Hi all, dont know if it’s the right section (if not sorry) As I’m learning to fly I’ve started to use Rev on the multi panel and everytime i click it, it turning on and off immediatly to activate the APR instead, VS Also turn off as soon as i click I dont think the problem comes from spadnext cause it looks like everything is well configured, I’ve Check p3d control command but l dont see anything, Maybe something is in conflict when I hit those buttons ? Any advice ? thanks

Hello, I've been trying to configure my P3Dv4, looking to find the proverbial 'optimal' setup for my system. Looking at the MSAA vs SSAA debates, it's pretty clear that SSAA is higher quality, but at a cost of performance. But I do have a general question... in the opinion of the group, from a quality perspective only, would 4xMSAA provide a better image, or would 2xSSAA be better? 8xMSAA vs 4xSSAA? thanks for your help, Mike

Does anyone know the status of TFDi's "PACX"? It was sepculated that it will be ready maybe in June but then suddenly there has been no further info anywhere for months and I read in another forum that the CEO plus developers left the company/project.

Maybe you folks already know this, but while I was do other testing I had the floating houses/building issue (apparently this problem has been around since the beginning of time). Anyway, my solution was to move the AutoGen building density slider back one notch, go back flying and buildings should now be back on the ground. You can go back to the AutoGen settings and move the slider back to your original position and the everything will still be good to go when you return to flying ... unless of course you like to fly obstacle courses then carry on "as is" Cheers, Rob. how do i insert a flightplan? i put it in with simbrief and installed it in the sim/qw/flightplans and when i put it in the FMC it says its not in the database

Considering several Orbx purchases due their great May sale... 1. Can you use Global openLC Europe without Global? I don't care for Global's low-res incorrect colors and hope they will evidently create a hi-res version with PBR. I know they "supposedly" require Global with their airports but I've been running several locations without no repercussions. 2. Which TrueEarth is better quality-wise Netherlands or Great Britain South for P3d v4? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Yesterday I few in the PMDG 747 from FlightBeam KIAD to FSDT Chicago and enabled several photo sceneries for the trip for some immersion. Had MSE Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois enabled. Plus all of my Drzewiecki Design (DD) scenery was enabled for Seattle, NY and Miami (it has photo scenery in it so it would load during the flight too. Had ASP4 and Ultimate Traffic Live enabled. I use a batch file to start 6 addon programs and P3Dv4.4 in a 4 core non-HT Win10 system. For each of the addons I set an affinity mask (Hex E) to keep the addon from using core 0 which is heavily used by P3D. This works fine for all the addons except Active Sky. Active Sky starts up OK, but when I use the Task Manager to check the Active Sky affinity mask it always shows all 4 cores are being assigned. I have tried everything I can think of, including running a separate batch file just for Acitve Sky, but nothing works. Everything is run as Administrator. I would appreciate any ideas on what might be preventing setting the Active Sky affinity mask. Thanks, Al …

Good Day, Posting here first before taking a chance on the Orbx forums...... Since there appears to no longer be an Orbx forum on Avsim I am posting here. Just purchased Prepar3D 4.5 after flying FSX since Oct. of 2006. No going back now, it is hard to believe the improvement. My install of FSX had approx. 200GB of Orbx products installed, all the Global and major areas. All of my non DVD areas transferred without issue to Prepar3D using FTX Central. Four of my NA areas are on DVD and will need to be exchanged via the "DVD Crossgrade" in my account. Has anyone had success or failure using this tool. Hello all, Since a while I've gotten quite interested in flying around East Asia, as it's the kind of environment where widebodies see a lot of usage owing to the short-to-medium haul routes between major cities (think Hong Kong, Shanghai, taiwan, Seoul, etc). I recently noticed WF Scenery Studios, who have made several big Chinese airports, are having a 25% off sale. I was wondering what people think of the quality of their sceneries? I realize Beijing was recently released by A_A as well - any opinions on whether to wait for A_A to have a sale as opposed to buying WFSS's rendition now? Any opinion very much appreciated!

Hello, Is possible to edit the placement of where the "Message Text" field is placed in P3D window? When I load GSX or other add-ons, the "Message Text" field is always placed on the top and was wondering if this could be changed . Thanks!

With REX EF my sim runs at half FPS. Usually I get 50-60 TS+AS adn now with AS+EF the sim runs at around 25-45. I tried both the automation mode and manual mode changing all possible options (including 3d cloud texture size) but no effect on performance. Any idea? Thanks

I want to know which licence is needed for p3d to use it for simulation similar to fsx? Can academic licence allow me to use it with pmdg, and other add ons? Thanks Ash

Anyone know if it is possible to change graphics settings in the sim without opening the Graphics dialog? Perhaps a keyboard shortcut, or a 3rd party app which can poke settings in live? The reason I ask is that I want to disable cloud shadows during dawn/dusk as that setting change seems to eliminate the FPS drop during those times of day. It would be nice to be able to do that without stopping the sim. Even nicer would be an app which could make that change automatically at the correct times each day. Maybe one of the existing tweaking apps can do this? Anyone tried this?

This problem started after installing the Leonardo Maddog md82 for P3d v4.4. I enabled PBR for the interior and exterior of the Maddog. It could of course be a coincident that I became aware of the problem afterwards but I doubt it. Troubleshooting steps so far: 1. Reinstalled Graphics drivers and cleared P3d shaders and restarted computer. 2. Deleted all exterior views and recreated them using Chaseplane. 3. Disabled PBR options for the Maddog. Hi guys, A quick question... The stars in my vr headset are redicilously bright and there are way too many. I played with autostars (I believe it's called) but I get even more stars. No matter what I tried in there, the sky is massively filled with white dots. I tried to edit the stars.dat file in Excel and notepad++ but that resulted in a pitch black sky... Can someone send me a modified stars.dat file with less bright stars or tell me how to achieve that? That would be awesome!!! Thanks. Jozeff

I am planning to get into my first commercial aircraft for Prep3D (either a CRJ or 737 I have both). I understand that different aircraft types need different FP formats and that flight planners are available to produce a flight plan in the required format for the aircraft I have available. My question is, "How do I produce the same flight plan for ATC use?". Will available flight planners produce both the aircraft aligned FMS flight plan and the ATC flight plan for the same trip or is there something I need to learn?. Hi guys, Love helicopters, not necessarily in p3dv4, but since I have that sim and a lot of add-ons I make the best of it. I have used htr profiles for years to make my helicopters a but more realistic but suddenly as soon as I start htr my heli starts to spin, and bump uncontrollably. It just moves over the ground with 100 mph and instantly destroys the rotors and the rest of the helicopter. I unplugged all controls physically, I deactivated controllers in P3d, restarted everything..... No matter what I do, as soon as I start htr the heli goes absolutely crazy. This goes for all helicopters, milviz and default. This seems like some sort of strange bug…

Hello, I use P3Dv4.4 and can't get rid of the haze effect. It was enabled via Tomatoshade (RD Preset), but I removed it. Reset everything to default. Deleted Shaders. New Install of the P3D Client. Backup from Envtex and SkyForce. But nothing helps. Active Sky: off SkyForce: off Environment Force: off Tomatoshade: not in used, deleted Shaders P3D Client: new Envtex: backup to default Textures. P3Dv4: in Clear Skies Mode Any idea? What's the cause of the Haze? Thanks Urmel

I see Orbx has another sale going on. I own a lot of there stuff and was interested in picking up Pacific Northwest but hear it can be a pain to get working with T2G KSEA or DD Seattle Airports X / Seattle City. I read the numerous procedures and work-arounds on Orbx forums. Do these fixes really work or is the scenery worth the headache. I run FSGlobal Mesh 2018, and all the Orbx Global items installed. Is PNW better on performance than Southern California?

Does anyone have EditVoice Pack X compatible evpmod files for the following callsigns.... ACROPOLIS AMIRI SILVER ARROW TWIN STAR TYROLJET WHITEJET I have found vcpmod versions, but they all have a sound segment that is incompatible with EditVoicePack X, and therefore I am unable to import them. If there is an evpmod database hidden somewhere on the internet, then please point me to it!
