I'm trying to download and install my last hold out...T.E. Southern California...and Central keeps saying that connection is interrupted. Yeah...P3D, FSX, yeah...they are dying for lack of users....LOLOLOLOLOLOL! Yeah...tell that to my attempt to download during the 40% off sale as I type...yeah...user base dying...

I have all the N/A Regions.... South Cali North Cali PNW Pacific Northwest Central Rockies Northern Rockies Pacific Fjords ----------------------------------------- Southern Alaska (which I don't think any of the T.E.'s cover...or reach north to... actually all of them, if i have forgotten a couple...and the question is...with T.E. Washington, T.E. Oregon, T.E. North and Southern California installed, what can be for N/A Regions as above be uninstalled, with no loss of anything they also have included with them. Are all the T.E. West Coast states ..do they cover EVERYTHING that all the N/A Regions of the West Coast cove…

Hello. Can somebody explain the proper way of launching AS in P3D v5.3 with EA on. I ask because sometimes there are no clouds at the start of the flight, but METAR says Overcast and I have wait several minutes in order to get cloud depiction How vital is it to load a flightplan in AS (I usually do it, but unsure of the actual outcome) Should my flight in P3D already be loaded at the gate and then initiate AS?

Hi there, I was wondering, is there a way to "extend" the autumn season? I'm already getting snow textures in Middle-Europe right now which isn't exactly true to life. Can I tell the sim to use autumn-textures until mid December or so? (Just using a different date isn't doing it for me as I always (re)fly real flights with correct times and dates...) Thanks, Stu

As you know, P3D comes with the Beaver, but it was packaged as an A.I. plane...no Virtual Cockpit or cabin...but... ...if you have Steam FSX SE on your system, or have access to it, you can transfer over THAT Beaver into your Airplane Folder and then will get back the full aircraft interior. Here it is...now running in P3D: What I did, was install FSX (Steam SE) grabed all the other aircraft that comes with it...put them over to my v4.5 and v5.3, and then uninstalled FSX Steam SE....

Just posted my prep, taxi, and Departure out of Orbx's Key West bound for Myrtle Beach, S.C. this morning... in Screen Shots Forum. As another posted, this is the most fluid sim, in animation I now own. Compared to XP11/MSFS, this sim is now fully torqued out, stutter free, on my 12 year old system. I just can't get enough of this sim...and is now my first go to, of all of them on the system. What L.M. has done in this version of the franchise, is simply amazing! On my just posted (still in flight to Myrtle...) I highlighted all the great features of GSX II. Can't leave home without that one! Cheers, Ses

Hi Folks, I see TFDi posted a dev update on their upcoming MD-11 on Wed this week. While there's till some way to go, I can see the team have made some good progress with bringing this aircraft to life.No mention of a release date yet. Of particular note was the announcement of pricing (~90 USD) and that it will be interestingly available as a base pack with two flavours thus allowing the user to choose whether the base is a passenger or freighter based variant. And from there you can elect the other as an expansion pack. This seems like a very good approach to me and I would probably elect to go with the freighter variant. …

Is there somewhere I can check the above? The SIDS, Stars etc appear to be very old. Importing flight plan only show Departure and arrival, no waypoints. Had problem creating FPL folder. C:\Users\Dash8\Documents\SimObjects\Airplanes\TFDi_Design_717\Documents\Company Routes

How to make the cockpit in 5.2 brighter. What was a problem in 5.1 I think has deteriorated in this version. The cockpit is crazy too dark and I can not find a setting that improves this. /Thomas

Hi all, So i was just flying around and i realised i'm not seeing any stars. I do use Stargazer but the issue is the same with that uninstalled too. This is on a vanilla install of P3D. It seems with EA turned off in the latest version you cannot see hardly any stars. All my settings are the same so i have no idea what is going on. I have added an image of what it looked like in 5.2 compared to 5.3. If anybody knows of anything i can do to get better star visuals while having EA turned off i would very much appreciate it. First is what i had and second is what it is now.

Over the years, Ive never been able to find really good add ons for NYC. Haven't checked into it in several years though. What are the best NYC add ons for scenery and airports? I am running 5.2.

With the recent discussion about AIG it reminded me of a great companion utility - Ai Companion. This is a freeware program that interrogates both BGL files and the newer AIGFP ones in P3D v4/5. The program then gives you many options on how to display the resultant data. Live Traffic displays all Ai aircraft in P3D but this can be so overwhelming there are filters provided to limit the aircraft to those moving. The user is free to display what suits them. The Airport View switches to the nearest airport both with your aircraft on the ground and when airborne. Departure and Arrival options are available. One of the most useful features is Flight Finder…

I always wanted to use E.A., but never knew that I could turn off HDR (too dark cockpit, etc) in the .cfg file but still enjoy E.A. But since finding that out on the forum..and turning it off (in the .cfg), I have great cockpit rendering (illumination) with still using E.A. for all its benefits... This is flying out of Palm Beach south towards Key West (eventually), at 3,500 ASL, over Orbx T.E. Florida with all the graphic sliders to the right.

I'm thinking of getting a 737 for P3D v5.3. Should I go with PMDG or IFly? I feel uncertain with PMDG and their lack of clarity on further updates for P3D. At the same time I have a feeling , right or wrong, that PMDG would be ahead of IFly in terms of system depth. Thankful for tips. /Thomas

Can anyone who owns the ORBx Malmo airport scenery for P3D let me know how much of the surrounding area is covered with high resolution photoscenery and autogen? It does not specifically state (or illustrate) this in ORBx Central.

I've been using AIG for just over a year and once you get it up and running, it's fantastic. However, the one click installer for me is far from that. I'm constantly being asked to download alternative models etc. So I have to sit in front of my PC for hours. I've selected OCI and i've selected 'Ignore manual downloads' but it still keeps asking me to manually download things...! Am I doing something wrong?

Hello everyone. I have a weird FPS behavior. The point is that even at very heavy loaded scenery like EGLL with ton of clouds and etc with FSLabs and PMDG I have stable 50-55 fps, but as soon as I climding on altitude or on cruise altiude, I have stuttery 30-40 fps even when it's CAVOK and no clouds or overcast. After landing I again gain stable smooth performance. I have seen a lot of streamers who have 70+ fps on cruise. Maybe someone has a solution? Prepar3D v5.3 HF1, PMDG aircrafts, fslabs, ASP3D+ASCA, chaseplane, ORBX base, openlc (all regions). 1920x1080 monitor, prepar settings almost maxed out

Well, I ran this morning v5.3 HF1 LF, and as soon as I was at my airport, I got complete pause/lock up, and then release...for about 10 seconds...and another full animation pause/lock up...and on and on...every 10 seconds or so! The short story....it was Active Sky, that had not properly shut down and disengaged from P3D. Now here's the part to note...this happened when I shut P3D down and then shut down A.S. This morning, I did not run A.S. but got those lock ups...etc. I then REBOOTED my system, and ran P3D again...and lock ups...still there. So...I ran P3D again...and started A.S. Low and behold, a window popped up stating that a session was alread…

I was given a Sony Blue Tooth Noise Cancelling headset (WH-1000XM4) so I could sim in peace (the households not mine) for Xmas. So yes all the blue tooth stuff works fine for music, video internet etc all connected etc. BUT not with P3DV5.3. The sound panel in P3D lists only the default devices (plus NVIDIA sound controls). I presumed the default device would automatically be redirected via WIN10 to the headset just like all the other program sounds are but it does not. Anybody have a solution to this or tried using a bluetooth headset with the sim?

Sorry to be a pain here but I am about to upgrade my sim to version 5.3.1 and I note that there are different ways to carry out this process. All I need is a bit on confirmation. Firstly I have downloaded V 5.3.1 including the hot fix and that lies in my download folder. Am I right in saying that all I need to do next is to uninstall the client, content and scenery folders (just those 3) from my Programmes/Features leaving the P3D v5 Academic file in place. Then delete my shaders file. Then reboot my PC and then unzip the P3D v5 Academic file 5.3.15.28130. and hopefully that is it. Really sorry if th…
