Hi, I've done an extensive search but can't find a solution to this problem. How do I stop the sound from pausing when clicking a window on a 2nd monitor with P3D running on the primary display. When I click back on the primary monitor the sounds starts again. I've stoping the simulator pausing on a task switch which is working fine but can't find an option to stop the sound pausing.

Hi, I'm running an Acer T232HL touch monitor as a 2nd monitor plugged into a Geforce 1080 card on a PC running Windows 10. After a LOT of research and mucking about I have it all working fine as a secondary display with touch except for a final annoying problem. Under windows I can move a window onto the 2nd monitor fine and all works as it should. When running P3D (in either windowed or full screen mode) I can't drag a gauge onto the 2nd monitor. It moves from the primary display but doesn't appear on the secondary display. The mouse moves onto the secondary display but I can't get the gauge to move onto it. The secondary display is not blacked out …

I was going to buy this. $40.xx ?!?!?!??! For a single, very small airport footprint? This used to be the asking price for a fat region, (and not too long ago, at that...) covering thousands of sq. miles. ORBX titles have become singularly, and simply, expensive. Pass, I guess this is now ORBX, and I guess, that I will be happy with what I have already bought in their catalog.

I ran into this the other day.. i booted up a test flight and had this in the image: I should have just closed it down and verified if it was present in all of windows 10, but i didnt.. i just killed p3d and reopened it, second run it was fine. I think given that i was able to screen shot this, it is probably NOT video card hardware related? Throwing this out there in case anyone else has seen it. Thanks

Just reinstalled UK 2000 Edinburgh today and noticed that aircraft doesn't cast shadows on the ground, has anyone noticed this?

For some reason I can't seem to get P3D to start the scenario at the computer system time, its always 8am, summer, at the default airport. thanks,

I currently have the current versions of UTX Canada, UTX USA and GEX North America on my system. I am considering investing in ORBX Global Base and ORBX Global Vector. Having these, can I get rid of UTX and GEX? Will I need any additional applications, like ORBX Global open LC? Do these products address mesh for FSX, or do I need an additional product specific to mesh, like PILOT's FS Global 2010?

AI Monitoring and Taxi Speed Controller (AIDirector) by Joe Oliveira, its there in the library. Includes source code as well. Says it controls AI taxi speed on runway, taxiway and turns. Though it says is for p3d 2.2, I gave it a shot anyway as it works through simconnect, but didn't produce any difference on 3.3.5.

I just got an email from sim market stating that there is a new version of AS16. It says to download it from their website and "remove the old version and install the new one". In my programs menu I have Active Sky 2016 for P3D update. Is that what gets uninstalled. The reason I ask is that update file is only 140MB and the new AS 16 installer that I just downloaded is 237 MB. I'm afraid of breaking something, frankly.

Hello all, Does anyone have any experience of using SimDirector to create interactive lessons? I am looking at putting together a course using the P3D Virtual Instructor function, but frankly I looked at the documentation and my brain nearly exploded. It looks very full-featured and useful, but I confess that to me as someone who knows rather more about flying than programming, I am really none the wiser as to where to start -- it seems entirely incomprehensible. Any tips or suggestions? I am going to attempt the time-honoured method of simply diving in and playing around until something breaks and/or I get something usable initially, but if anyone can give …

My Prepar3D stopped working since yesterday after I spent 2. Days flying with no problems it will not start I run as admin either alone or from my Rex but in both occasions I get the prepa3d screen and nothing after that . I deleted config file nothing changed. Deleted under documents Prepar3D v3 files nothing changed . Went to program and ran repair and restart still won,t start. No new programs were added at all. I have tileproxy going through the motions in Prepar3d but no resultant ground texture changes. In the DOS box that opens on starting TP, I noticed that the assumed location of fsx is my real install of FSX even though I specified Prepar3d as the location during the setup questions. Anybody get it to work?

So when flying through heavy clouds yesterday (AS16+ASCA) in the 737ngx my fps went down to 12-20 and when trying to look around in the cockpit it was lagging so much. When i got clear of the clouds fps went back to 30-50. This happens every time im flying through clouds. Is there any settings i can adjust so i wont drop that much fps?

I just received a notice for NavDataPro from Aerosoft for the 1610 Airac. "AIRAC Cycle 1610 is now available for download on our server! Run NavDataPro on your PC to download the new AIRAC Cycle. NEW in this month: support for FSLabs A320 for Prepar3Dv3 added" Looks like it might not be too far down the road.

A big "shout out" to the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum B25. Many eons ago, I had this plane for my FS9 and always remembered it with fond kindness. Yesterday, I took a chance and downloaded the FSX version into my P3D, v3.1. I am glad to report that once I pointed the install program to the correct directory, all went well on the install. For a plane this era, the exteriors are amazingly well done. The interiors are good by standards from 10 years ago; not so well as to today's amazing standards. But still OK. Hi Folks, I just stumbled about this freeware(!!!) plane for P3D and FSX. I downloaded it yesterday and in my opinion it is better than some payware planes on the market. Hello everyone, I am currently running P3D V3.3 and I have been thinking about upgrading to P3D V3.4. Does it behave better? Now to my primary question... i am currently running i7 3770K 4.3 GHz. I was trying to use some values for AffinityMask... but it always resulted in blurries of ground terrain. So I ditched it and used all 4 (8) cores. Recently I've tried to turn the HT off, and it brought me better smoothness. But maybe it's just a placebo. So... what do you recommend? Upgrade to 3.4? Go to AM=85 + HT On? Keep current CPU settings?

Hi Folks, Did anyone else lose TrackIR when upgrading to 3.1 ? It worked fine in 3.0 but I can't get it to work in 3.1... The little blue light on the camera never comes on and P3D doesn't recognize any head movement... I completely removed and reinstalled theTrackIR software - no joy. I have FSX loaded and it works fine in FSX... Anyone ? Thanks. Regards, Scott

Hi Guys just a heads up thought I would get the BB A330 before AS version comes out but spent many hours trying to get throttle and rudder to work - I think its not compatible with P3D 3.4 - maybe Their new version will work - would be nice if it does - wish Their product page would mention which version of P3D it can be used with - oh well

I know that there is split opinion on REX with With Soft Clouds (SC) vs Active Sky's Cloud Art (ASCA) for sky/cloud depiction but there also seems to be opinion here that REX does little for water textures. So are people just using REX for runway textures these days? Just wondering as I am still busy fresh installing my PC with P3D v3.4.9 and on the fence whether I should make the switch to ASCA and retire REC+SC altogether. I already have AS2016 but I am holding off on installing that until the 3.4 patch/update is out of beta.

I have just finished installing OLC North America and I am not sure if all of the files have been installed. I only appear to have 3 files namely OLC_NA1, OLC_NA2 and OLC_NA_LIGHTS. Can anyone advise me if this is correct or have a few files gone walkabouts during the installation process. I also have OLC Europe installed and it has 10 files, thus my concern that something is not quite right. Scotfree
