Hi, Not sure if it is the right place to ask buy as Vpilot's forum seems down, I take a chance, I used Vpilot host on my Sim computer and ckient on a remote one. (v2.4.0) Everything worked fine. I update Vp host on sim's puterto 2.4.6. and on the remote one but whwn I launch Vpilot on the remote, I get a message sauing that Vp did not find a sim installed and will close. Really don't know what to do to continue to use Vp on the remote computer. Thanks and sorry for my English.

Hello, Does anybody know how V5 performs in VR? If those who could test it could comment : do the more than 50% performance increase in fps that has been mentioned in another thread also applies to VR? Any other changes regarding the UI or other aspect of VR? Thanks Vvince

Of course, I can't get to P3dv5 download yet because it's so busy, but I thought I'd ask a question about ORBX. I plan to do a brand new complete install and delete p3dv4.5 from my computer P3d v4.5 is on my C drive which is a Samsung solid state HD, and I want to install P3d v5 on a brand new NVM3 Samsung 970 SSD Will my current ORBX portfolio in Central automatically point to P3D v5 in a new drive (probably D) when I start to "reinstall" all my ORBX files? I plan to keep my C drive SSD nice and clean and ready for MSFS 2020. It's going to be an exciting year for us simmers. Stan

Yesterday I did a flight and everything went smooth and well but today I had a problem with loading the fuel. In the image, I loaded 59216kgs and that shows in the system page (~56.1kgs) but the total fuel (far right red circle) shows 76.1 kgs. Anyone know the reason for this? In P3d on the Options - Display screen there is and option to save your display settings. Is the profile saved in a file somewhere and if so where is the file stored?

Can any of you gurus put together some foolproof instructions on how to migrate from v4 to v5 ? What I 'd like to do is: 1) install v5 2) import anything and everything I can safely import into v5 3) delete v4.5 Thanks in advance

Interesting, I tried to add the Earth Sims Scilly Isles tonight using add-on.xml It uses an elevation file EGHE_StMarys_ALT.BGL which used to go in Scenery/World/Scenery I tried adding it as layer 3 as scenery so it was loaded immediately after Scenery/World/Scenery from the scenery.cfg - but it didn't work. I also then as a test placed it in Scenery/World/Scenery and it didn't work there either? :s The rest of the scenery seems to be ok bar the wave effects which are now vertical, anda few textures which are reported as missing in the contenterror log but which seem to work fine in P3D3? Has anyone got the Scilly Isles working correctly in v4 please? …

Well, seems like the writing is on the wall. Today, I have no idea what happened, but my V4 autogen just disappeared, after I had waited for 25 minutes for the scenario to load (stuck for 25 mins on the autogen load (70%-80%). I wanted to do one last flight in V4, but honestly can't be arsed to troubleshoot this issue at this late stage. Perhaps a reinstall of Scenery or Content would have done the trick but, nah. So it's the uninstall button for me I'm afraid. V4 was brilliant, but I'm sure V5 will ultimately way surpass it in many ways - even if there is a bit of a wait to get everything V5 ready

With XP11 going vulkan and P3D5 going DX12. Which API do you think offers better performance gains? I wonder if they ever decided to go with vulkan for P3D if it would run better than DX12.

Hi everyone. I was wondering if there was a tool out there that can show you what an airport looks like from above, and where each gate is where... I have bought Gatwick Airport (EGKK), and its great, but there's a great part of the airport that I know the gate numbers. I've gone through loads of gate numbers to place my aircraft and it's never there. It's almost like that part of the airport has gates you aren't able to use. Anyone who knows something for my files to show me what the airport is programed like. Thanks, Gaz

Hi all, With vPilot, is it possible that if you don't have a correct livery installed for a user on the network, let's say as an example there was a BAW A320 but I didn't have a BAW livery installed, is it possible to get that aircraft to show as just another A320 with a different livery, rather than the default CRJ - I believe xPilot does this, just wondering if it's possible with vPilot? All of a sudden I lost the RC4 display window in my cockpit of P3D4 fsuipc version 5.155. This display windows works fine in my FSX - no loss there It used to be a green bar in P3D4 but now there is no green bar at all, RC4 program opens up OK. Can someone please help me get back the display window? Thanks guys John

With so much time to kill indoors these days I have been actually attempting little projects I had shelved long before. This is one of them. Yes, I do have Alpha India Group's superb app and AI installed. Amazing stuff there. But it is all the latest paints. My favorite airport of all time is Kai Tak and thought it would be nice to throw back in there aircraft and paints from yesteryear... like the 90's. I figured good 'ol World of AI era files would be the best chance to capture some of those but I need true FSX models to work in P3Dv4. So far little luck in finding them and converting them myself... well let's just say I don't have THAT much time on my hands, ha…

I plan to do a completely new installation of P3d v5. I am assuming that ORBX (among everything else) will have to be completely reinstalled. I mean ALL the Global stuff, the airports, the countries, the regions, etc. Am I right? Stan

Posted this on the Lockheed-Martin P3D forum, didnpt get a response. Does anyone know if V5 addresses the core 0 bottleneck? (That is, that core 0 always runs at 100%, and hence the single thread performance of the processor has a big impact on overall performance.) Lack of a response om the LM forum suggests the answer is no, which would be bad news.
