LINDA Support

Morning All Not sure if this is possible, or I stuck on how to achieve this. Scenerio: To use the Mode switch to allocate different key functions within Linda The Saitek Yoke has a 3 position 'Mode' Switch. Which 'I think' allows buttons to have 3 different functions mapped to them, depending on the position of the mode switch. What I have manged to achieve so far is for LINDA to 'see the MODE switch as buttons(deleting the default saitek profile in system32). Mode 1 : button 23 (normal/standard mode) Mode 2 : button 24 Mode 3 : button 25 In mode 1 I have mapped the hat and buttons directly to 'Chase Plane' camera functions. A…

Hi all, I am currently in the process of building a LINDA Module for the new Captain Sim 757 III. I have recorded all LVAR data and have been able to use it for switches and buttons with the VRInsight MCP Combo 2 (Boeing). However, my problem lies with displaying SPD/IAS, HDG, ALT and V/S information on the VRInsight LCD Display and using the various rotary dials. When I try to add code for them, the dials don't respond and nothing appears on the LCD Display. I've been able to display SPD/IAS, HDG and ALT when LINDA is first loaded and the MCP boots up, but that's it. Does anybody have any example script they can give me to start me off? I have the current GSX Library and the current PMDG 747-400 module installed. I can see both via the LINDA interface and have allocated a number of buttons to PMDG functions - no issues. Upon calling the GSX catering and boarding services, LINDA is failing to open the relevant doors. I can open them manually via the PMDG FMC but if I don't do that I continue to get the GSX SIMCONNECT messages to open the doors and there is no action from LINDA. When the catering vehicles leave, the R1 door closes automatically, however the R5 door closes and then reopens again. Odd. Hi! After installing SP1 for the MaddogX the COM, NAV, ADF on my MCP Combo II don't work anymore. I can tune frequencies on MCP II but can't make them active anymore. Seems like the developer changed something. Any chance to fix this? Thank you Oliver Wagentristl

Hi everyone Nothing about P3D V4.4 so far so I will start. So far I have not had any problems everything seems to go quicker, loading, response etc and that's my problem now. I have just been flying the MJC Dash 8-400 when I adjust the heading or altitude on the VRinsight MCP the values jump by 1000' i.e. in fast mode unless you turn the knob slowly. I will b flying again this afternoon and will try other planes. Any ideas how to slow things down. Frank Darbyshire

I've been using Linda on three addons (PMDG737ngx, AeroSoft Airbus Pro 64bit and QW787) - its worked really well for me. I notice that on the Airbus I get a BEEP when using Global Shift and a long BEEP when unshifted but not in the other two aircraft - is there a way to enable and or disable the beep? (nice to be alerted when shifting etc) thanks - Julian

Hi there, Few month ago I had the multi switch panel from vrinsight. That was a big dissapointment, But I'm now looking at the Airbus combo II or the Boeing combo II. But does that panel work better than the the multi panel switch in terms of rotation speed with de altittude,heading and speed, and are all buttons programmable for other aircraft? And does it work in p3d, bacause it days it only for fs2009 and FSX? Because I had slot of trouble with the Airbus speed/altitude/heading knob setting or does it have a profile for the Airbus or Boeing planes? Trying to tune the radios and swap frequencies with the Q-400 module. 1. The frequencies in the aircraft do not change when I change them on my VRInsight Combo. 2. When I click swap on my Combo, I get "LUA.0: RADIOS : Empty command for :: COM1 Swap" I'd troubleshoot but that code in those libraries is quite involved. Can someone help? Gregg EDIT: Spot checked other commands like ALT, HDG, Altimeter and they're working fine. Also checked another aircraft and it's working fine. Tried various things...making sure both ARCDUs are on, etc. Adjusting the frequencies and swapping in the aircraft works fine.

Hi Guys, Is there somewhere in LINDA that the repeat rate of a button can be set? I have a button to cancel the Glideslope warning call-out via LUA code but because the repeat rate is too slow i am still hearing G...G...G...G etc cheers Stinger

Hello! I installed the latest Module for the Milviz Turbo Otter v1.3 and followed the instructions under "To install the module". I can assign keys but they do nothing in the otter. P3Dv4 by the way. Thank you!

Hi everybody, I use LINDA with PMDG 737NGX, PMDG 777, and Level-D 767. The only switch I can´t configure with any of these airplanes is the Disengage bar. It doesn´t work, neither with keyboard mapping (Z key) nor with the corresponding option in the LINDA menu (named "Disengage bar toggle" or similar depending on the airplane). Has anybody observed this with LINDA? Thank you.

Hi, just installed P3D v 4.3 along with FSUIPC 5.14. When I run LINDA, the error message I get is "P3D-64 and FSUIPC running, FSUIPC files not found. When clicking on action required, it takes me to VRInsight mcp settings. I don't have that module. On flt sim version and FSUIPC version, it tells me to start sim to check and P3D IS running. I checked in the modules folder and FSUIPC and the related files are all where they should be. Airbus Pro When using Linda ThrustRevers1 & 2 only thrustlevers 1 works. That is, when I pull No. 2, then Liver 1 also pulls n1. No. 2 Does not move at all. Hope there is someone who has an idea. I only use FSUIPC5, P3D4,3 and LINDA. Hi Andrew First of all, thanks for this update for the QW-787. I recently installed it and everything is fine but after assigning buttons and switches in my Saitek panels, I have 4 seconds of delay in the execution. What could be happening? I'm using Linda v3.05, W7-64 / FSX Thanks in advance.

Hello, Maybe it's been written before but i can't find it. my problem is that i can't send signals to p3dv4 with my combo II(Boeing). i've tried everything what is possible the weird thing is that if i change something in p3dv4, it changes on the combo to but not the other way. i use the latest updates for fsuipc and linda. any suggestions? thank you already. regards, Kurt

Hi Andrew, I lost inputs on my switch panel and radio panel. They were working fine a few days ago and cant figure out what wen wrong. I tried your procedures on Saitek Panels, but did not do anything. They're connected and they show up, but no inputs. Hi, I updated my LINDA module for PMDG 737 NGX 4.12 and I noticed that when I press a switch, the MCP-II display shows the new switch position and doesn´t change to the previous state some seconds later, as it happened with previous versions like 4.5. This is an inconvenient because for example when I press APU to ON and then to START it keeps showing "start" and never doesn´t change to show the APU increasing temperature and then to the "APU ready" sign, so I don´t know when I can press APU GEN switches; when I press another switch, for example APU GEN R, then shows "APU GEN R ON" and it keeps showing this until I press the next switch, and so on. I am unable to program buttons to many switches in this plane. I try to assign a button on my TM Hotas Warthog. In LINDA 3.03 for example I press a button which is detected by LINDA then I select the function Battery On for this button. But it does not work. The battery (master) is not affected by the programmed button. The same apply to many other functions (but not all) although for example Avionics on did work with the programmed button. I don't have this problem with for example the A2A C182 (FSX SE). This problem occur in both FSX SE and P3D 2.5
