I've looked all over and cannot find anything regarding this error in the SceneryConfigEditor: As you can see, some are okay. All of the scenery works perfectly. I have a feeling this is a Java issue (although I have the latest issued). Thanks for any suggestions on how to fix this! Man must have perfection.... EDIT: Forgot to mention I have manually linked them but after a flight or I move scenery around, it goes back to this. Best regards, Jim

Hi - Could anyone give me some up to date insights on why I might choose Taburet vs Night Environment to spruce up my night flying on P3D v3.2? I see lots of commentary and videos about how nice NE is, but Taburet seems to have far far more coverage available. That aside, say you were choosing a region that is covered by both. Does anyone have any comments either way on why/what they prefer? Thank you in advance for anything you care to share!

Morning all, I've recently jumped on the Xplane wagon after the FF767 was released and I still fly in P3dV3 a lot to but one thing that has really caught me attention is the the way the landing lights react with the in sim clouds. In Xplane flying through clouds the lights reflect off them and look great as you're flying through them on approach, I initially thought I was having monitor issues and than common sense kicked in lol And it's left me wondering why this can't be achieved in P3D with it's volumetric weather and all this new AS16/cloud art and equivalent Hifi products?? Would it be down to the plane developer? Cheers Josh

Hello All. For various reasons I have been away from flight simming for a number of years, it was something I really enjoyed, I am looking to get back into it but have found a new player in Prepar3D. When I was last involved Orbx FSX was doing well and the scenery was beautiful. Is Prepar3D in competition with Orbx FSX? If I bought Prepar3D is it a sim in it's own right, and I can still get most of the planes and beautiful scenery as in Orbx FSX. Regards all. Jim

Does this trick still work with P3D3.3? If I fly in the US is there value in deactivating all of my installed european scenery (or US scenery outside of my FROM/TO airports) to save VAS or have things moved on ? One of the earlier versions of P3Dv3 was good at offloading unused scenery, but the later versions don't seem to have followed through with that. Just checking how best to avoid crashes - outside of sensible settings. thanks

I'm currently running P3D 3.0 also using Flyinside for the oculus rift. I was wondering if this version upgrade is worth the bother of re-installing everything? Are there any major feature/performance benefits that I'm missing out on?

I have been following Poppet's lesson of installing a2a aircraft into p3d. It all went well until I had to rename a file Microsoft Games, it would not allow it because I have FSX installed.I wonder if there is a way around this.

To all seasoned Flight Simmers - before I start I know all systems behave differently and a lot depends on your system make-up, add-ons, where you fly etc. I recently upgraded my GPU to an OC'd GTX-1070 G1 (previously a GTX-670) and want to more fully understand which settings in P3Dv3.3 are more CPU intensive vs. GPU intensive as a rule of thumb. Is there a good guideline for each of the settings that is easy to read and understand? Hello, Can anyone suggest a good AI traffic program for P3D v3 that does not kill frames, works well in P3D and with vPilot? I also prefer to stay away from a long, tedious, and complicated installation process as well. I used WOAI for awhile, however it is a native FS9 and FSX program and the liveries are a bit outdated. I'm looking for LPFR, LPPT, LGRP and GCTS for P3D V3. I've had a good look but found nothing and i'm not interested in FSX versions and messing up my P3D. Anyone know if these will be released in the future

EZDOK is so vexing sometimes... It was all working fine..and suddenly the GO TO VC is not working. I set up a camera of my own called VC (This is my default view) ITt' in VC with proper ht and so on. and I assigned a button on my yoke to this view..so no matter where I am, I can click on this button and have my PIC VC view. now when I am in spot view and I click on this button , it doesn't take me to the VC view any more. when I did shift-D and click on the camera "VC", it doesn't take me to the view either (so its not a button assignment issue) But If I do the keyboard button ""S" 3 times, it takes me to the VC view. It has messed up this thing…

Basically the title says it all.I'm trying to get the most realism out of my sim (P3DV3.3) and don't know which to go for. Any recommendations are welcome and are greatly appreciated! (I fly both tubeliners and GA aircraft)

So I am 7 hours in to a 12 hour flight with the PMDG 777. My VAS is at 2278 or 57% I am thinking my system does not have OOM issues. I started out with 2264 and 55% Going to purchase an external HD and copy my files then spend another 20 hours trying to get this $1000 investment working as consistent as my older $600 machine. I am thinking about reinstalling Windows 10 . Basically starting all over again, perhaps rolling back to Win7 . Tired of dll crashes and unexplained CTDS. What are your thoughts? Randy

Hi. I don't know if this is the correct place to post this but as I'm using P3D I picked here so apologies if it's wrong. When flight planning with Aivlasoft or Route Finder etc I often see [dst] or other things in square brackets. What does this mean? I've tried searching but I can't find an answer! Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks

Noticed something strange after installing REX 4 normal clouds in P3Dv3.3. It looks like a mix of normal and soft clouds: I installed soft clouds just before, but normally, by installing another cloud set they're supposed to be overwritten or am I wrong?? EDIT: This seems to be set-specific if I'm not mistaken. I installed another one (no soft clouds) and it doesn't show these fluffy clouds.

Good day, just a question to those who own a gsync Monitor. Was thinking of buying one in order to get rid of all those microstutters in p3d. Thanks for any comments on this and if it is working well with P3D. Carsten

I've actually done a full fledge flight using ATC extensively for the very 1st time using Pro-ATC/X. I did a test flight in the PMDG 777 from KIAH to KLAS. Using FS2Crew/RAAS as well, and the experience was amazing. It really made the flying so much more satisfying. It seems to me that with this add-on, the co-pilot really handle pretty much everything, even capturing the localizer and glideslope, to extending flaps all the way down and all. I'm not sure if it can handle vectors in my flight plan though, I had one at the end before lining up for approach, and all it did was said I'm cleared for the next waypoint and to head a certain direction. Back in April 2013 when the Narvik developer introduced his ENNK project, he detailed a sloped runway: http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/sloped-runway.425635/ In 2014 even John Venema, the ORBX CEO, commented on this project's sloped runway. Various screenshots followed detailing the development with the airport's sloped runway. I haven't seen any recent screenshots here either before or after yesterday's release of Narvik showing any sloped runway. Did the Narvik sloped runway get cancelled or is this an option that nobody has turned on in their ENNK control panel? I ask as I was really looking forward to a bit more…

So I'm currently on P3D v3.2.2 can I update to the latest version from my current version without having to uninstall everything and reinstall all my addons? I really don't have time to reinstall everything and I just bought the new Active Sky 2016 and it says I need to update to the latest version of P3D in order to use it.

Hi all, I've been trying to figure out this gremlin for a while, but still not getting any luck. With the addition of the FTX NA Global Airport Pack (Freeware) the airports are updated but there is an issue with the placement of the trees, as shown in the picture below. The airport is CYXE. I have tried removing FTX Vector, reorganizing the Scenery Library and updating the ORBX Library, but i'm still not getting any luck. With the FTX airport pack removed, the scenery returns to deafult with no issues. So i'm confused about how to solve it without using the Lumberjack tool. The past few days I've seen flocks of birds flying overhead while I was on the ramp, and yesterday on a flight over the AZ / Cali desert I looked down and saw black dots over a dry lake bed. When I zoomed in they were vultures or raptors circling. I don't recall seeing these before in P3D. Are they because I turned my special effects all the way up, or did they come with ORBX Vector or OpenLC NA? They're very realistic and cool ...
