LINDA Support

After burning several good hours that could’ve been used actually flight simming, I’m reaching out to the community. I have the VR Insight MCP Combo 1. I bought it in 2008 and it worked originally great with FSX. Now after all these years I’m running FSX SE, Linda, and a variety of Go Flight modules and want to include my MCP beyond more than a night light and an ornament on my glare shield. The MCP is responding to inputs, and Linda is showing three greens, but beyond that I’m lost. Getting this integrated has been my goal for over a week, and it is the last item for me to call this phase of my home cockpit complete. Not looking to fly anything more complex than Carenado…

After setting up everything on my new rig, I wanted to connect my self built switchboard (EFIS and lights for the 737) running a Leo board again. Everything seems fine, Saitek yoke and Leo board are recognized in Windows, P3D and FSUIPC, keypresses are recognized as they should. Also inside LINDA everything looks fine, FSUIPC and the yoke and Leo are recognized and marked as ok. Anyway, no matter what I do, LINDA will not recognize any keypresses when I want to setup my buttons ans switches. What am I missing or messing up? Help highly appreciated. Regards, Peter

The part of the script which I have been working with is the element which allows the AP Pitch and Turn thumb knob and dial to be operated. Hi there, Need your help on this - I am looking for the LINDA command for the below functions: 1. Radio Panel Switch on the Overhead 2. Oxygen Mask Testing Both of them are in the CL items of Aerosoft Airbus Professional so I want to do the joystick key-mapping to avoid the use of the mouse. Can you please assist? Hi, i have a Little Problem. I`m using UTLive (FlightOne). I can reset Traffic with STRG + Shift + r If i`m using "record Keypress" in LINDA for this but the traffic doesn`t reset in Simulator. If i`m using this Keycombo with my Keyboard it works properly. Do you have an advice to fix this Problem?

Hi Folks! This is an introduction post and a request for a LINDA learning curve reality check. I’m tearing my whole system down and putting in a new system over the next few months. My intent is to better utilize my new TM Warthog HOTAS and Throttle along with other hardware (noted below) in the new rig. Hi, I noticed that in my last P3D installation Linda flips beacon light switch when the module loads. For first 2 or 3 seconds after I load my C182 beacon switch is in on position (like I left it on the previous flight) and then it goes off when Linda module loads (exactly when I get simconnect message). Is there something I can change in config files to disable any changes in A2A aircraft? It's P3Dv4, latest FSUIPC, Linda + C182 module.

Hello, I am trying to record some key strokes in particular Shift+Ctrl+T (Ctrl+Shift+T) and the dialog window ends up saying "none", where as with Shift+Ctrl+R, this is repeated in the Key Record Window... I have ensured that no other event is assigned to Shift+Ctrl+T inside P3Dv4 and otherwise. Shift+Ctrl+Y is another example that does not seem to record. 🙂 is there a restriction in Linda (3.0.9) - FYI I am using FSUIPC5.150 and can assign Shift+Ctrl+T (Ctrl+Shift+T) with it. Cheers

Hello everyone, got myself an X56 which has provides a mode switch. When I switch through the modes Linda does not recognize it. Only when I am in the programming mode of the Saitek software and switch through the modes Linda receives the input. Any advice on what to do? BR g

I am having a job with LINDA and the CS757-300 III. When LINDA Control Panel comes on when the P3Dsim is initiated, and after it has synch'd, despite showing that CS aircraft, when trying to get LINDA to do what i want using the Default FSX to set say things like Strobe Lights on, or Parking Brake On/Off, in the CS757-300 RB535EB4, that's where I am having a problem. For example, if I set Button 6 on my MS FF2 Sidewinder joystick, pressing button 6 I can see the the flaps being set instead, although I never set button 6 via that Default FSX choices, to operate the flap lever. If I set joystick Button 5 to turn on the Strobe Lights, nothing happens. And I do Save afte…

Hi, I downloaded LINDA 3.0.9.809 and have reg FSX Deluxe Edition & reg FSUIPC 4.974 installed. The manual says to ".. unzip the folder and copy the \Modules and \Sound folders...". There is no \Sound folder. Also the inclusion of "..\Your Flt Sim folder" in the folder tree is a bit weird, any folder before \Modules is not really necessary. I copied the \Modules folder into C:\FSX. Running Linda and going to Setup Joysticks, all seems ok. When going to Maintenance there is no value at the Linda Source. Selecting C:\FSX\Modules gives me an error msg: "There was a problem accessing the LINDA install folder C:\FSX\Modules\Your Flt Sim folder". And…

Hi Guys, I am trying to trace what the hex code is for an event triggered by an xml gauge mouse click so that i can trigger it instead by a Lvar command. I have ticked all logging boxes in Linda but nothing is logged when i do the mouse click. My logger is working ok because if i switch all Lvars on i see Lvar activity. Unfortunately this mouse click event does not have an Lvar associated with it so no Lvar activity is shown for it. Cheers Stinger

Hi, If I want to modifiy a function for a given aircraft in actions.lua, I will copy it to user.lua for the same aircraft and modify it here. Will variables declared in actions.lua be 'visible' from the user.lua function, or will I have to declare ir again? rgds

Hello, I have a little problem with the comm radios on the PMDG 777 using MCP Combo 2 (Boeing type). On the MCP Combo, I tune a frequency on any comm radio and I can see it on the standby (right side), then push the button for switch to active (left side) and I can see this new frequecy active on the simulator, but in the MCP show the same freq that on standby, not change. Anybody help me?

I am trying to set up an MCP for FSLabs A320 using Mobiflight but this relies on FSUIPC or EventID's to work. Does LINDA work with Mobiflight or can someone point me in the right direction as the best way to proceed in getting things working....

Sorry for this stupid newbie question, but it is hard to figure things out without documentation. There is a nice aircraft specific actions.lua file with hundreds of wonderful functions available for my aircraft. I would like to create my own lua module that uses logic that calls some of these existing functions in the actions.lua file. My lua file would then be called by FSUIPC as a button press to do amazing things :-). Is there a way to call functions that exist in the actions.lua file or do I have to copy the actual function code from Actions.lua to my lua code for this to work? I guess, in other words, is there an "include" directive or something similar…

Hi Folks, Bought a new button box with six rotary encoders - as it stands now - I didn't think this through enough and now realize the error of my ways... I had visions of simply mapping the encoders to such functions as HDG Bug, CDI, Alt Sel, Prop Levers - Mixture Levers - etc etc etc - - - and they would work... As I'm sure everyone else knows - this is problematic - they're easy enough to map BUT it would take me an hour to spin the HDG Bug enough times to make 360 degrees - similar results with other attempts... Is there any easy to implement solutions available (I'm not a programmer) ??? Thanks... Regards, Scott

Hi Guys, I recieved my new MCT Combo II Boeing style. It took me one complete day to get it connected to my PC with the VRinsight software, but that works now. Now i am already busy for another complete day to get the MCP Combo to work with Linda. (searched this forum but can not find out what the problem is) Linda (wich is working o.k. with my go-Flight modules) is indicated that all is installed well (three greens), the com port (com5) is set o.k. (also in FSUIPC) and the MCP Combo is connected into the PC USB connector (not into any hub). I use the CDM2.12.28 driver software and the VRinsight software is not running. Hello. I have MCP Combo 2 Boeing type and use it by LINDA in P3D V4. Do I have to close P3D and turn off the power of MCP Combo every flight? I can succeed to load the aircraft to MCP Combo at first flight after I start P3D. When I turn ON the power of MCP Combo, the message is "VRinsight, Flight Dream Supplier". When I start P3D, the message is changed to "MCP Select Your Aircraft and FLY Now". In this case I can use it. However, from second flight, for example changing aircraft, location and so on, MCP Combo does not recognize the aircraft. The message on MCP Combo remains "VRinsight, Flight Dream Supplier" although LINDA is ready. Could you tell me how …

Hello, I have been a fan of Linda for many years. I installed P3Dv4.4 and Linda3.0.9. I would like you to help me solve the problem that I encounter since this new installation. 1 / If I run P3Dv4, opening linda does not happen automatically. When P3Dv4 is open I am forced to open Linda manually, which does not find the way. G: \ Prepar3Dv4 \ Modules \ Linda / System / init.lua, while the file exists.
