Hello hoping everyone is having a good day i was just wondering. I have always had micro stutters when the main gear has contact with the runway when landing (on the PMDG 747) and i have never found a good solution to this (this does not occur on aircraft such as the FSLABS or QW787) . I limited my frames, monitor refresh rate and settings and nothing seems to have done the trick yet. However not too long ago i found this in another forum from someone with this issue in 2014 in the FSX days saying: 'remove or rename fx_skidmark.fx from "effects" folder.' Hi all, please can someone help out here - I'm now using WMR and Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR to fly using P3D and after 2 weeks I'm delighted. The res is so good that I can use the instruments completely, from tuning the radio to reading the altimeter subscale - astonishing! Trouble is, although I can go through the pre and post-flight checklists on the helicopter's tablet, I'm having to reach forward so far that it's physically uncomfortable (almost painful!) on my neck. Now it would be just as bad in the real Cabri G2 if I used the on-board tablet, which is why I use a paper checklist in real life. But inside the HP Reverb headset I can't see the paper h…

Anybody found any good profile for standard left seat view? I'm still having trouble adjusting to the new layout. It's strange not having things like the altitude MCP in view without moving right. I know it can be overcome with zoom and presets. But I'm having trouble adapting to find something good.

Team, Since updated to FTX Central V4, I have encountered a strange error relating to my autogen; in short, my buildings have disappeared. I can resolve the problem by deleting my scenery.cfg file in ProgramData > Lockheed Martin > Prepar3D V4 directory. However, the moment I 'verify' my orbx base installation via FTX Central, the problem reappears. I'd appreciate any assistance you can offer. I use orbx global base/vector/LC etc. Never installed the night lights package. Now that I use TS I see that it came with suggested settings for this program. Do you guys use it? Recommend?

Has anyone tried out both the PMDG 737NGX 800/900 and iFly Jets 737NG How do they compare. Is one better than the other and if so in what way ?

Not sure what is causing my problem, no, I have no idea, I load a flight plan, follow the procedures and get the aircraft up and running fine, get clearance to taxi and start toward the runway and more often than not, I get part way there and the screen freezes and then it completely shuts P3D down. I have other PMDG aircraft and the A2A Connie and do not have the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated. RandyComo

Hello all, A very specific question here and this is probably best for Rob Ainscough ( I really don't know). I have read many, many, topics on this and mostly they have just contributed to my ultimate confusion. Will P3Dv4.5 use all cores in i9 9900k and/or Ryzen 9-3900x ie 8 vs 12, and their associated threads ie 16 vs 24. I am very much aware that the i9 is the fastest (overclocked @ 5ghz as opposed to 4.6ghz) I am unsure whether or not the Rsyzen overclocks to 4.6ghz on all cores or not. My question is ... is 4.6ghz over 12 cores going to process P3Dv4 or 5, better than 8 cores at 5ghz and, in all reality, is the difference going to condemn anyone t…

Hey, I was researching online that how to run some of the software of P3D on a secondary PC & I did found some posts on AVSIM in which people did say they run some softwares of P3D on a secondary PC to get some load off their main PC. So I tried looking online how can we do it, but I could not find anything. The softwares that I have are: Active Sky for P3Dv4, REX Sky Force 3D for P3Dv4, PRO ATC X, Project Fly, Vpilot. I just want to offload whatever these softwares can be offloaded from my main PC. I need a tutorial how can we do it. Please post some pictures or video. Thanks.

Hello everyone first of all thanks for all the help and support over the years. P3D has been a blast and a huge source of frustration. I am just simply done with trying to keep my P3D installation in tip top form. Every time i rebuild my machine I have to chase down all my add-ons.. get reactivation reset for various products and no matter how hard I have tried to script the re-installation process with the tons of add-ons and tweaks I am just tired and done. Hi, Anyone with Aerosoft/Simwings that understand the readme file for updating scenerys with SODE? Seems straight forward copy SODE subfolder from there website to your ecosystem/Aerosoft/ simwings Airport add-on folder and run SODE.on bat but nothing installs. Files not found it says. Hi, I'm having a really hard time to understand the use and benefit of an engine manual start and ignition panel on my A320? What exactly is the difference between a normal engine start and a manual engine start and when does the manual engine start become necessary? How is a manual start carried out correctly? I found some explanations on wikipedia and youtube, which unfortunately left more questions than answers. Maybe someone can explain it more simple for me. Thank you! Best regards Andi

Good morning, I have made a new installation from my P3d v4.5. The Simulator is installed on a new m.2 SSD. I only installed the following programs: - Aerosoft A320 Pro Family - Aerosoft Approaching Dortmund - Taxi2Gate Munich - GSX Level 2 My Settings ingame are OK. I have got 60 FPS. The Problem is Microstutting. Every few seconds I have laggs if I move the Airplane. It's a little stuttering. I hate it. On a flight the same mistake. Stuttering, but not so hart like on the Ground. I've just upgraded my Prepar 3D from version 4.4 to version 4.5, and I wanted to be sure it installed correctly. I completely un-installed the previous 4.4 to version. First of all, let me say that when I install my flight sim programs, both FSX and P3D, I do not install them into the Program Files Directory but I install them in the C directory. This prevents many issues that arises from using the Program Files directory, and I don't understand why Lockheed Martin does not install the sim in the C: directory by default in the first place to prevent those other issue. I finally updated to P3Dv4.5 Hotfix2-Client only I have an Orbx setup with all the bells and whistles-all is good However I notice a lack of vegetation especially trees compared to P3D 4.5 Anybody else have this problem? Had to completely reformat my C drive and reinstall windows due to a corrupted Windows 10 update that was preventing my PC from restarting. I had originally installed P3D on my D drive but for some reason the sim is no longer in installed programs and the icon does not work. Seems like I have to reinstall P3D again but is there a way to install it so that I don’t have to redo the dance to reinstall my numerous addons? Is reinstalling it to my D drive P3D folder recommended or should I just start from scratch? Thanks!

Hi, I have a question regarding the trimming function on small and larger aircrafts. Do B738 or A320 pilots use the trimming function on the yoke or the trim wheel during the final manual landing phase or directly after takeoff before the autopilot gets activated?
