LINDA Support

Hello I have P3D v4 installed, together with Linda 3.0.6, FSUIPC5.xx, and the PMDG737NGX. For my VRI MCP1 panel, I used a prophile, that always used with FSX. In P3d, this file also works good. All buttons and knobs function properly. There is only one exception: the ALT knob does not react. Can anyone help me out?? Henk

Hi There, I am having a problem where following upgrading to P3D 4.3, the latest Linda versions and the latest 4.3 compatible FSL A320, some of the commands I have assigned to my hardware are no longer working. Specific examples are engine mode, engine start & cutoff, Parking Brake, weather PWS while others seem to be fine. Any suggestions gratefully received. Linda version is 3.0.7, Module is FSLabs A3xx 0.13b, P3D is 4.3 and FSL A320 is the latest 4.3 version. Does the CDU III work in p3dv4? I have tried to use the VRinsight software and my computer sees it as a second monitor but the screens on it are black. The little light on the back of the unit is on and orange. I have it connected to my video card with a DVI cable.

Hi all , using :P3Dv4.2 on win7 some weeks ago i got my combo 2 at home , installing linda (at the moment version 3.0.7) and uipc 5.132c , and the whole thing worked like a charm I like to fly and experiment with the virtavia c-17 and saw that not all functions i wanted were in the fsx default , so i clicked on new aircraft, called it virtavia c-17 globemaster , copied the *fsx default to it and hoppa , test it so far so good , all standard buttons and knobs were functioning like before , but now the ones i could not manage by the standard options from the standard libs. for example : the antiskid switch => programmed it at first with the stan…

Hi all, I have recently got a MCP Combo II - Boeing and have been encouraged to use Linda rather than VRiSim to operate the unit. I have downloaded the Official Linda Manual, brian 747's Introduction to Linda , lots of reviews and other miscellaneous articles from the internet which I will need to study more closely after the initial read. I am having a problem using LINDA with the MaddogX and my MCP Combo Boeing II. The displays will received the information from the sim, but for some reason none of the buttons work. LINDA shows everything is hooked up correctly. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Hello I had big problems with my system as a result I have to re-install LINDA. I had mapped and assigned the switches on my Hotass Warthog throttle to my PMDG 737NGX. Which are the files that I need to recover that store the settings? Clive Alexander

I am new to Linda, and using what resources I can find to self teach myself the intricacies of this application. Right now, I am at a point of simply assigning FSX default aircraft commands to my Saitek Yoke and Throttle controls (using the MS FSX Default aircrafts module that came with LINDA). I am trying to find how to assign a PTT button. On press it would be to initiate broadcast, and on release that same button would disconnect. Is anyone able to provide me some direction?

Hello, I have my Hotas Warthog throttle switches assigned to PMDG 737NGX. I wish to export these setting to the FSLABS A320X. I have selected the FSLABS A32X module and copy from existing aircraft, then create. No settings have appeared in the listing when I select the A320X. Please can you advise Clive Alexander

Hello. I'm a user of LINDA and have the latest module for the FSLabs A320 (0.10a). With the new update (compatibility with P3Dv4.3) A320-X v2.0.1.258 some LVARs must have changed. My ENG START button function, ENG Master Switches on/off, etc. are now triggering other rotaries (like the pedestal light knobs). Is there any chance for a revision on the module functions? I wouldn't mind hunting them myself, but so far I was unable to find out how to get the console to display the codes for the switches...

Hello, I'm trying to set up a new aircraft module for the Carenado SR22T. This helps me to get used to Linda and Lua-script writing. I asked myself how getting knob sounds is done. It seems to be that these are FSX/P3D internal controls. But I can't figure out how to set this up even if I saw in other scripts how this is written in a function. Can anyone help me ? Hi, First, I am new to Linda so any guidance will help a lot. I have a Thrustmaster Warthog throttle and am trying to set up the speed brake switch for use in a fighter aircraft. In the F-18, the speed brake position is variable and can be stopped in any position. The speed brake switch is a three position switch, spring loaded to rear (extend speed brake), centre and forward (non-spring loaded retract.) I want to be able to extend the speed brake as long as the switch is being held in the rear position. I want the speed brake to stop at the current position when the button is released. I am in need of some help to resolve an issue with the Leo Bodnar BU0836x card. I have 2 cards - one to control the EFIS and another to control the Overhead Panel light switches. I have been running just fine with the BU0836X card for the EFIS. But today, I tried to add a second card. The first problem I noticed is FSX would crash when I loaded the PMDG 737NGX airplane. I was able to work around it for now. However, when I try to use LINDA to map the second card, it switches to my original BU0836X card. It appears that LINDA cannot separate the 2 BU0836X cards and it's inputs.

Hi, i tried to download and install bot PMDG and MADDOG2018 last modules for my vrINSIGHT MCP COMBO but i have these problems: 1. All buttons and switch dont work 2. only the SPD , CRS and HDG readouts display work while ALT is ready when in flight. I dont understand why because all settings in linda are wery well no errors, comunication with prepar ok. P3D v4 with pmdg737 and maddog2018. many thanks, Simone

Hi, I am on Linda 3.0.5.735 and I have FSUIPC Version 5.1.3.1 and P3D Version 4.2.21.24048. I only have a Throttle and Joystick attached. I have no modules installed. I am simply trying to find out how the switches work in the cockpit of the default F-16 which comes with P3D V4.2, or in fact any aircraft which comes with P3D. I have saved the joystick and throttle but have not assigned any buttons as i am only interested in exploring the switches in the cockpit and how to control them. I have discovered that LINDA can offer me great flexibility in controls for my aircraft when combined with FSUIPC. I've got all the prerequisites and have been following 'brian747's excellent beginner's manual as I plunge into this new adventure. I have come across a few questions in the initial aspects that I haven't esily found answers to ... 1) General question ... is LINDA meant to run along with FSX? ie when FSX is running so is LINDA (the .exe) 2) Installation preparation question ... in brian747's document it states "the Linda manual also suggests editing the standard .xml file to remove all exisiting assignments". Hi, after migrating from P3Dv3 to v4, I reinstalled latest fsuipc and Linda versions, I lost my settings files in the process. Anyway, I started configuring the PMDG NGX and for some reason I can't map any default FSX/P3D commands anymore to my switches. NGX commands works well like always but only default FSX commands won't work with P3Dv4. I only found one person with the same issue online who seems to have resolved it but he didn't really explain how he fixed it. Any idea ?

I apologize as I am sure this is posted elsewhere. I did a search but I could not find a solution to my problem. I recently purchased a Vrinsight MCP ii Boeing and I cannot get it to work with the Majestic Q400 Pro for P3D V4. PMDG aircraft work fine, but no matter what I try nothing comes up with the Q400. I am sure it is something simple. Does it have to do with the VriSim program? I have no idea what aircraft to select when I start this for the Q400. Any help, including directing me where I need to be looking would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

Morning all, Following on from my Saitek Mode switch post, which I setup and it works perfectly with the MAddogX. Now, I load up another aircraft and have nothing at all, key assignments are all blank, rightly so. Therefore how do I copy the key setup from the MaddogX to all my other aircraft? Thanks
