Hi guys, I am thinking of getting Q400 but am. Not sure which version. I am comfortable flying PMDG NGX and T7. I saw that Pro version has '4x smoother control' and 'TCS auto pilot' I am not quite sure what that is and if I need those features. I fly my PMDG without using any failures simulation. Yesterday I did a flight into the latest version of Aerosoft Rome and noticed after landing during taxi in how the ground textures behaved weird. Depending on the viewing angle the ground textures shifted, the taxi lines disappeared and then reappeared etc. Below is a short clip in 1st person avatar mode showing the issue while parked at the gate. Asked about this over at Aerosoft as well and was told it could be a z buffering issue but not really sure how to troubleshoot this kind of problem. Anyone in here seen this at Aerosoft Rome or knows how to fix it? This is what it looks like

I downloaded the free ai ga NA aircraft, but nothing shows up when running FSX. All the planes are in the aircraft file and the bgl files are in the world sceney file. I configured it in FSX Central. I get all my woai planes to show up, but no ga planes. The ga planes slider is set to 100. What do I have to do to get the ai ga planes to appear when running FSX. Arnold

I'm trying to add some better AI sounds to my UT2 traffic but not having much luck. It seems like no matter what I place in the AI aircraft's \soundai folder (whether it's a soundai.cfg that aliases to a folder, or a complete soundset with wav files and sound.cfg), the only sound I get in the sim from that AI is the generic "AI blast." However, standard/default AI traffic like the Lear 45 sound as they should, I can hear them throttle up/down, full sound cones etc. What is the secret to getting AI sound to work? Also sound_lod=0 is already set in the prepar3d.cfg file.

Hello, I need help fixing my simulator running smooth with out any system crash, I'm running my P3D V3 on a gamming laptop ; MSI i-7 6700, GTX 1060 6GB, 16 Gram. P3D V3, PMDG 747 V3, Rex world airports, orbx global I tried different settings without any luck, I don't have lots of experience on this, i can not get the sim to run smooth, the scenery, the movements.... What should I do, is it my hardware or my settings, any ideas? Thanks

So i've finally got my VR setup working fairly well and the immersion is great.. but i'm thinking i may want to get a supplementary GPS for future flights.. granted i havent even dug in very far into the existing built in ones, i guess the g1000 etc.. or the one with a2a 172 (same maybe i forget).. I've read people recommending the g650 and 750 from flight1.. are these fairly solid, no major fps hits? Do they work easier, more intuitive than the stock ones or a2a stock ones? Secondarily, which are more likely to be found in a real aircraft for training these days or maybe in the future.. or do learning pilots bring their own.. ie: would i likely see something l…

I've had this T2G product for a little while, and have his 2.1 update installed. What could have been my first approach at night I found missing approach lighting and runway lighting on 36L 36R 35R and runway edge lights but no approach lights 36L. I reinstalled product, updated video driver to 376.33, and signed up for his forum. While that process happens I was wondering if anyone here also has missing lighting at T2G KMCO?? I checked my T2G KSEA and it is okay. I have taxi lighting and VASI, just no runway edge, center or end lights and no approach including I do not see the approach light fixtures he usually includes. Stuff left by a P3d install under: C:\ProgramData\Package Cache ? There are a few folders, with the scenery, cliente and content installers, together with MS installers. A total of 9,91 GB in my Win 10 system disk... Is it worth keeping it there ?

I have instaled p3dv3 mainly to be able to use the FSLabs A320 and the PMDG 777, but so fat am running it without any add-on scenery, not even ORBX FTX Global yet... Since when p3d suffers updates the updates can be installed separately, I wonder if installing the scenery updates implies re-installing ORBX FTX Global everytime I do so, or even first uninstalling it, and then re-installing, which would be a true PITA, or if the scenery update installers can be run independently of whatever add-on scenery one has installed ?

Most times when I have P3D crashes or freezes due to my current experiments with the settings related to FSL and some others (overloading VAS) if I restart P3D and restart AS16 on the client, AS16 stops seeing P3D. So I have to reboot the server to restore connectivity. Is it something left running on the server after the crash that prevents AS16 to establish connection on the next run without rebooting the server? Thanks,

Hi guys I am continually getting an update flag on FTX Global Vector even after i get a 1,45 update successfully installed notification. Just wondering am i missing something? I click on the FTX window selecting "Update product". It then places it in the queue to download note its the only download. Once downloaded i get a notification saying download complete 1.45 installed. I reapply the elevation corrections etc in the vector tool. There is an orange installation options box which if clicked opens three choices ie install manually, I already have backup or dl and install then create backup. So the title says it all. What would you folks recommend? I've looking at buying a good First Officer addon for some time now. However, as I understand it, it seems that FS2Crew is only limited to certain addon aircraft. And furthermore, you need to buy different versions of it for different aircraft. MCE looks like it covers pretty much all aircraft, but isn't as complex as FS2Crew is. Would the above statement be a fair assumption? My main birds are the PMDG 737, the iFly 747, the Aerosoft A320, the Eaglesoft Citation X, the Captain Sim 777 (I had the PMDG 777 but I didn't repurchase after moving to P3D). Good morning, I have a small problem regarding the camera after using the FlyInside demo. I had trouble to get ChasePlane to work afterwards and resinattled it. Everything is fine except for one small thing. When I view my aircraft in the external view, it seems like I am stuck in the ground. At first I thought this is a layer problem. But when I move the camera to the ground, the wheels slowly appear and are fully visible when I am on the ground. See screenshots attached. Hi guys.. I'm wondering P3D v2.2 during last days and i'm getting some strange issues while tweaking. So, my HW cfg: - I7 3770K@ 4.5GHz disabled HT - 660 Ti 2GB - 8GB DDR3 - P3D running from SSD I'm now running whit a clean P3D.cfg with following settings, done by P3D interface: - Autogen is dense or trees & buildings, - Shadows only on A/C internals and externals - FPS unlimited with VSync - MSAA 8x and Texture Filtering 16x I installed FTX Global + Vector + OpenLC Europe I load an F35 from Ciampino (LIRA) and taking off i get extremely good FPS (40/50 up to 60) but the external scenery is sharp only around my airport (i think loaded during s…

Would there be any reason not to have a SimObjects.cfg file in a new install of Prepar3D v3 Prof.. I have look and searched through my whole computer without success.

I had Aerosoft A318-A321 installed and all worked good in new clean OS/P3Dv3.3.5 Then I installed FSL A320x and Spotlights (registerd) newest files. All works good in FSL A320x+Spotlights. Now every time I load AS A320 and press on Bat1 - P3D crashed immediately!! Have not seen that before, 100% repeatable. The cure is simple - just disable FSLSpostLIghts_P3D.dll in DLL.XML --> AS Airbus will work fine. Now, I like spotlights and I have a few very nice ini files for AS A320 that I downloaded from FSL. Any idea how to fix this BAT1 crash in AS Airbus when FSL Spotlight's dll is loaded? Has anybody heard of this particular crash? Thanks,

Since whatever i write in the company's fourm gets deleted without any reason, ill write here away from their reach. This addon has a very high price tag that does not justify at all what we are getting. It has been some 7 years in development plus almost a year released for FSX its just unreal how many issues are still there. The company has always been bad in communication and now its no different. Whenever they release an update they fix a few minor things while creating few others. Hi. I have searched everywhere and tried multiple settings around the forum and i cannot get rid of stutters. I am running a 4k monitor with the ability to use 30hz but that wasn't smooth for me. I have tried combinations of 1/2 refresh rate and Vsync on and external FPS limiter(Rivatuner and Nvidia Inspector). When i tried these settings i was using a default P3D.cfg so no tweaks. I have the Prefer Maximum Performance so no need to suggest that common fix. I also have tried Fiber Frame fixes and affinity masks tweaks and those also do not help. Can anyone help me give up to date settings or settings that could help me? System Specs P3D 3.4.18.19475 …

Hi Now I know I should have probably updated from v3.3 to v3.4 a while ago but I seem to remember reading that several people had problems, and so I decided to hold off updating Since then I have forgotten the reasons for not updating. I feel stupid asking this, but is there a way to save where the pop out displays in the NGX for example will go? Every time I load the sim I am popping out one of the MFD's by clicking on it, undocking it, and dragging to a second monitor. Same with the PFD, i pop it out and resize it.. is there a way to save this?

Does anybody here know the relationship between Nvidia DGX1 and P3D? I have gotten a few P3D error with 3 choices cancel/continue/exit. I don't see LM on the list of partners either.
