Hi Folks. I have recently discovered LINDA and have a very basic beginner question. With the help of Stinger2K2 I now have my CH yoke buttons working various switches and knobs in FSX. However, I have now seen various modules and one in particular for the RealAir Duke B60 piston v2. My very basic question is this. What do I do with a module? When I look at the modules I can see the code which at present means very little to me although I can follow through what happens but have no clue as to what the various numbers and symbols mean. That's not quite true, I know about the offset numbers but do not fully know how to use them yet. I would like to know where to pl…

  3. Hello, I had not flown for four or five months and so I updated my flight software: P3D4.5 HOTFIX, GSX2, AS for P3DV4, LINDA 3.0.12, driver NVIDIA 436.30. I programmed a co-pilot of 777 as FS2Crew in LUA. During my last two long-haul flights two crashes reported by FSUIPC5.log: First flight DNMM FACT: Line 2349: 7773498 LUA.8: Crash C0000005 at 7FEC58639AA: "C: \ P3D4 \ Modules \ 777NGX.lua". Second flight KBFI UBBB with this: 7. When requested or when red errors reported or when requested please do the following: Go to LINDA Setup page. Tick Developer Mode, GUI and LUA boxes. Hi, I have a couple of airports where performance appears to be better if I switch off dynamic lighting. I was wondering if there was a way, using LINDA, that I could toggle dynamic lighting on/off with the bush of a button, instead of having to pop into the graphics options menu?

  5. Started by Hossi,

Hi, I have two questions about the LINDA Editor. From a friend I got three files, which I had to exchange for three files in the Modules folder from P3DV4, so that the Pack 1+2 keys became effective in the FSLabs A320. Unfortunately this works only limited with my A320. That means I can't use the toggle function. Because I only have buttons in my OVHD panel that don't engage, I can't use the OFF function. It is very difficult to press the button so short that the packs are not switched off immediately. That's why I looked at the programming in the editor and noticed that there was a writing error during programming, as you can see below. There you can see that in o…

I'm experiencing something odd with the rotary dial of the Saitek switch panel. According to the joystick setup page, the "off", "R", "L", and "BOTH/ALL" positions are respectively numbers 14 thru 17. When I rotate the dial clockwise, it functions as expected: [EVNT] Execute Command = "RL:06A30D670:14" [EVNT] Execute Command = "PR:06A30D670:15" [EVNT] Execute Command = "RL:06A30D670:15" [EVNT] Execute Command = "PR:06A30D670:16" [EVNT] Execute Command = "RL:06A30D670:16" [EVNT] Execute Command = "PR:06A30D670:17" However, when I rotate counterclockwise, it does this: [EVNT] Execute Command = "PR:06A30D670:16" [EVNT] Execute Command = "RL:06A30D6…

Hi, I am the author of the Carenado Phenom 300 module. I have been contacted by a fellow simmer who is trying to allocate controls in the Realair Duke B60. Specifically the Heading Bug. I pointed him toward the Duke LINDA module but then after looking at it myself (unfortunately I do not own this aircraft in FSX) I do not see any reference to a custom function for the Heading Bug. Does the Realair Duke have a custom Lvar for this event or does it use stock FSX event commands for this action? regards Stinger

Hi, I installed the Linda version _3_0_12_Standard_v1. Everything worked without problems. All switches and buttons could be activated. Now I finished the P3Dv4.5 and started it again after one hour. Linda was not started. Instead this message came from Windows: This version is not compatible with the running Windows version. Open the computer's system information to check if a 32-bit or 54-bit version of the program is required and contact the publisher of the software. My PC knowledge is not sufficient to understand what that means. I am using Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit, P3Dv4.5 and the FSLabs A320 Does anyone have any idea what happened? regards Ho…

Hello I have raise the same issue before (many years ago) regarding to LINDA that wasn't working with my FSX, I have since then then, moved on to P3DV4. I still got my VRInsight Airbus FCU and CDUII and installed the drivers, Linda. I have downloaded the PMDG module and it didnt work, but by using SerialFP2, it does work but I'm not getting the full functionality as you would get thro LINDA. Can you please support me through teamviewer ?

  11. Started by JackaboyChan,

Hi there, just got a Logitech multi panel for my flight sim build and trying to connect it to fsx. Doesn’t show in controls section of fsx, but when I go into LINDA it will connect and I can assign controls to switches and so forth. However when I go into my PMDG 737 and flick a switch for the auto throttle that I assigned, nothing happens, so I am led to believe that LINDA has not linked with my 737. Can someone please help me with this? P.S.: I have downloaded software from Avsim that allows LINDA to get all the PMDG 737NGX module functions and it links with fsx ok

  12. Hi all, Slowly getting to grips with using LINDA for custom actions with switches etc but still having a problem getting my head into reading Lvars and getting returned values to trigger other things like a sound etc. I think I know enough to know that the code below is wrong but it would help me enormously if someone could correct it. This would lead me onto a greater use of LINDA, even if it just helps the penny to drop. I have a module file that works well for switches but somehow, I have it in my head that this sort of code should be in the 'user' file and so that is where I have put this... -- Fuel Alarm -- function Fuel_Alarm() ftq=readLvar("FU…

Just wondering if there is a tutorial that shows how to setup the Shifted options in Linda. I'm a bit of a numpty on these things and at the moment I am at a standstill as to how to make use of the additional functionality beyond the unshifted. Thanks

Hi! i try to set up fsuipc ( and linda thereafter) in my prepar 3D Apparently i managed to set up FSUIPC ( also showed on addons menu, on prepar3D ) but when I set up linda, I receive in summary page under: flt sim/ FSUIPC configs in red “action required” with the further followup explanation “linda required a couple of lines to be added into FSUIPC4.INI file “ and I don’t know what to do next any help? please thanks in advance mark

I'm running LINDA Version 3.0.12.810, and have been for about two months now.Never really had any problems before, except for a little glitch at setup over my throttle quadrants. I've been writing my own lua scripts, and they've been running just fine up until the middle of last week. Now, however, if a newly-created function attempts to write to, or read from, a Lvars, nothing happens. I can see the function called, I can trace the button as it is activated and deactivated, but the LVar value itself does not change. As well, if I remove a function that has been working, make and save any changes to the user.lib, and then paste that function back inside, it no longer work…

  18. For some reason I no longer can add functions to LINDA. In fact, if I simply delete a function that has always worked, save the user library, open that and paste the function back inside, exactly where it formerly was, it will no longer work. Not sure what's up: hoping there's a way of repairing the program; if not, I'll have to clean install it.

  19. Hi all, This code what I wrote is all about getting an alarm to sound when the fuel reaches a certain value of emptiness, i.e. at 47 gallons. But it ain't working. It is not my intention to assign it to a button. It resides in the actions.lua file for the specific aircraft. The sound file resides in the fsx/sound folder: -- Fuel Alarm -- function Fuel_Alarm() if ipc.readLvar("A:FUEL_TOTAL_QUANTITY, gallons")==47 then alarmf=sound.play("BingoFuel") sound.adjust(alarmf, 100) end ipc.sleep(50) end So far, all my coding that I've assigned to button/switches are working so where have I gone wrong chaps? Thanks in advance, …

While trying to trace and debug a script I'm working on, FSUIPC4 detected something going on with init.lua (located in C:\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\Modules\linda\system). The date of the file is 9/23/2018, so it isn't as if I've accidentally modified it. The particular error is: Syntax error! ...steamapps\common\FSX\Modules\linda\system\common.lua:109: attempt to call global 'buttonRepeatClear' (a nil value) stack traceback: ...steamapps\common\FSX\Modules\linda\system\common.lua:109: in function 'Init' ...Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\Modules Line: 287: in main chunk

Hi, me again, Here's a simple question: How do I interrogate something like for example, fuel quantity? Let's say I want to have LINDA examine the FUEL_TOTAL_QUANTITY and if it is less than X gallons, play an alarm sound. It's an 'if' 'then' 'else' thing, right? But what is the correct structure fo the code? Honestly, I've looked but I can't find an example of such a simple thing anywhere. Thanks in advance, D

  22. Started by Jsearl98,

I have recently started using LINDA and have downloaded and successfully installed the PMDG 747 QOTSII module for my VrInsight MCP Combo I. However I am not having similar success with the PMDG 777 module. The module I have downloaded from AVSIM in its original form does not prefix function assignments with PMDG, as in the drop down PMDG 777 Module Functions. If I change the function to that in the latter drop down function menu, my MCP console works. Rather than have to laboriously change each function, is there a way of importing the PMDG 777 Module Functions directly into the module? Thanks John Earl

P3D 4.5.12.30293 FSLABS 2.0.2.400 FSUIPC 5.151 Linda 3.0.12 for p3d 64bit FSLabs Airbus A3xx-X 0.14 BET A Hi all. I can't find the command relating to the "Passenger Address PA functions" key in the module functions. I tried to solve by doing a Macro with fsuipc but I only did to insert the command and not to unplug it, I have to do it from the mouse. If there were not a specific command, how can I create a macro that does the job opposite to the command, though using the same action as the mouse? Even with this last one, sometimes the PA command remains permanently inserted, other times it disarms as soon as I leave the key. Some advice? thank you so…

  24. I just started using LINDA this week. So far, other than some oddities (which I'm enjoying figuring out) it's been pretty easy. However . . . Today I added a new Saitek throttle quadrant to the two I'd already had. FSUIPC4 borked it up by reassigning the quadrants new positions. Thankfully I used the option to assign letters, so fixing that was fairly easy. But the same thing happened in LINDA, and I don't see a way of remapping/renaming. The flight yoke system and throttle quadrant didn't change, but now LINDA reads the new quadrant as the original second quadrant, with the original quadrant now assigned as the new one . . . including swapping all the button assignm…
