Hello, When I was using FSX: SE as my primary simulator I used WOAI for AI Traffic. Last June I switched to P3D v4 and I just copied everything from WOAI to P3D. Most of the models worked fine but there were a couple who didn't work that good (black planes, no landing gear, planes disappearing, ...). A solution to this is to download the updated models from AIG but I didn't want to fiddle to much with that. I've already learned to use AIFP but I'm still using outdated models. What I tried to do is using the Orbx models from their FTX AU AI Pack, since they're updated to work with v4. But is doesn't seem to work perfectly, I assigned British Airways to tho…

I've just switched to P3DV4 and I'm trying to set up some scenarios. In P3DV3 the default groundspeed for a flight planned AI track was 250 knots. In P3DV4 it is now 1085 so any AI target runs away at a great rate of knots! Selecting the "NavLog" box on the flight planner screen shows the flight plan parameters and there is a value for estimated GS and a blank box for actual GS. The figure for estimated GS seems fixed and can't be amended. Is there a way to do this within P3D? I use the ubiquitous MS Force Feedback 2 joystick. It's durability has proved it self by lasting longer than the sims I bought. Never had any issues with it using the hatswitch pan & tilt until now. All of a sudden, after starting the engines in the FSL A320X, I can tilt upwards only. Now down tilt or sideways pan. I have to save the scenario and re-boot and all is per normal then. Anyone else using P3Dv4.1/Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.................and the Updated FSLA320X experiencing the same or has any suggestions about this? I installed P3D 4.1 today after doing a clean install of Windows 10 (fall version). I downloaded and installed the latest version of AS and while the interface says it is connected the weather doesn't change at ALL in the sim. No matter what I do. Nothing. Clear skies all the time. I can even call up the AS request window in P3D but the weather remains unchanged. Any ideas what's going on here? Problem solved: turns out I made a mistake when installing my cloud files...

Hi All, I've been off simming for a while and as I just got back from boarding school for October break, I just updated to 4.1. Of course, she doesn't work right. I have a wierd issue with the physics in the sim that even when I have full control deflection, all aircraft pitch, roll and yaw excruciatingly slow. It isn't a controls issue, when I go into the PMDG 737 SYS EICAS page, the flight controls display show full deflection. Despite this, the aircraft behaves as if I am on 1/4 deflection. This happens on every aircraft, even default. I have ASP4 installed, but it happens even when it isn't running. Any suggestions? Thanks, Arnav

Hi there... I have installed LDDU recently and I found a lot of trees in the hills, which do not belong there. Could it be that Global Trees does some extra work there - and if so, can I do anything about it. It really looks very strange compared to the Youtube video which shows the LDDU approach. Was gonna do a flight from LEBL to LFMN and notice that these airports didn't have any parking gates for 777. Why's that? I see plenty for A320/A321, 737, 767, etc... I even saw an A380 parked at LEBL. Another thing is in Aivlasoft I get an error message saying there are no runways long enough for the 777 either.

Hi, Apologies for starting a new thread on this but I did it for visibility. Some users of the FSLabs A320X were experiencing a crash-to-desktop when attempting to load the plane directly (the workaround is to load the piper cub first, then the A320X) I just went to the FSL Forums to say the update is still having problems, when I came across a post that said turn your P3D Water settings from Ultra to High and this fixes it. Well, it fixed it!. I installed P3D 4.1 on a fresh W10 yesterday. I notice that the shadows of trees and buildings etc. are flickering and shimmering extremely. This also is the case when the sim is paused and also even at the highest shadow settings. It is really bad and annoying. I'd almost turn them off but the shadows used to add so much to the realism of what I am seeing. Anyone else noticing the same? The cloud shadows are completely fine.

Seeing that simMarket are offering LtainVFR's KMIA as 25% off , does anyone have this airport and what are the pros and cons of it? Is it worth getting, or give it a miss? Thanks for opinions.

I have completed the PMDG 737NGX Tutorial #1 flight from EGKK London Gatwick to EHAM Amsterdam Schiphol twice (plus the initial test where I had somehow deleted Amsterdam airport; I was on final approach to a big green field ), but I struggled to get everything done on time before I reached my destination. Bearing this in mind, is it possible to use the FMC to set up a direct flight to one of the destination airport STARs (without using SIDs from the departure airport)? I guess any procedures like this would also be useful for airfields that do not have SIDs or STARS at all. Since installing v4.1 i have a strange scenery error when applying SSAA. The ground turns from normal to black and back to normal. In MSAA i have no problems. Hi guys. Im trying to figure out my issue. I loaded up at KSEA or any major payware airport with the PMDG 747 QOTS II. My EVGA OSD was saying I was getting 30 frames constantly and my GPU usage was only around 50% I have a 7700k at 4.8ghz and a 1080ti. Once I liftoff I get a bigget stutter and then when I look out the side windows or even the front sometimes I see micro stutters. I run my monitor at 30hz and my FPS isnt dropping below 30 the whole time. I have no idea what it is. FSUIPC autosave is off as well It was fine until I installed the FSLABS A320 the other night. Any Suggestions?

Hi guys. My FTX South Germany does not remotely look like the pics on the ORBX site. Munich looks like this: I also deactived T2G EDDM for testing... cranked up all Autogen settings etc. No luck :-( Any hints? Thanks!

Just got an email that some more Carenado planes are ready for V4. I do note, however, that the B200 King Air catches fire when starting the engines.

I posted this on LM's forum. Just posting it here too to see if anyone else is getting this.... I've had 4.1 installed since it released working fine. All of my addons were working too. Recently I have not been able to get past startup. I get the P3D splash screen and then it crashes. I tried repairing the installation using the installer with no success. I completely uninstalled it to start fresh. I installed v4.0 and tried to launch it again and got the same error. Hi all, I have verified this finding, in both v4 and v4.1 and I would like to hear your experience. So, even without using Dynamic Lights (means the Dynamic Lights option is turned off in P3D menu), whenever I turn on my landing lights (ie. prior to takeoff), I observe a clear fps drop. The performance impact is so high I have to turn the landing lights off to be able to take-off without stutters. I was aware the dynamic lights could create that problem, but why I see this effect with no dynamic lights been enabled? I installed P3D 4.1 on a fresh W10 system. After setting up my graphic preferences I saved a preset but whenever I select or (or save it again) the window shows Custom. It should simply show the name of my saved preset. How come this doesn't happen? I am afraid there is a setting that's being changed or something...? Why can't I see the name of the loaded preset? I usually have a few presets and it's a bit problematic if I can't see which preset is currently loaded.

I downloaded and installed version 4.1 but all I can find is the old 4.0 version. Tried to install a couple of times but no differennce. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks Bernd Jablonka

Hi Someone wrote that all you need to do to have stable updated P3D V4.1 from V4 is to install.client.msi and content.msi. Well, I don't think it is true. I Tried to do that. Client.msi installed fine but content.msi immediately gave an error "cannot find source Cont1.cab for 4.1". Does that mean all other Cab filers are updated for v4.1. Both Content and Client were uninstalled first in V4. How can I install Content.msi now. Or is it better to do complete install v4.1. Would it affect all my addons. FSLABs A320, All PMDGs, Active sky, GSX etc. if I uninstall V4, reinstall v4.1 Thank you Bill Hagag

Hi all, Relatively new P3D user converting from FSX SE. One thing I have noticed is the sim will lag as I approach any decent sized payware airport. What I mean by lag is a mini freeze for about 1-3 secs, I understand this is probably the airport and surround area being loaded into memory but it's a bit annoying and something I didn't experience in FSX SE. Thoughts? Thanks
