I fly with the vive almist exclusively, but i find myself dreading to fly at night because of the unnaturally big and bright night lighting especially on airports (roads etc is ok i guess). Im also using rex texture direct. There is a test version of lights for triplehead2go included with it to reduce light size, but i dont feel it helps. Is there a way for me to fix this issue that will also alloe me to fly on a normal monitor with current lights? Like a toggle of some sort?

SCREENSHOT: http://imgur.com/1wCTYvk I use ORBX FTX Global, reinstalled it several times already, always get the same result. I also use UTX Europe, but these glitches are all over the world. In Europe the textures seem to be less 'glitchy' patches like in the screenshot but more different sorts of city/rural textures mixed together even though they don't fit together. For some reason I have a feeling my ORBX is forcing textures into my sim twice, but my FTX Central settings are all good. Could I delete some .cfg files or texture databases or registry entries to fix this? I really don't want to reinstall FSX completely. Also: since this started happening my g…

Im so confused when reading about the different addons out there. I've been looking at AI Flight Planner V2, but i really dont understand it. So im gonna ask here what i should go for. I want the addon to have little impact on FPS as possible, easy to set up, and need to work with payware airport. I also want the latest traffic schedules for Europe. Is there any options out there?

Anyone got a good 777 tutorial? I've watched Belynz, but it didn't explain very much.

When I download OrbxFTXIRLPatch001.zip (Service Pack 005) from the Orbx/England updates I'm getting a file is invalid message. Is it just me or is the file corrupt?

I'm experiencing a random issue.. Ill load a flight from file.. sometimes this occurs and sometimes it doesnt.. but more often than not, just after resetting the flight, it will go through the terrain loading, get to the end.. then go black and stay black. basically a not respoinding state as far as i can tell.. i've tried testing this with barely any addons except ftx regions running as well as eliminating most dll.xml entries to rule that out.. best i can guess is that maybe its something with the saved flight.. ill test more with non saved flights and see if this repeats. I have to kill the p3d process /window and start again. I also randomly get an ntdll.dll…

Hi everyone I'd like to install an airliner such as a Boeing 737/757 or 767 into Prepar3D v2.3 and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on which 'freeware' aircraft work well ... I was going to install my FSX back onto my system with the migration tool which automatically ports all the aircraft into P3D but if I can get away without doing that I'd be pleased Thanking you in advance Paul

Not sure if I notice this correctly, but the problem seems to exists only with the Aerosoft Airbus. When switching from internal to external views. For example when I am in EZdok's virtual cockpit view which I have assigned as SHIFT+F1, and then I switch to the external left wing view which I have set to SHIFT+F6. It will take my to the COCKPIT VIEW: OVERHEAD PANEL. So I hit SHIFT+F6 again and it will finally take me to EZDok's external left wing view which I have set. Not sure why it's behaving like this. Why does pressing SHIFT+F6 take me to COCKPIT VIEW: OVERHEAD PANEL? I don't have this hotkey set anywere. I'm wondering if this problem relates to the Aerosoft air…

Nearly perfect timing for me (for once) decided to pick up ASCA from FSPilotshop and found it was reduced - as are full and upgraded versions of AS16. Looks like it is at the other resellers as well, so if anyone is interested you could save 30% ..... G

Hey guys, So just wanted to know your thoughts, within P3D what are the best tweaks / settings used to crisp up the textures and reduce the blurries but yet get good performance, or is it better to just leave everything default and not edit anything ? Keen to hear your thoughts.

Hi all, I hope this isn't a redundant question, but after doing a thorough search I still haven't found a clear answer-- what is the best add on traffic to use for those of us on vpilot/vatsim/p3d v3? I'm not looking for anything too detailed, I just want one that covers a majority of the airlines, and is not a pain to install and model match. Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers, HM

Does anyone know why are those lights like that? It only happens at night, but not all airports have this issue. It happened after I installed Ultimate Realism Pack v0.9. Does anyone know how to fix them? PIC:

I want to install FSDT CYVR and Orbxsim Kelowna. The Kelowna install has an option for Orbx integration. I know this has been asked before but i can's find it--what do I set FTX Central to before I instlall the addons? And is this a hard rule applicable to all sceneries? Thanks in advance. Has anyone tried the Toposim terrain mesh packages available on Sim Market? In particular I am looking at their Africa packages. I tried emailing them but no answer after several days. Curious to know the quality. Website screenshots are not really informative. For example, would like to see what their rendition of Table Mountain in Cape Town looks like. Both FSX and P3D really come up short in Africa. Any other ther good quality mesh packages I should consider? Thanks.

Hi guys, recently got p3d v3 and am noticing that when panning, as soon as a cloud goes offscreen, the associated shadow vanishes, this can be pretty jarring. any ideas on how to resolve this? Cheers!

I reported about his issue in LHSimulations forum back when I was running P3Dv2 and just noticed the problem is still the same in P3Dv3. What happens is that whenever I get close to the airport I get rather severe stutters lasting for a split second every 10-15 seconds or so. This makes it quite hard to land when the simulator almost freezes every now on then on short final. Last time I reported about this issue over in LHSim's forums I was told to move all land traffic sliders (cars on the roads) in P3D to 0% and doing this did fix the problem but I don't see this as a real solution since I do like to have some cars on the roads making the world feel a bit more a…

Ok bit annoyed because i wrote a post and accidentally closed tab so have to start again. I fly only on VATSIM and all sorts of aircraft but for private jet's just the flight 1 mustang which is good but the eaglesoft new aircraft are in development meaning for a modern jet Carenado is left but i'm of the opinion that it's either a nesccsity or highly recommended to use the GTN 750 so i have a few questions. The GTN 750 itself 1. Safe Taxi is not available in Europe? 2. Can the data be updated via Navigraph? 3. I thought it might be a good idea to start a AVSIM Prepar3D Guide discussion topic in which you can post questions, remarks, tips, etc. concerning the guide. I also thought about this because I had a question about the calibration information. I noticed it is adviced to set the null zone to the lowest setting 1. Now when I do this for my joystick my yoke moves almost all the time, specially to the right. To get rid of this I had to set the null zone to 25 (!). I wonder if I should recalibrate with the null zone at 25...? Or should you always recalibrate with the null zone at 1 and then change settings to whatever is needed to prevent pulling? Does it make a difference…
