Hi, I need your help deciding. At the moment I both have FSX Steam Edition and Xplane 10/11 (My main sim). Might buy Prepar3d soon. What I wonder is the which aircraft is "best," or top of the list between PMDGs 737/777, FSL A320 X or IEXG 737. These are among the most advanced and well developed as you already know. My options: 1. Buy A320-X for FSX Steam edition and just fly, wait for Prepar3d V4 to release and buy upgrade A320-X for P3D. 2. Buy PMDGs 737 for FSX Steam edition and just fly. 3. In the last couple of days, I recognized that all my airport lights were displayed wrong. It didn't matter where I was. Every scenery had the problem, even the default sceneries. I hope someone can help me! Here is a picture, where you can see, what the problem is.

It's a small and flat country but since I live there this news from Orbx's John Venema got me excited anyway! Here is what he posted just now on the Orbx forum: "Netherlands. Watch this space, announcement and preview shots soon. Completely new tech for an FTX region too." This was in reply to a question which would be the next region Orbx will be releasing. Something in the Sedro Valley area really causes me a big hit on fps. Tonight I was flying along the river and saw all these sparkles along the riverbank. When I got closer, they looked liked logs in and along the riverbank. Anyone have any idea what specific scenery package from ORBX is creating these. I'd like to try and deactivate them (via renaming the .bgl file) and see if that might be the culprit stealing my fps. I have most everything ORBX in the area. Every where else I am fine with my PC performance so I hate to turn things down just for one area of the world. Thanks, LouP

I've been slowly working through getting my new sim computer set up in P3D v4. Interesting task for someone who's run a very stable FSX setup for years, but I'm slowly working through all of the issues and have got most of my add-ons, controllers and utilities working smoothly. One bit of trouble I'm having, though, is with the FltPlan Go GPS app. The new system is Windows 10, and the app simply refuses to launch. Literally nothing happens. I've tried it in Win7 compatibility mode, made sure there are no issues with Windows Firewall, etc. and I can't get the silly thing to run. At all. I know others are using this on Windows 10, but I'm pretty much out of ideas…

Hello, While many payware airports are in the process of being updated and release for v4, most freeware airports out there are built for FSX. I used to freewarescenery.com to usually download airports, and very few of those have been updated to p3d v4. Is there a similar website or library where I can find v4 compatible scenery ? Is there going to be problems using old FSX sceneries with v4 ?

Pilots, Can someone point me in the direction of what the best settings are to optimize both the Rift and P3Dv4 for FlyInside use? Its working fairly decent already but I keep reading there are several settings worth optimizing to get the best out of the experience. I have a fairly hefty gaming rig so I'd like to see if there is anything else I could adjust to maximize VR operations. Thanks! Stephen Luebberti

I had to format my FSX/Par3D/XP rig hard drive and I reinstalled Par3D but it won't open after it completes loading everything. Everything works normally until it gets to that point then nothing but a black screen and the program won't respond anymore. I have to close it out. Any idea what the problem is? I’m not super knowledgeable in software programming, but I am curious about something if y’all could help me understand. Why does REX TD have PTA presets or why would one even use Rex PTA presets...I just thought they would be able to accomplish the “look” when they design the program, or does PTA do something to it all that Rex td isn’t able to do? Rex td looks amazing in the screens, all the sky textures. Then I look at PTA presets they have and they also look amazing. Just curious if I should get PTA. I was on the fence whether to get envtex but it seems Rex offers more

Hi, I am currently running v3 (to lazy to upgrade) with windows 10 and I am looking for good regional airliners for p3d. I am someone who gets very deep into an aircraft's systems and what every setting, switch, and click spot does. I just feel very accomplished when I am able to completely master an aircraft down to the smallest detail. So far I've flown the Majestic Q400, Quality Wings 75, PMDG NG, and the PMDG T7. With that being said are there any models close to "study plane" level in the regional market. I've looked at the QW BAE 146/Avro RJ and the Aerosoft CRJ. Hi, As the title says, I can no longer assign a shortcut key or button for viewing TopDown. It has simply disappeared from the key controls. Only remeaning option is to select it from the view menu. Any others have noticed this? Jos

I am using a cirrus II console and i am wondering what utility people that have the same equipment are using for calibration. Are you using PFCcomm64.dll or the FSUIPC5.dll? Or even both. Pierre

This has got to be one of my favorite parts during my flight preparation. Starting and hearing those monstrous GE-90 engines spool up sounds so beastly and amazing. Especially when you have a nice audio system hooked up to your PC. Wow. I can't explain how good it feels and the chills I get everytime I startup the engines on the 777. Only thing thats missing is the ambient airport sounds, which will make it come to life even more. I really wish there was a good ambient airport sound pack for AI planes and airport surrounding areas. I know there are a few out there but none of them come close to representing the sounds you would get as if you were actually outside at the a…

Does anyone know how to get GSX to recognise the Afcad for the airport add-on selected, i.e I have FTX: EU: England and am also using UK2000's EGCC. But when I park an aircraft at a gate and want to use GSX, it looks to park a pax aircraft, i.e. the MJC Dash 8 in the cargo area with the nose over a fence!!! Absolutely ridiculous. And when I check the GSX 'Customise airport position', it is using the Afcad for FTX:EU:England instead of UK2000's. How can I force GSX to use the correct Afcad?

MyTraffic 6 is working OK with v4. But, one thing that I note is that ATC will call an A/C and they won't answer which leads to the IFR plan eventually being cancelled. This happens fairly often. Has anyone else noticed this?

Hi folks, Using a 4K /30Hz wide monitor I used to set fps to unlimited together with EVGA Precision XOC to limit frames to 30. Since v4.1, external frames limiters (I've tried with NI as well) do "work" (frames are limited) BUT unless I use P3D internal limiter, I get blurries which I never had before. My GTX1080 (tried different drivers) as well as my rig are not faulty, I have deleted the shaders, recreated new cfg, changed graphic settings etc.. to no avail. As a matter of fact, my V4.1 needs to be internally limited to refresh textures properly. Any clue? Thanks!

Hi, I have my first monitor on Nvidia 1080 and my second (a VRinsight CDU III) on the VGA output of my MB. For some days (since friday), when I put the gauges on my CDU III, I have a black screen, or a flickering screen, or the gauge does not "move" (no reponse when I click on FMS). I tried to upfate both drivers (Intel 630 and Nvidia 1080), but no chage. Any idea yo help me? Thank's Yves
