PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Using the included tutorial, LNAV and VNAV are armed and engaged but the aircraft does not follow the programmed route. It continues to follow the initial runway heading up in a straight line. The MCP is fully configured with the two FDs engaged, the AT is armed and the green indicating lights are on, but the arcraft completely ignores the LNAV path on the ND.Any ideas? sam bertien

How do you go about flying in a circle in the PMDG 737 at a fixed distance (10 nm)? In a small plane, one keeps the tail of the VOR2 arrow perpendicular to the flight path while making small corrections to the distance as explained in a video I found on Youtube. I can do it without any problems in small airplanes. Since one is on a circle centered on the VOR, one's trajectory is always perpendicular to the VOR bearing. However as far as I know in the 737 there is no VOR2 arrow, so one only has the distance from the VOR as a guide. Hello - I am a new customer and started using the PMDG 737NG with FSX. I love the product, but wish I could figure out how to make the engines louder like I hear as a passenger (in Virtual Cockpit mode). As recommended my sound settings in FSX are all at 50%. I tried increasing in the FMC but that did not work as I hoped. When I change views in Virtual or 2-D mode, they can be heard slightly louder, but for some reason I barely hear anything other than the recirculation fans when facing forward at takeoff power or reverse. I know it may be unrealistic, but I should hear at least some resemblence of the engines like I have seen others on YouTube posting. Any…

Hi guys! Newbie here, first post in the PMDG forum. I am trying to learn in depth the pmdg 737ngx and have already read the whole FCOM once. The problem is, there is to much information and i can't remember (or even understand) all the critical stuff. And, it wouldn't be practical to read the whole thing 20 more times. Hey guys, I am having 3 problems with my PMDG 737 add-ons and FSX. 1) My settings menu does not remember my last settings(video, joystick, sound, etc) if I close the program. When I restart the program it is completely different than what I set them to. 2) Weird sound issues. I cant hear sounds like the voices for the push back or the toggling of the switches. 3) PMDG does not remember that I want it completely dark in the aircraft when I first start the free flight. I set it to CLK or whatever on the FMC simulator options. Then when I come back later for another flight it auto starts my engines and everything which is what I do not want. C…

Hello, Has anyone been able to properly open the NGX paint kit in Corel PaintShop Pro X4? The PMDG site states the file is compatible with PSP, but when I try to open the master fuselage, my PSP separates all of the layers in different windows (not all layers in one display, it seems to open each layer as almost like a separate file until it eventually crashes after about 80 windows). Would like to get my hands into some FSX painting to complement my FS9 downloads here on AVSIM. Thank you.

Hi all, I'm definitely not new to the NGX and have flown many perfect hours with it. However I recently upgraded my PC (completely new PC) and reinstalled everything from scratch. All has been going well except for a problem with my NGX autopilot. Not sure if it is me doing something wrong but I never had this previously: With the FMS set up and a route programmed, I get airborne and shortly thereafter switch on the AP. Flying LNAV and VNAV and all is perfect for a while for 15 to 20 minutes perhaps. The aircraft tracks the lateral and vertical path, speed is correct and all is good. I would like to know if there are any saved files for the FMC, which I could download and use in my fsx. And if yes, where would I put them... I have tried with the tutorial 1 to set up the FMC data and failed each time somewhere down the process. I was trying for 3 days, 3 hours or more each time and restarting from point 1 many times and I got fed up. Does anyone have saved files they could send me, of any flight anywhere? Thanks.

I just purchased the 737 NGX for Fsx yesterday After some initial installation problems ( involving the Direct X download ) I managed to resolve these and completed the online activation Unfortunately in the 2d and vc cockpit my gauges are without figures ( inc the AP panel) The rest of gauge data is there e.g. on the attitude gauge the speed tape / artificial horizon and altitude tape are there ( and they move) but there are no speed / altitude or fpm figures Any ideas ( could this mean that the Direct X issue was not really resolved ?) I am having difficulties with my VNAV. I try to engage it, and it disengages after a few seconds. I ran the maintenance feature on the FMS and that had no effect. Any ideas?

Hi my PMDG 737-700 is not stopping fast enough. i came in with an ias of 145 flaps set 30degrees. autosbrakes set to 3 on a 6446 runway at chicago midway. when i touched down spoilers went up and autobrakes were enabled. the autobrakes didnt go down until my nose wheel touched the ground. by that time i was 3/4 down the runway. then the autobrakes went on and off and i did not bounce. can somebody please help me with this problem.

In real life they have a smaller cockpit with overhead much lower than default pmdg virtual cockpit. Personally, I dont fly 737, but I'm a real world pilot too, been in NG cockpit many times. Every so often if I switch windows for something, and come back to the virtual cockpit, after flipping around views, its like the sounds don't all come back, and I'm left with whatevers there when you take away the engine noises. Anyone else have this happen? Patrick Boynton

Hi guys Just noticed, if I leave my mouse curser over a click spot or interactive panel or gauge, I get a huge decrease in fps. If I move my mouse curser to the windscreen or neutral spot, fps gradually returns to average. Is this normal, or do I have some kind of issue here . Cheers Ivan

hey guys, couple question 1) Did both airlines fly the NG pre-merger or just one? 2) I see some Cockpit pictures with the old steam backup guages, older MCP (I think Honeywell), none have HUDS and some have the newer MCP (Collins) and electronic StyBy Instruments. Who had what? 3) Why do some of them use the "steam guage" layout for the DU's vs the new style? I've seen pictures of United NG's with both. It just seems odd to me that there are so many different configs on them...even post merger. I hope someone get answer my questions.

Have been installing PMG 747 liveries for a while OK. Have just bought 737NGX and despite following "Install Liveries" guide the new "easier install manager" I can not install anything. Install manager "stops working" Is this a Zip download problem ? I need help. What worries me is that PMDG are proposing to adopt their new Livery Manager across the board of all of their products. Can someone help me with the basics, looking at the livery posts on AVSIM there are loads of experts. Thanks.
