On Tuesday April 14th 2020 there will be a new version of P3D. We all know based on the videos that we have seen that P3D v5 will be DOA without 3rd party support. That got me thinking about all the great add-ons that made P3D v4 so enjoyable. I'll share a few, but I'm more interested in knowing what were your most treasured add-ons. 1) ASP4 is still the best and my favorite weather generator. When combined with REX SkyForce 3d the results were truly remarkable. I am confused. I don't know about panel and gauge design and also C++. I looked up almost every thing about change some special designed panel switch and get developer designed gauge values via C#. ddawson (thanks a lot) made some .dll for get and set some (L:vars) I try to use them in my C# app but I could't import them into the my C# project. Today have noticed during PMDG DC6 start up that sound in my earphones is mixed - i can hear engine no.3 which is on the right wing, in my left ear. How to change that. cause did not find in Google any good solution.

So I tried the last three days to get 4.5 running and right now I am struggling with a texture (shaders?) problem. Add-ons used: Envshade Envtex AS4 + ASCA (Envtex Sky textures only) Under some circumstances, I get the bluish mess you can see on the screenshots. I never saw something similar before and do not know what is happening. They are visible on buildings (default and add-on), simobjects, and the sky. I tried multiple reinstalls of the sim (full client, content, scenery), deleted the shaders every time, deleted the P3D.cfg every time but I still think that there is some add-on incompatibility. Is up at fselite now. It's brief, but is it just me or does it seem very "meh" as a trailer when compared to all the MSFS 2020? I wanted to be excited but it seemed somehow a very bland video, an improvement yes, but either it didn't showcase the improvements well or...the improvements are incremental compared to the paradigm shift coming in MSFS 2020. What do you guys think?

Hey all! When I'm going to takeoff, my aircraft is very slow to get up to speed. It hasn't been like this before and I have exactly the same flaps set and no spoilers or brakes in. This has all of a sudden started to happend. I use aircraft from Simvitaion such as project airbus. Does anyone know what I can do? I can rotate at about 140 knots but it takes longer than usual to reach that speed. After takeoff, the speed is suddenly lowered instead of increasing and finally I get stall. I've been flying with these aircraft a lot but now all of a sudden it doesn't work very well. Sincerely Axel

Hey guys, I'm having a little problem with carenado aircraft for the models phenom 300, tbm 850 and srs gtsx, I tried updating the navdata for these aircraft with my navigraph sub. installation paths are correct but when I go check they are still have the old databases showing. does anybody know if I'm missing something or did carenado never updated their stuff. I submitted a ticket to carenado few days ago but still no answer from them. any help is appreciated Thank you!

Right in the middle of the Covid-19 isolation, my PFC throttle system has (yet again) let me down. I have thrown more money at repairing their shoddy, inadequate 'professional' unit than I care to admit. So no more of that. Why on earth any company insists on using unreliable potentiometers in these units is beyond me. I'm planning on getting the Honeycomb system when released. Does anyone have any info on timeframe for release? Set back by Covid-19 im sure.

I have a Jetline system (less than 2 years old) and it has a 1TB Samsung solid state drive and a regular hard drive. However, I want to be ready for the new simulators coming. I currently run P3d v4.5, and I am looking forward to the new version 5. I expect to replace version 4.5 with version 5 on my current SSD. However, I don't want to just have a regular HD left for the upcoming MSFS 2020, so today I order a Samsung NVME 970 to plug into my Jetline. Ken (Technical GURU) at Jetline recommended this SSD as simple to plug into motherboard and it will give me the 1 TB of space ready for MSFS whenever that comes. Very reasonably priced on Amazon. Excuse my anticipation on this, but its now the third day after P3Dv5 release was announced and with the exception of A2A and Leonardo none of the other aircraft developers have many any statement. I find it weird, as LM has said in all ways that they were in close contact with developers to assure backwards compatibility. It seems like aircraft developers were waiting until the release announcement to start testing their aircraft. I can't think of any other logical explanation. Can you?

Please don't judge. Getting back into the hobby after a 10 year break, when my wife passed away... I'm CURRENTLY using an XBox 360 controller for Prepar3dV4.5. Everything is working fine, except when I look around the cockpit, and let go of the stick, it snaps back to center. Anyone know how I can disable this? I've looked high and low in the sim, and can't find a setting.. Any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, So i recently updated some specs for my computer and in conjunction reformated my harddrives and re-installed P3D, ORBX etc. After I had installed ORBX trees and all other landscape addons i have, i noticed while flying that some (the majority) looked very bright-green and dominated on the vegetation side, cities are full of these trees and im just wondering if this is normal? Because it looks quite strange... I will attach three pictures showing how these trees stand out and almost look unrealistic.. is this normal from ORBX trees? Cause i cannot remember it being like this previously when using it.. (I have my Autogen vegetation set to max) Thank…

Hi, I just signed up for a 3 month FsAerodata and look at the latest installer - picture is worth thousand words. I wonder if now that the NDA is lifted, whether any of the beta testers could comment on whether certain freeware products were applied to v5 and what the results were? I have particularly in mind the AIMOCI from AIG, AI Ships by Henrik and Freemesh X? cheers Ian

Hi I have just bought the Cairo Airport (https://secure.simmarket.com/armi-project-cairo-international-airport-heca-fsx.phtml), but there is no way I can get it to work. ground level of the airport is different to the surrounding area (none of that area seems to be level). Also, the 05L runway seems the disappear when you get very close to the runway. Is there a fix for this? Thanks, Gaz
