To whom is experiencing countless issues. I have been one of the owners of P3D v3 since 2017 and p3d v4 since 2018, I was satisfied with what Lockheed Martin has to offer in beginning with this simulator, but it has all been alot of trial and error as time went on, e.g. 1. I would encounter CTD with ntdll and kernelbase according to the Event Viewer, 2. Loads default flight when ever I hit any button of the scenario window like "Change Aircraft", "Options" or any other even though I did not hit the "Start Flight" button, 3. When I edited the CFG file for P3D I turned off scenario window "SHOW_SCENARIO_WINDOW=0" I allowed it to start and load the default flight and ho…

Just did a fresh reinstall of P3D and all of it´s components and since then, the terrain looks like this at night (specially in snowy and sandy zones). I tried to fully uninstall ORBX and repair P3D scenery from the installer, but it didn´t work. So please, can anyone help me with this or pointing me in the right directon for fix it? thank you guys! Hi, I need to install P3DV4 on a new computer. Right now, I have very little installed on that system. It seems stable, so I think I am ready to go. It is a FS dedicated rig. UAC is disabled. I am not using any 3rd party virus protection - only what comes with Windows 10 pro. I have a couple questions. 1. What is the process I need to go through with the P3D license? I believe I recall that I have to deactivate the old system first. 2. Once I deactivate the old system, do I need to uninstall everything, or can I leave the files in place? I'd like to preserve the install, so I can move some of my files over to the new system. I really don't want to back ever…

Hello everyone ! I hope someone could help me on this one. Since the beginning I use P3D, I noticed that every like 6 or 7sec, a crackling noise is audible from the game. I first thought it was due to my Headset, a VOID PRO wireless Corsair, but not. I made some test and use other headset, and I could hear that sound even when playing with my monitor, it's just more quiet. So I try a fresh install, migrated the game on my SSD, and nothing change. It's more likely to be heard on certain aircraft, but it's almost everytime. Wow I just realized there's three different versions of San Diego LVFR version 1 (which is what I have), they now have a version 2 and Orbx. Is it worth changing to v2 or Orbx? Does anyone recommend one over the other? I see both are on sale (LVFR 16.99 usd and orbx about 12.50 usd) I do have Orbx SoCal FWIW

Hello — I have a myriad of Saitek controls and radio boxes all hooked up via an industrial twenty port USB 3.0 box that is connected to my simulation computer and I'm using SpadNext as the interface program. I've had a frustrating time trying to set up the map for the throttles, yokes, buttons, etc so they don't change or reset every time I start P3D. I've tried numbering the radio boxes(4) and throttles(2) in SpadNext to try and distinguish them but that doesn't always work. I've also tried saving the .xml config file from P3D after doing the setup but that doesn't work either; Any suggestions? Thanks 🙂

Hello, I just bought a Buttkicker Gamer 2 for my office chair. When doing some research in the internet I read a lot about special tools like SimVibe, OpusFX, Simshaker,... etc., which optimize the data that is sent to the Buttkicker. I think a second dedicated sound card is required for all of them? Can anyone recommend me a software that works perfect? Which one would you see as the best for Prepar3d? Thank you for all comments! Has anyone tried the "Razer Tartarus V2" keyboard on this addon or even on as a replacement on the desk for the main keyboard - since most cockpits are now 3d clickable with the mouse

Hello - Today I purchased Digital Design Liverpool and installed it into P3D v4.5. I am noticing that some of the building have completely black facades which of course is not correct. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and if so, how did you fix it. I can attach a picture if I knew how to. Cheers, Pete

Hello everyone, today, I've been experiencing the p3d menu not working at all. I can go into the settings, change my position, but when I click on change airport/aircraft, or try to go into the scenery library, it look like it's refreshing/opening a new windows, but nothing happens. I already tried deleting the p3d.cfg or the files from p3d in %appdata% with no success.

Hi, I'm hearing these callouts always in YouTube Videos from Airbus Pilots. Can someone please explain the Background in some more detail. I know what these callouts from the PNF mean but I would like to know where the indications for these callouts can be seen in the cockpit display for example. What are pilots supposed to do if for example one or even more of these actions fail. Do they hit the brakes full manual? Do they apply to/ga thrust? Hi For three months I have attempted to operate P3D with CPFlight. I have CPFlights Hardware but when trying to connect get a message saying "Wrong Protocol or connection state for the requested transaction". CPFlight have been trying to give support but have not cracked it. As I only get one email a day from them, support is slow and endless. Help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I have asked this question before, but I never received a definitive response. In short.....is there a way to disable the default P3D night lighting? What I mean by this are those "light splashes" that are scattered over the terrain when default scenery is rendered at night. The reason I would like to do this is because I have some photoscenery that has default night lighting "bleeding through" in certain locations. For the record, I do not fly over default P3D terrain at all, so I have no need for the default night lighting. Where are these textures located?

The NGX is an unparallelled 'tech-dream' to fly - as is the T7. The C182 and Lancair, allied with the GTN750, bring a whole new level of hedonistic enjoyment to my short-haul jaunts ..... but ..... I have this nagging urge to get into a good old-fashioned biplane and experience some proper 'seat of the pants' flying! To that end; can anyone suggest (or endorse), a top quality biplane for P3D? (I think I saw once somme kind of small freeware utility that was doing the same kind of thing, but I can find where now) Basically you give him a couple of airports, a time and he will gather Arr/dep traffic for those airports from online sources (like FR24), model match them with your AI planes and compile a bgl flightplans file. Then you can start your sim and have a ratherly accurate AI traffic, without spending hours updating flightplans, matching them manually with models and liveries etc.…

Do you have an idea, how a joystick-button can be easily setup to drive two possible jetway-systems (Standard & SODE) with only one button, without having to press TAB*S and choosing numbers like button 1 on your keyboard for auto-docking or undocking of jetways ? Thanks for any ideas, Steff

I recently re-installed Windows 10, with the new April update and began the arduous task of getting Prepar3D set up again. However, I quickly realized and remembered why I stopped flying at some point; I seem to be getting these long freezes that I can't exactly nail down but they are very consistent, happens in the same area(s) every time. Now, I'm not new to FSX or P3D, so freezes and stuttering isn't exactly new to me. However, this is in a magnitude beyond what I've seen from the sim to date. I'm considering updating my GPU driver even though I am very happy with how P3D is running. I want to get some feedback on the FPS limiter in NCP. It would be nice not to have to run my display at 30hz 😁 I recall a post that indicated the driver used more cpu cycles. Rob Ainscough if I recall correctly. any comments or opinions welcome!😁

I am having problems with the sound config with Dolby Cockpit Surround. I was running Dolby Cockpit Surround without any problem with an 2.1 speaker system via my onboard soundcard. To make use of the dolby sounds I additionaly installed a 5.1 soundcard and a 5.1 speaker system. I now have 2 soundsystems in my HomeCockpit: Soundblaster 5.1 > for Engine Sounds Realtek Onboard Soundcard 2.1 > for Cockpit sounds Both soundcards work in parallel. That's not the problem.
