Hey guys. I am getting a new SSD, and I figured it would be easier to ask if there are any add-on developers that would NOT honor a second installation of their product(s) on another SSD. So far I know: PMDG and ORBX have license information saved in the registry FSDT has an in-game unlicensing Aerosoft, DD, and FlyTampa have no licensing issues. Are there notable add-on developers that would force me to make another purchase when installing P3D to a new SSD? Does anyone know the verdict on LatinVFR and TropicalSim regarding the matter? Thank you.

or others: I would like to update to 3.4 (from 3.35) on a new (different) hard drive. Are there problems with this? Can I only do client, or does drive change require a complete uninstall, reinstall? Thanks for any help. Don

Hey guys, So When Im flying from KLAX (FSDT) using the PMDG 737 with scenery LOD at ultra, but Autogen is on normal in 4K resolution while the texture resolution within the sim is 1024x1024, I only get around 25FPS.. does that make sense ? could someone with a similar machine could confirm this ? Please help, I've spend so much money on this darn machine only to be disappointed :( Thank you Paul.

Running P3D v3.2.3.16769 with ORBX global base and ORBX Vector. Landed at WSSS (Changi, Singapore ) today and voila there are no taxiways, just lights for same and of course the runway is there. Any ideas? Sliders are full to the right (GTX Titan X). Jim

Hey, Very grateful for Rob for posting his guide. Now I am confused about this setting. The guide says if this setting should be 0. Would that not mean the setting is deactive and the system won't offload the textures. If I do 1, that should enable it based on what all other settings do. To enable a setting in prepar3d.cfg - it is set to 1 and to disable it is set to 0. I did a very quick test. If I leave it to 0, then my VAS on initial flight stayed the same. but when I did 1, I did lose like 300MB of VAS. I didn't test further then just seeing the vas difference but I am hoping someone else tried the settings out. For example in the guide about enabl…

Hi I fly the AS airbus a lot and recently my landing rates have been below average (-300, once -413 when I floated it). I'm really picky when it comes to landing rates and I want the combination of landing in the touchdown zone and a smooth V/S. I've heard the phrase 'A good landing's a one you can walk away from' but I want to go a bit further and make, imo, 'smooth landings'. The way I'd like to practise is to not just do flights and then mess up the landing. I'd like to do what real Level-D sims do. So, I had to RMA a motherboard on my build. I replaced it with an ASUS X-99A USB 3.1 board to fit my Broadwell i7-6800K. Fry's something I've wanted on promo-code and I figured 'why not give it a shot?' It has been the biggest improvement I have ever seen in my years of simming (FS4 user here). The 256GB Samsung 950 Pro going through a PCI-Express slot. Fresh install of Windows and Prepar3D with ORBX LC, ORBX Vector, ORBX Regions and F1 King Air 200. OH MY GOD what an improvement. Stutters are gone. I am running autogen on extremely dense. STILL NO STUTTERS. Default flight loads in around 6 seconds. I havent touched the Prepar3D.cfg file. Anyone else found …

Hi All, Today I made the jump to P3D from 15 years of MSFS. I'm currently FSX classic and over the time I've bought a mass of addons. My question is, is there anyway to migrate my current fsx setup into P3D? I've seen a tool online http://www.flightsim.ee/products/migration-tool but don't want to try anything in case it destroys my fsx before I'm setup on P3d. So is it a start from scratch and get back to installing for hours at end or can it be done?

Hello i am considering buying P3D for my new PC. Can anyone tell me if there are P3D addons available as much as FSX and do FSX addons work with P3D ? Are they as easy to install ? When PD is updated do the addons still work ? I'm sure i saw on Orb X website the software doesn't work with P3D v 3.3 I really don't know anything about P3D but it looks great but i'm not sure whether just to stick with FSX. Right now, I'm in pause to post, but am flying around (Ketchikan), Alaska in v2.4 Gotta tell ya...water depiction in v3.4.9 (IMHO) is way inferior, compared to depiction in v2.4. at anything over 1,000 feet AGL. In fact, I think that v2.4 and/or v2.5 has the best rendering of ocean, lake, and river water depiction, in any P3D versions. Cheers,

Hi everyone I have an issue with ORBX OpenLC Europe & OpenLC North America in FSX. I have had both FTX Global Base & FTX Global Vector for several years with no problem. Last week I decided to install ORBX OpenLC Europe & OpenLC North America but there were problems with both of them. When I install each of those OpenLCs and apply it in FTX Central 2 , everything is ok in FSX but after installation of the other ( no matter which one) my ground texture in any airport outside of Europe and North America is deformed in many ways including water bodies in places where should not be. Hi guys. I try mamy times to have a smooth as my X-Plane 10 P3D but never achieved the objective. Recently i upgraded to a 1070 and a 24' Gsync monitor. The other specs in my signature. 2600k 4,6Ghz HT Off and dedicated SSD. Many many tests with in game settings but always results in a non smooth sim at all even with good FPS. I have a very smooth sim with default ac and scenery and about 100Fps. Gsync works very well. But when i load an Aerosoft airport and PMDG 777 it have micro stuttering always. It have about 40Fps on ground but with some drops below 30. I tested many many setups but can't have smooth as silk. Now i have NI only for SGSS 4x. N…

Pete Dowson, author of FSUIPC, has released a new FSUIPC.DLL to handle the latest Prepar3D release. The newest build is 4.957. If you have used FSUIPC to calibrate your controllers, or if you have other 3rd party products (example Sim-Avionics by FlightDeckSolutions) installed, you definitely will need to download the latest version, unzip it, and drop the NEW FSUIPC.DLL into your MODULES folder in Prepar3D, overwriting your old one. You CANNOT keep the old version in your modules folder, you CANNOT just rename it FSUIPC.OLD or something, it will conflict with the new DLL and cause problems!! Hello Guys, I have finally found a tool that works with Prepar3D to minimize the ooms. This tool is called texture optimiser, for the very first time last night i was able to test it and i was shocked. I was able to do a full flight from Boston Logan, to Flytampa Cyyz with everything ticked & no OOM! not to mention this was also in the pmdg 777-300. If you use this tool, i promise there is no visual quality lost. It's also improved the frames somehow. Wayne George

Hi! I just reinstalled FTX Global and Europe openLC. When i run MigrationTroubleshooter it says "FTX Global MISSING FILES". I reinstalled yesterday so i dont know why it says that. What should i do? Also, im trying to run both FTXConfigurator and FTXConfigurator_OLC located in Scripts folder inside the ORBX folder, but none of them will start. Is that normal?

Hi Guys, I just updated the P3d from 3.3 to 3.4 by Uninstalling the Client, Scenery and Content but im unable to get my HOTAS working. Tried rebooting may times and also remove the USB and reinsert into the hub but to no avail. Its working on DCS without any issues. Anyone faces the same issues or any suggestions on how to resolve this pls. Regards

I have a powerful PC and a good video card. i7-6700K 4.5Ghz and GTX1070 and not extreme settings in P3D either. But I am unable to fly around EGLL without OOMs and bad FPS. PMDG 777 This is what I had. VFR Horizon photoscenery for the south of UK.
