As I had installed several UK2000 airports prior to v4.1, and was getting this very irritating ntdll.dll CTD, I uninstalled every UK2000, and then re-installed all again. But, just a P3Dv4.1 is loading up after asking to add-on these airports, it goes CTD with that error. Is anyone else experiencing the same?

Hello, I can't hear any engine sounds or cockpit sound since update on p3d4.1. In other words, I sit without any noise in the cockpit, everything is mute. This affects both, the standard and the addon aircraft. for example the standard p3d v4.1 aircraft f-22 or Lockheed Elektra. It also occures on add-on airplanes, however, here the cockpit noise can be heard e.g. AS crj700 / 900 is but outside nothing to be heard. In the PMDG 737 ngx is inside and outside something to hear, but however here also no Engine sound. It sounds like the airplane at the gate without running engines. In several months of trying, I never was able to get my 2x 980Ti SLI config to work properly in P3D v4.0...one GPU would load up, the other would stay at 4-7% load. P3D V3 worked as normal with the GPUs sharing the load. Tried three different drivers, clean installs, deleted about a dozen sets of shaders. Nothing worked. So quite happily, installation of the 4.1 client and content updates now has my SLI config working normally in P3D v4.1--I was seriously contemplating driving to Denver tomorrow to buy a 1080Ti just so I could be done with it. So, I'll call this one a win just for that. Regards

Loaded ORBX Global, Vector, LC North America and Trees but no individual airports show up in V4. They are installed in V3. Am I missing a step? I understood all ORBX airports are updated to V4. Thank you, Dennis

Hi friends, I am on P3Dv4 now for about a month and really like it! I am unfamiliar with PTA, but having seen some posts on avsim, it seems that lots of you are using it. Have also seen a youtube about ENVTEX this week, and now i don't know which would be best for me. I need something easy as i am not very computer-knowledgeable. I can download some scenery like an airport, or a new a/c and get it working, but more than that, I am stumped. Would appreciate any thoughts/suggestions on which way to turn to upgrade the visuals. I do have all the ORBX stuff and still trying to get AS4 to work properly. My specs are below. Thanks!!

Haven't seen anyone mention this yet, but tomorrow's release of P3D v4.1 coincides with Microsoft's regular monthly "patch Tuesday" (2nd Tuesday of each month) routine update release. Note that the last patch boofered P3D for many people with Win 10 and one/both of updates KB4038788 and/or KB4040724. And this came today on the P3D forums from Rob McCarthy at Lockheed Martin: So...it probably would be wise to consider how you want to let the MS update cycle proceed (or not) before upgrading to P3D v4.1, and be aware that if the new install has problems, these MS updates may be behind it. Nothing...can...be...simple. Regards

Hi all, I face an annoying problem in P3D v4.1, but its not something that I got with 4.1. I remember having this problem with previous versions as well. What happens is that, when the visibility is low and I'm on the ground, I see in front of me a moving "visibility change line". You can see it in the picture below shown right before the red taxiway markings, and if you notice it actually extends through all the horizon. The effect is especially annoying with TrackIR, because as I turn my head around "visibility change lines" like these are drawn everywhere on the ground and scenery objects. Hello all, I would like to add an additional ssd on my aurora r5 which already has a 500gb ssd and a 1tb hdr. As many have recommended, I would like to install p3d on a separate ssd. After having a chat with Dell, they recommended an ssd with a ridiculous price of 850.00. I know that Alienware is a bit touchy when it comes to adding hardware so I'm hoping someone can guide me. Hi Folks, Just transferred over to P3D V3 from FSX and looking for some good UK scenery and airport files. I have the FSX versions of VFR photographic scenery and UK2000 airports, but not too sure if I can use these directly with P3d v3, and if so with the install pick up I'm using P3D and not FSX. Any help and advice - much appreciated. Rocky 114B

Usually this airport is pretty easy on load time and frames but for some reason in v4 the load times are insane about 8 minutes and that's with a pretty fast SSD. In previous versions of prepard3d I got 40fps here now I'm in the 20s. No issues at other airports. Has anyone run into this and found a fix?

This is the most expensive single add on I have ever purchased - and having downloaded it - I see no guidelines or instructions as to what to do - so assume it has been installed (which it has in my add on folder) - but I cannot see it in the vehicle list when I open P3D V4. Surely this is crazy - never experienced this with any other product. What do I need to do to find the plane so I can fly it?

Out of curiosity, should we install the content? Reason why I ask is for the concern that the aircraft (default or other) may require the content files to be installed to ensure continuity and stability with the client (4.1). Further to this, I noticed now, after installing only the v4.1 client that the startup fighter jet (pardon as its designation escapes me at the moment) is no longer gun-smoke grey but black as if texture-less. Addon Aircraft such as PMDG are fine. So my question to the masses is that, should I install the content? And what impact will it have on All Orbx and other scenery note utilizing the XML method that LM has beseeched?

not moaning..it wasn't long ago just after Microsoft flight was cancelled that flightsim for me was dead in the water.FSX was just a pain in the rear and had been discarded by Microsoft with no further updates. all of a sudden out of the blue LM came along with Prepar3d and with that came regular updates...now in 64bit we are in flightsim heaven.BUT ..with every update comes sometimes months of waiting.with the amount of addons i have ,i'm always waiting for something to be fixed.some companies are very quick to update ,some of the more complex addons like the aerosoft airbus and the MJC8 q400(not far off now} take months to adapt.am i happy,yes of course.things…

How accurate is the flight model of Cessna 172 on P3D V4? For example, while pitching, is the center of gravity changes according to the fuel dispersion in the aircraft ?

My only complaint is when figuring the flight plan, I don't see the suggested altitude for the flight plan like we see in FSX and when I add my own, the numbers are very sensitive.

Lately I've been noticing that when trying to pull up GSX with the hotkey Shift F11, the menu doesn't always appear. It seems there might be a conflict with UTL because it will say "traffic increase" or something along those lines. However, this doesn't always happen. I was running UTL for a while with GSX and had no issues but it seems as though every few flights this occurs. Any thoughts?

Anyone else experienced low visibility lately in P3Dv4(.1)? I've noticed very poor visibility on my last couple of flights and below is an example what it looked like yesterday for example when I was approaching LGKR. After playing around with the visibility settings both in ASP4 as well as P3D a bit to no avail I tried moving to my home area Scandinavia since I didn't see this issue a couple of days ago when I was flying there. The result was the visibility was back to normal so this indeed seems to at least somehow be related to your location. I am thinking of buying LEBB Bilbao Can you tell me how well LEBB Bilbao runs in v4. Also I only have Global-vector-OLC-Libs Do I need a beta flow xxx or something to make them work? The airport photo textures look poor.
