show movement. Has anyone seen this issue?

Hi Most aircraft on my P3D have began to not respond properly in a turn, except for the Aerosoft Airbus. My most commonly used addon, the NGX, has started the unwanted trend in my addon collection. Up and Down movements are perfect, but when in a turn, all hell breaks loose. The aircraft banks to how you want it to with no stuttering, delay or lag but doesnt begin to change its direct in the turn for a good 5/6 seconds. It's like turning the steering wheel in a car but the car doesn't turn until after a few seconds. Once the initial 5/6 have passed, the aircraft then shoots into the right direction like it is in slew mode. It's the most frustrating thing ever, especia…

Hello guys, I am having a little problem. Ground textures are loading very slowly when in VC. When I switch to outside view, they will load within few seconds. Does anyone know, what to do with it? I have P3D V3.2, FTX Global, FTX Vector, FTX OpenLC Europe. The only tweak I have used is Affinity mask to 254 Specs i7 3770K OCed to 4.3 GHz 16GB RAM Nvidia GTX980 Here how it looks like. Ok, so I just joined a part 141 flight school to wrap up my instrument license and I have been flying a 172R so I thought it would be a good idea to get A2As 172R cause everyone's crazy about it. I jump in the plane on the sim and nothing works. I go into the maintenance hangar and everything is broken and I can't fix anything. Some people have had the same problem and they all say the solution is installing simconnect. I honestly have no clue what simconnect is or how to install it! Not sure, but I am using REX 4 TD for my runway lighting replacement. But I heard that 3rd party airport developers use their own custom lighting. This makes runway lighting very inconsistent. I find some airports are very bright, and others, very dim. Some have big orbs, some small. Is there a way to unify the runway lighting so that it will match better at night? It get's confusing because I remember that OrbX use to have their own light configuration tool, which I don't see anymore since the latest FTX Central 2 came out. Is there a way or tool to adjust night lighting texture, color and size with the new openLC North America?

I'm using P3D V3.3 and recently i've been getting this error that this person has reported on ezdok beta forum http://www.simforums.com/forums/daaf537f-warning_topic56158_page1.html Kevin and i have absolutely tried everything he has recommended a complete reinstall of P3D but before i go ahead has anyone got that error before? I'm looking for anything really to try before killing P3D and starting over again. Thankyou

It's been over a month now and I am going to give P3D/Orbx one more shot. I have FS2004 pretty much where I want it now so I am ready to try Orbx once again. This time I'm doing it differently. Instead of reinstalling from my backup files I am going download each scenery fresh from the Flightsim Store. I figure I can download one or two regions overnight and install them in the morning and check them out. If all goes well I'll download another one or two. I own them all except the new LCNA. I'll hold off on buying that until I have everything else up and working. Not getting greedy this time around. Just sticking to North America. Wish me luck. Noel

I'm having a new issue.. i have a mostly clean install of P3D V3.3.. when I launch a previously saved flight (p3dv2 or earlier) flt file.. or even a newer save from 3.3, an fxml.. prepar3d will start to load then crash. The event viewer shows KERNELBASE.dll as the fault with exception code 0xc0020001 If i launch prepar3d from its normal shortcut then from the saved flight menu, launch the same flight.. no issue.. If i set prepar3d.exe to be run as admin.. then launch the same file off the hard drive it works. I know many say you need to run as admin, but frankly I ran for years with 3.2 and below with no issues such as this.. usually by setting ownership…

I ordered v3 last week, I do not have any of the previous versions. It looks great and my computer handles it very well. I have turned airliner traffic up to 70 and still do not see any traffic on the ground at most airports, also see little in the skies. Does anyone make an add on yet like Ultimate Traffic or something similar? Also, the P3D website says there should be 40 high detail cities. I only see 13 in my scenery\cities folder. Norfolk is not there even though their website shows a high detail Norfolk in the screenshot gallery. I also saw a list recently that said Houston should be a high detail city. I've noticed this in FSX and also in the latest P3D as well. When I'm flying, I notice that certain tiles or areas will seem to change or load. It's weird. I'm not sure if this is due to me having everything installed on an HDD. Could someone tell me if they see this sort of behavior on an SSD? I already tried defragging my HDD to see if it would fix the problem, but it's still there. Kind of annoying to see the ground textures changing like this when flying. What is going on?

Hi. When I load my flight it starts with the view inside the cockpit. when I touch any button it goes to the outside view. No matter what button I push. wondering if anyone else has this problem and what I can do to stop this. I fly mostly PMDG 777 with high detail scenery so VAS is a high concern. when it goes to the outside view my VAS increases and seems to never come down to where it was before the outside view pops up. this happens only once and when I first start the sim. So I recenly purchased Pro ATC X installed it and I attempted to edit some of the settings and I get these errors http://prntscr.com/c29jsx and http://prntscr.com/c29k0m . I attempted to uninstall and reinstall Pro ATC X, didn't fix it. I tried running it as admin and checked my UAC slider was all the way down, that did noting and now I am lost. I contacted support this was his response: I apologise if this isn't the right area to post this but Avsim does not have a support area for pointsoft issues and pointsoft's forums are confusing and appear to have no support area.
