P3Dv4.5, ORBX Global Base, various OpenLC areas, various ORBX regions, many ORBX airports. Regardless of where I start a flight, textures are black. Mountains are black covered with "gray" trees. I can discern black rivers and gray building. Runways/taxiways look okay. Doesn't matter if I start a flight on an ORBX airport or in a non-ORBX location (excluding ORBX Global, of course). I uninstalled/re-installed Global Base Pack using ORBX Central. No joy. I used the Sync with simulator function and updated ORBX libraries. I posted this on the ORBX Forum too; awaiting a response. How do I fix this? Thanks. Scott

Has anyone experience running the current PMDG Jetstream 41 under P3D? It is for FSX, but I would like to know whether it runs under P3D (until PMDG issues their P3D version...). Regards, Domingos

I am having a real struggle finding representative AI flightplans for various airlines to LOWI Innsbruck. I am aware that many of these flights are seasonal, but I want to add them so that I get a nice selection of visitors to my recently purchased ORBx LOWI Innsbruck airport. Is there a way to remove or lower the yoke in the Manfred Jahn C-47 Dakota in order to see the instruments behind it? I can lower the yoke in the C-47 with the more modern panel, but can't seem to find a similar click spot (if there is one) in the Dakota. Thx, Al

Hi, is there a way to move all those aircraft and scenary installed inside the "documents/prepar3d v4 add-ons" folder on C:\ hard drive? I would like to move that folder on a secondary hard drive... Is it possible? Maybe with Lorby Addon Organizer? Thanks!

I sent five messages seeking support from REX during the past week, each time I did receive an immediate acknowledgement but never any suggestion or message regarding my problem which is as follows: Since I updated REX EF last week, each time I start it, I get to the registration screen asking for name, license, email address and store of purchase. So in short the registration data is not saved by the system. Hi all, I am curious to hear what the recent opinions are regarding the performance of the QW 787. Owning the PMDG 744, I would like to add another lang-haul airplane to the virtual hangar which offers more possibilities in routes and airlines. I have read several forums about the FPS and performance impact of QW's 787, especially in comparison with PMDG's 747. However, these forums are mostly around 2018, and I would love to hear how it is performing after the most recent updates. Hi, After watching Rob’s amazing videos demonstrating the power of the Vulkan API in Aerofly FS2 I felt compelled to investigate and learn more about this worthy ‘successor’ to OpenGL. It seems we may be on the brink of a revolution in Graphics rendering technology and also the prospect of a welcome release from Microsoft’s stranglehold on users of their operating systems. Not only does Vulkan offer everything currently supported by DirectX 12 but it is cross-platform compatible unlike the competition which is restricted to the Xbox (‘X’ from DirectX) cash cow and Windows 10. I have been observing the flickering problem for a long time😖 I was sure that the new hardware and a complete reinstall of the simulator would solve this problem, but as it turned out it didn’t change anything😥 Most likely the problem is in some kind of settings, because when bring closer the flickering object (texture), the problems disappear, any ideas❔ Spoiler

I took advantage of the Justsim sale of their Dusseldorf airport. Looked good but I noticed lots of 3D grass along the runways/taxiways. The black ground grid lines are enhanced due to shadows. So my original question was does anyone know which file I can remove to remove these grass textures? Don't care for the look and might save a few FPS. But then I disabled the airport to go back to the default EDDL and the grass was still there?! How could this be I thought to myself? So as a test, I loaded up P3Dv3 as it is all default and sure enough the 3D grass textures are there as well??? Did LM/MS upgrade this airport in the default version? Can someone …

Hello all, I need some assistance to be pointed in the right direction. I currently use UTL for my traffic program, but the program seems to be lacking with GA as well as corporate traffic. So far in the past three years of using this program, I’ve only seen KingAir 350’s, and Falcon 50’s (sometimes) flying around which they claim is “large GA traffic”. This is rather annoying since I myself soley fly Corporate in my sim so whenever I pull up to an FBO, there’s nothing there but KingAirs. I thought downloading the free GA traffic from ORBX would fix my issue but it hasn’t seemed to help since I’m still not seeing any more corporate airplanes buzzing around. To my understa…

Hello, I have been using "A Pilot's Life" and one of the airlines available to me at the start uses the 767. This got me thinking, what is the best 767 for P3D V4? I've heard about the Level-D one, but I've also heard that it isn't too good. Let me know what y'all think down below. Best, Andrew

Dear simmers, I am recently trying out the QW787 1.2.1 I found a significant drop in fps but thats okay. However, my screens, in particular ND PFD, seem like they are updating too slow. So when I turn the A/C, the screens don't change as smooth as it should be. Anyone experienced the same and has a fix for it? Greetz, Karim

Hi Do any of you have experience with the Tokyo Scenery of Samscene V2? I use ORBX products (Base, Global, Vector) in P3DV4 and the result is a dense urban development, but not very accurate. I have the impression from the product photos of Samscenen that there are many specially modeled buildings, but there are also some free areas in between, where you can only see the satellite groundimage, where there should be a "sea of houses". At the moment Simmmarket offers the sceneries for about 27 Euro and I am thinking about it. Greetings Erik

Hi, I'm new to simming in the Windows 10 environment. I was using Windows 7 and NOD32. I never experienced any issues with installing add ons in Windows 7 with NOD32. Now I am using Microsoft Security Essentials and the rest of the MS security software. I know a lot of developers recommend turning off AV software while installing. What do I need to do in W10 to avoid problems with installers? I already have UAC disabled. Thanks.

Hello, I contacted Rex support on March 28. I got an email back immediately informing me that they get back to me within 24 hours. I didn't hear back until now. Hey everyone, currently flying my usual tubeliner on Lnav /Vnav and starting to want a new adventure. I’m looking at trying out GA twin operations, I’m looking at getting a twin add-on and some scenery to fly these ops. Anyone have any recommendations on aircraft and scenery? I’m looking to fly shorter hops and would like to find areas in close proximity where I can get some scenery (chunks of scenery in small geographical areas) I think I’ve narrowed it down to either the Alabeo C421 or the milviz 310 and probably get the rxp gps as they are on sale at the moment. im not really sure what exactly I’m looking for but thought maybe with some recommendat…

I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled and get the same result. P3D crashes and will not start after this product is installed. AppCrash says it is Kernall dll issue. After uninstalling the product system restore fixes the issue of starting P3D but I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I am working to get Latin VFR forum password updated but they don't seem to respond. I have always found their products to be very good and have never had an issue like this with them. P3D4, Windows 7, NVIDIA driver 442.19.

Hello @ll, this got buried in time a little bit, but I think that it is important to know. Since P3D 4.4 the two add-ons.cfg files no longer work as they should: https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=132273 In day-to-day usage this doesn't make a lot of difference - except when you are using the P4AO tool, which still assumes the correct operation of those files. I haven't had reports of bad things happening, this is just something to be aware of. There may be problems though when updating from an earlier P3D version or upgrading to the next P3D iteration (when that issue has been fixed) - because then the addon-definitions will…

I recently purchased the qualitywings 787 for p3d V4.5 but if i enable the autopilot the aircraft starts pitching up and down aggressively.

This is excellent news. The cause has finally been solved, and those who swore and coursed at TFDI should perhaps take out their frustrations elsewhere.
